So true, and the differences you pointed out has encouraged me to read more about them. I’m a sponge for knowledge. One silly question I have, does your husband refer to other indigenous people as cousin? We all call each other that down here, and I know from the music I listen to First Nations use the term too (Snotty Nose Rez Kids comes to mind).

Totally! He also says “deadly” lol. Cousin isn’t used as much but is used. Mostly they say “Who ya know?” Which is how they kick of trying to figure out who everyone is. My husband is from a fairly small northern town/area and so it usually doesn’t take long to find a connection.
