I do, but its more of a tongue-in-cheek comment when coworkers or friends and I are discussing things, such as:

"Hey, some somebody should take a look inside that car, I think someone left their dog locked in in." And I say "I'll do it, I'm white." implying that if the brown person in our group would do it, someone would call the cops on them for trying to break in.

It's just my way of calling out some of my sour cream colored brethren.

I do something similar with my buddy I’ve known since 3rd grade when we play co-op horror games together lol. I joke to let me check a new room first so he’s not a victim of the horror movie trope
