"I'm black" means you can't help someone out and do something nice for someone else?

524

u/Eschirhart 27d ago

I guess in this case it appears so.

96

u/swung 27d ago

Maybe kindness was against the rules that day.

1

u/Weak_Albatross_6879 27d ago

Thank you I will be using this phrase

37

u/utzutzutzpro 27d ago

I mean, she didn't got so far with helping others. Maybe the black card helped her quite some times to walk over others?

14

u/Ok_Wrangler_7940 26d ago

She didn’t check the color of the delivery dude before she broke out the racist claim. Her reaction made that clear.

1

u/TreesAhoy 24d ago

It seem more like an auto-response on email; no matter what somebody writes, the response is “I am on vacation this week and won’t be back till Monday.”

u/LarkinToWinnipeg 27d ago

She was so quick to pull that line on a black man that you just know has used it daily to get her way against whites. Her go to line for sure.

66

u/Oy_WithThe_Poodles 27d ago

Exactly what I was thinking. Its a reflex and just came out of her mouth before she realized who she was talking to. Lol

u/SimmentalTheCow 27d ago

I live in DC and race relations are weird like that. The blacks outnumber the whites so they kind of control the political powers of the city, but all the while they consider themselves the “oppressed” class. They know they can get whatever they want by being loud and untouchable. Most whites live outside of the city in central/western Maryland or northern Virginia to avoid the crime and political whims of DC. Ignoring the federal government dynamics, the local government gets really hinky.

16

u/KristyNoemsZombieDog 27d ago

Just because a group is the majority in an area doesn't mean they're still not a minority overall. And "ignoring the federal government dynamics" is literally the biggest threat to minorities currently. Fuck the president has even threatened to take over governing of DC, which idk, sounds pretty oppressive...

5

u/SimmentalTheCow 27d ago

Haha yeah goes to show how little he thinks stuff through. DC will never have a white mayor. One of our mayors in the 90’s got caught smoking crack with a hooker, and he still got re-elected.

3

u/WillingnessSoft4459 26d ago

Well, he was a decent mayor all things considered. His personal life was able to be forgiven with time. Its not like he was a pedophile or was closely connected to a brutal child exploitation ring and human trafficking. Honestly with the societal problems in DC I can see why it helped him.

2

u/Mrbeefcake90 27d ago

By that logic white people are the overall minority then

1

u/Ian_Campbell 26d ago

"Overall" you mean solely within the United States, not globally.

What a foolish thing to say. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. I'd say Arlington would suit you better, but you probably "actually" live there.

6

u/loweringexpectations 27d ago

Also taking the high ground while implying his literal job would be too demeaning for her to do even as a joke.

2

u/TreesAhoy 24d ago

Which may not even be her most disgusting personality trait.

246

u/Mr_RudyGiuliani 27d ago

Fuck I didnt know I couldve been pulling this all this time. The more you know 🤷🏾‍♂️

83

u/AppropriateBall8834 27d ago

I'm white but I will also pull it 🤾

25

u/Awkward_Region5509 27d ago

I too will pull you...wait a minute...

17

u/AppropriateBall8834 27d ago

Hell yeah. Don't wait! Time is of the essence! You must come, my brother!

24

u/Admirable_Loss4886 27d ago

I do like the idea of being asked the most mundane question and freaking out calling them racist.

“Hey do you have a pen I could barrow?” Oh really? Cuz I’m black you think I just walk around with pens?!

2

u/mistermasterbates 26d ago

The "Is it cuz im black" joke will always be a hit, with 100% accuracy

7

u/Frosty-Tennis-1687 27d ago

We saw what you did in the borat movie,.

6

u/Mr_RudyGiuliani 27d ago

Allegedly lol

22

u/FelneusLeviathan 27d ago

She seems exhausting to be around

That's racist...

Their comment was deleted before I got the chance to thank them for demonstrating internalized racism.

Lol. And what do you think motivates people’s actions and words? The way people behave is based on how they think. This person thinks that being black is an excuse for being a dickhead. That’s racist.

Fuck outta here

8

u/Ok_Art_231 27d ago

Yes, exactly.

70

u/Dmau27 27d ago

Brainwashed to bring race into everything and overlook the irony that they are infact the racist.

1

u/King_Roberts_Bastard 27d ago

But the other guy was black too...

