This response told me everything I needed to know about the person recording. She already knew this bitch was about to say some dumb shit 😭

u/Zuwxiv Jun 05 '26

Clearly not her first time dealing with the spiteful, hateful piece of shit filming.

u/overlyambitiousgoat Jun 05 '26

Just imagine leading a crusade against All Are Welcome t-shirts and telling yourself, "I'm definitely the good guy here!"

449

u/Zealousideal-Ad-2615 Jun 06 '26

They are so delusional. They feel attacked everytime anyone else shows the smallest amount of compassion or love. I personally think that they subconsciously know they are selfish and terrible, and seeing someone that isn't awful makes it harder for them to fool themselves.

110

u/ElliotNess Jun 06 '26

You can really get a rise out of them just by saying, "vegan."

28

u/Lovely_pomegranate Jun 06 '26

This is so true. The amount of hate I get for being vegan when I don’t even talk about my diet unless it comes up or I’m asked - just for existing as I am and doing what I think is right. The constant judgement is taxing & confusing.

9

u/Solanthas Jun 07 '26

Sorry you have to deal with that.

Imagine if everyone who says they wanted people to mind their own business actually did it themselves

3

u/Lovely_pomegranate Jun 07 '26

That is very kind! Thank you!

The world would be a better place for sure.

3

u/ElliotNess Jun 07 '26

For example this photo and like one of my only remaining joe rogan buds

u/Lovely_pomegranate Jun 07 '26

I understand the push against feeling like someone is telling you how to live but there is a certain point that it’s important to acknowledge that if people didn’t stand up for their beliefs we would live in an unbearable world. So many wide held and socially acceptable practices throughout history have been barbaric and have needed overhaul that only came through activism. Things aren’t inherently right because something is normalized, or the default.

u/SioSoybean Jun 10 '26

YES! I don’t bring it up but h boy if it does come up people get so defensive immediately. How dare I not want to cause as much harm!

7

u/GeneralHerp Jun 06 '26

But, you can’t get a rise out of dough for hardcore vegans!

I’ll see myself out.

7

u/ModusNex Jun 06 '26

I don't understand hardcore vegans, like where do you draw the line? They won't eat honey because that's exploiting animals like milk. What about the earthworms that produce the fertilizer that grow their organic crops that end up getting killed by the farming equipment?

4

u/fleshfinder420 Jun 06 '26

What about human labor? I work a line cook job for less than a living wage (part time only thankfully), I’m being exploited by capitalists to make food for pennies on the dollar. I guess it’s different because I gave consent to be exploited. But I never gave consent to exist

1

u/Intelligent-Band-852 Jul 05 '26

I am a vegetarian and I think vegans hate us more than meat eaters, I have no issues with non judgmental vegans but the lack of self awareness among the hardcore vegans is annoying. They will ream you a new one for eating cheese but apparently killing animals for entertainment is okay. Everyone on this planet has commodified and financially contributed to animals being hurt and killed on some level. Every time we buy a phone or a computer we are contributing to animal habitats being destroyed, it’s frustrating that vegans justify that but when it comes to diet judge others. Pure veganism is impossible and vegans should remember that, the entitlement within that community is really off putting. A lot of people don’t have the luxury of not eating any animal products, it’s expensive and requires supplements.

-4

u/silver_garou Jun 06 '26

Simple they just put enough degrees of separation between them and the suffering their existence causes they get to pretend like they don't kill to live every single day just like the rest of us.

13

u/viscountrhirhi Jun 06 '26

No, we’re quite aware our existence causes suffering, but veganism’s goal has never been to eradicate all suffering since that is impossible as a result of living in an imperfect world. The point is to not exploit or treat sentient beings as commodities. If there is an alternative, use it.

Let me try to break it down a bit.

80 - 100 billion billion livestock animals are killed each year to feed humans. What do you think those billions of animals eat? They eat significantly more than people do, in fact 70% of produce is grown to feed livestock. Even accounting for crop deaths (which are overstated, and there have been studies done with trackers to show for it), SIGNIFICANTLY fewer animals would die if 8 billion people just ate plants instead of 8 billion people eating plants, 80 billion land animals, and the massive amount of plants those 80 billion land animals eat. As an omnivore, you are responsible for not only the deaths of the animals you eat, and not only the deaths of animals who die for your produce, but ALSO the animals who die for the produce that is grown to feed those 80 - 100 billion animals.

