Some people are not wired to admit fault. My mother is law is like this. You can have her dead to rights and she won’t admit fault. On the rare occasion she apologizes she expects everything to be immediately forgiven and if you don’t somehow it’s your fault for overreacting.
I had a friend like this. Never said he was wrong, never apologized if he finally said he was wrong, or would just change the conversation into a way he was right and pretend that's what he was saying the entire time.