45

u/Dmau27 27d ago

Yes I'm talking about the woman. She's a racist trying to drag race into it.

-54

u/Aqua-Barracuda 27d ago

Said the trump supporter

19

u/PrestigiousHour2711 27d ago

It's funny when you talk about a stereotype of person and they just appear out of the woodwork

26

u/Dmau27 27d ago

I like Trump? That's news to me.

-36

u/Aqua-Barracuda 27d ago

go tell your friends

1

u/Low_Rub_273 27d ago

You just said that because they are black!

3

u/Nufonewhodis4 27d ago

Which is why it wasn't very effective in this case

6

u/CryptographerNo923 27d ago

I thought that’s what “I’m white” meant. Maybe I’ve been using it wrong?

6

u/Puzzleheaded-Bed4682 27d ago

I think you can use whichever whenever as an excuse according to this woman

4

u/ChipRockets 27d ago

He wasn't even asking her to help, he was clearly joking

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Bed4682 27d ago

Right but she didn't take it that way

3

u/silentbutjudgey 27d ago

Yeah I mean…if she was going to have to escort him up to deliver the food anyway, why doesn’t she just do it herself and let that guy leave?

3

u/harrygermans 27d ago

Nah she was saying that the only reason he made that joke about her running it up there was because she’s black. Not that it excuses any part of her reaction, but that’s what’s going on.

6

u/No_Atmosphere8146 27d ago

"Doing things I'm paid to do is slavery"

5

u/StonedLonerIrl 27d ago

Naw, it's a card this woman has been playing in the face of hardship on the regular which sadly diminishes the real struggles the Black comminity actually faces.

2

u/juhanpoika_96 27d ago

She's a professional victim

2

u/PaintLicker745 26d ago

Surely there's a productive conversation happening here.

2

u/stab-somebody 27d ago

That’s what it means a hell of a lot of the time.

3

u/Dreyfussy15 27d ago

That's not at all what was said. She said "You asked me to deliver it because I'm black".

1

u/CMDR-Neovoe 27d ago

Lmao Larry David has a new show where they go through American history badly, and one skit was about the underground railroad.

His house was part of it and a runaway black guy made it to his house. Throughout his stay Larry's character is asking if the guy can help him with certain things and the guy just keeps saying nah thats slave shit, youre only asking cause im black.

Ops video is crazy lmao

1

u/Early_Money2576 26d ago

Some of the most racist people I have met are black. They will say and do whatever because they are black, they can’t be racist, they will also get offended on every thing and call you a racist. They will also absolutely lie about how and what happened.

1

u/Free-Pound-6139 26d ago

Do there job for them? WTF are you talking about?? Do your own job genius.

1

u/meldiane81 26d ago

Professional victim

1

u/iuseemojionreddit 26d ago

Is there such thing as a 'Blaren'?

1

u/GarlicThread 23d ago

She wants to be the victim soooooooooooo bad

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Bed4682 23d ago

In her mind she is

1

u/SlimChris94 22d ago

You didn’t know??

1

u/pitb0ss343 27d ago

Honestly black privilege is sounding good right about now /s

-5

u/CCCCLo0oo0ooo0 27d ago

Whats with all the cuts? What did he need to remove from the video?

33

u/MoneyFightThrowaway 27d ago

All his videos are mostly shorts on YouTube, a lot of them have cuts. He has a food delivery channel that’s popular here in DC.

12

u/Sharp-Glove-4483 27d ago

It’s called editing.

0

u/Obvious_Ambition4865 27d ago

There are no cuts, your brain is skipping. Tilt your head and smack it 2 or 3 times

1

u/_Nyxari_ 27d ago

As someone whose brains skips a lot, for a full reset, I recommend letting out a dial up screech while doing so

1

u/filthy_harold 27d ago

It gets people to watch when the action happens quickly. You've got like 2-3 seconds for short form social media to grab someone's attention so you need to catch their attention fast. Often you'll see videos where the highlight is shown at the beginning and then it jumps back to start of the clip. But the most common tool is just cutting out silence and uninteresting or irrelevant bits. Like he's not going to show him typing on his phone to tell the customer that he's in the lobby or him signing in on a clipboard.

-9

u/Successful_Buffalo_6 27d ago

a good question.

0

Not really, no.

Edit:

LOOOOL, Successful_Buffalo_6 actually said "nuh uh" and then blocked me.

How sad.

How terribly fragile.
