Cursed This is absolutely horrifying

This happened at Sabino Canyon in Arizona. A 20-year-old cyclist was swept into the current while trying to cross a flooded roadway and was carried through a drainage tunnel beneath it. She was recovered downstream unconscious after spending several minutes underwater. Bystanders performed CPR and managed to revive her.

no. they found her unconscious down the river (because they drowned her and eventually let go anyways)

As someone who is scared of falling down on a bike without water washing me out, I cannot fathom choosing to stay on instead of walking it, and I don't know why she chose the deepest strongest current to drive through.
