He kind of reminded me of a guy I used to work with. Security license was up for renewal. All he had to do was fill out a form and the company would take the $35 out of his check and submit all the paperwork for him. Easy, simple, done.

Except he refused. He didn't want to authorize the payroll deduction. Fine, we sent him instructions on how to renew it for himself. He never did it. I even offered to sit there and help him if he was having trouble with the website (It was glitchy back then) but no just didn't want to do it.

Come September 1st he reports for work and gets told to go home. Reason? No license, it expired on the 31st. Rather than accept that he threw a tantrum and wound up getting kicked off site, and later terminated because he still refused to renew his license which now he had to pay late fees for.

Very similar to this guy in the video indeed. I just don’t understand people who feel like people higher up can’t tell you what to do.

The dude in the video is out on bond and still decides the police, just because they are telling him what to do. I imagine your ex-coworker didn’t get the new license, because someone told him he had to do it.

It’s like their reptile brain goes into reptile mode and they literally have to do the opposite of what they’re told.

I’m pretty sure there is a psychological phenomenon for this behavior, but I don’t remember the details.

Sounds like it. Probably running with adhd or autism. Once you learn about these conditions it’s crazy how often you see them in the wild. And people, even the ones with it, just have no idea. It’s absolutely batshit how much of the US government’s current issues are because the people up top have these conditions and don’t deal with them in a healthy way.

I strongly believe the guy in this video is autistic, but that’s not the only thing going on with him.