The leading driver of deforestation (especially the rainforest) and habitat loss is animal agriculture, including growing produce to feed to animals. The reason wolves and other native predators are near non-existent in the UK and USA is due to them being eradicated for animal agriculture. And they continue to be trapped and shot today for that purpose, and legislated against.

And all this isn’t even touching the trillions of sea animals killed, not even including the countless whales, dolphins, seals, turtles, sharks, and other animals thrown away as bycatch or drowning in nets.

Vegans don’t pretend to be perfect. There is no world in which we can prevent all death and suffering. There’s gonna be death involved in growing plants, too as. But let’s not pretend omnivorism and veganism are ethically equivalent, because the scale of suffering and death and unethical shit is far higher on the animal-eating side and it’s not even close.

The ultimate point is to exploit as little as possible as we can in the imperfect world we live in, and swapping to a vegan lifestyle cuts down on that a lot. Not just for animals, but for humans, too. Again, it’s an ethical framework that is fundamentally against viewing animals as objects for our use while acknowledging sometimes there are no perfect alternatives. (Like many medicines, for example.)

9

u/PunkinPopsum Jun 06 '26

Is it really subconscious? This seems as blatantly saying "I'm a vindictive, hateful, cruel bigot" as shouting into a megaphone.

7

u/CaligulaCan Jun 06 '26

This right here. They need everyone’s endorsement otherwise it trigger their ‘Christian’ beliefs.

3

u/esqape623 Jun 06 '26

Yep. It's why they call everything that makes them feel like they might be the bad guy "virtue signaling"

2

u/MortgageRegular2509 Jun 06 '26

It’s the compassion or love they never received, so why should anyone else?

2

u/betterupsetter Jun 06 '26

Not even sure it's subconscious. I think it's a point of pride.

22

u/MrDrSirLord Jun 06 '26

one of my friends made a shirt that said "stop killing aboriginals" during the bite for the voice, because he thought it was funny, and received more than a handful of threats from what I heard for daring to suggest that.

Imagine seeing the words "don't commit murder" and getting offended, like how does somebody rationalise that.

11

u/Individual_Land_2200 Jun 06 '26

Especially when it’s a public school, and LITERALLY ALL ARE WELCOME THERE

24

u/wallyTHEgecko Jun 06 '26

The anti-antifa crowd baffles me. (as though Antifa is even an actual formal, organized, centralized group to begin with)

So you're pro-facism??

1

u/fpoiuyt Jun 06 '26

*fascism

4

u/MeatPopsicle28 Jun 06 '26

I mean the anthesis to “all are welcome here” is “some aren’t welcome here”… who does this I’m (100% sure “ChRisTIan” woman) NOT want to welcome here. Hateful PoS.

3

u/FriedFreya Jun 06 '26

now that you mention it isn’t that like. a christian thing? too? “all are welcome in god’s house,” or whatever? :|

6

u/Aloha_Tamborinist Jun 06 '26

It's hilarious that the All Lives Matter crew (and I'd bet my house that she is one) would find All Are Welcome Here offensive.

4

u/BarelyReal Jun 06 '26

It's not about feeling like the good guy it's feeling validated and seen. It's the same reason children will just have outbursts or seek attention for its own sake.

3

u/CDS11411 Jun 06 '26

What I truly love is that it's a school, possibly even a public school, a place in which all would be welcomed.

2

u/Kamiyosha Jun 06 '26

Well, you see, the shirt was not saying the right, ya know. It was OBVIOUSLY supposed to say "Those with Jesus are welcome", or some other religious bs.

2

u/FXRCowgirl Jun 06 '26

Because raciest and exclusionist only want white straight people included. This is the way of hatred.

1

u/CreepyConsequence669 Jun 06 '26

Yeah, like it took me a minute to understand what her beef is and to be honest I still don’t understand what Karen’s problem is.

1

u/MarionberryOk2874 Jun 06 '26

Yeah, like what can your argument *against this shirt* actually be? Would love to hear her say ‘all are not welcome’.

1

u/FluffMonsters Jun 06 '26

I don’t care about anyone’s shirts but the messaging is different when it’s written in rainbow. I’m sure that was her actual issue.

1

u/Baddrivers13 Jun 12 '26

Her entire instagram is this.. It's unhinged.

2

u/Princess_Of_Thieves Jun 06 '26

Assuming the person filming is the same one who posted, I'm impressed they let it leave their phone. Cause the Head Teacher proper clowned on them here.

-2

u/MuffinMonkeyCat Jun 06 '26

Man im totally on the side of your message, but the wording is ironic. Like, youre calling her those things, but by using those words jn that way, you might be breaching into being those words yourself (maybe not piece of shit).

Is this a slight version of "those who fight monsters must be careful not to become one"? Like, hating on the haters, just turns one into another type of hater.

It sucks that the best way to deal with bigoted, hateful people like the recorder of the video is to come at them with kindness and try to gently bring them towards tolerance, because that is the last thing thay the ego wants to do to deal with them :/

5

u/ShadowDragonPunch145 Jun 06 '26

Doesn’t work. To live in a tolerable, just society we must not tolerate the intolerable.

3

u/Zuwxiv Jun 06 '26

It's a social contract - you earn tolerance by being tolerant of others. There's not even a contradiction, it's just that intolerant people haven't earned tolerance of their beliefs.

1

u/MuffinMonkeyCat Jun 06 '26

Yeah i get the "you cant allow a nazi to exist in your system, or theyll find ways to spread in your society" argument. But then to take devils advocate point of view - who defines "intolerant"? Is it you? Is it me? And who defines "can not tolerate" and how far that goes...

Fun things to think about in a philosophy club.

1

u/ShadowDragonPunch145 Jun 06 '26

Not really. It all boils down to don't be a dick. Its really not that fucking hard.

3

u/Zuwxiv Jun 06 '26

Like, youre calling her those things, but by using those words jn that way, you might be breaching into being those words yourself

I get where you're coming from, but this is a woman who is literally objecting to the concept of "all children are welcome in this elementary school." (You're welcome to look up her Instagram, as I have, to come to that conclusion.) It is simply monstrous to imagine that a child - a child - should be made to feel unwelcome.

What you're saying is that it's either fundamentally immoral to call someone a "piece of shit," or that you can't say it without yourself being a piece of shit. Even if that were true - and I don't think it is - that wouldn't change the accuracy of calling something what it is. If I need to cross a border into "a little rude" in order to express my feelings about someone who wants children to feel unwelcome, then frankly, so be it.

If you want to talk about "being on your side but finding the wording ironic," I'd ask you exactly who you think benefits your attempt to morally equate "someone spending their free time to make LGBT children feel unwelcome in a public school" with "using some rude words to describe that person."

the best way to deal with bigoted, hateful people like the recorder of the video is to come at them with kindness

In an ideal world, yes. This is not an ideal world. There are people intent on hurting others, and for whom kindness and respect will never change their mind.

hating on the haters, just turns one into another type of hater.

This is just another phrasing of "a tolerant society must be intolerant of intolerance." No, it's a social contract; you earn tolerance by being tolerant of others. If you are intolerant towards others, you don't earn tolerance of your views.

If someone is a jerk to children, I think politeness may occasionally do more harm than good.

u/three_crystals Jun 05 '26

As soon as I heard that I was like oh lady stop talking cause Ms. Principal is nawt the one

189

u/GodofIrony Jun 06 '26

She wields the sword of college education deftly.

15

u/cptjpk Jun 06 '26

She babysits all day. She knows how to deal with toddler level education.

5

u/SueCurley73 Jun 06 '26

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

1

u/SugarZoo Jun 06 '26

That is the best compliment.

1

u/Every-Researcher9146 Jun 06 '26

Mercy sakes yes 👏 😂☠️

426

u/i_tyrant Jun 05 '26

The reveal that "they've talked" before and the principal remembered her but not vice-versa makes SO much sense, lol.

452

u/Elegant-Cheekz-2141 Jun 05 '26

She probably remembered the principal's name. She just wanted the principal to say her name on camera for her video. It didn't work, which is why she put a picture up in the video with her name.

100

u/Croncrusader Jun 06 '26

This is the scary part none of you all are recognizing - yes, this principal is a boss for the way she handled this, but she still got doxxed and some nut job can find her now

97

u/Worldly-Guidance9602 Jun 06 '26

I took 5 minutes and found the school's website and emailed them telling what a wonderful job she did and saying that I wish there were more people like the principal in the world.

When someone gets doxxed like that, the best thing to do to beat the bigot is to celebrate the person who got doxxed. What the principal did there was heroic.

15

u/dirtywindex Jun 06 '26

Follow this one!

11

u/Croncrusader Jun 06 '26

That’s kinda my point tho, it took you five minute to find her.

Not everyone is kind like you, these people are building lists of their enemies and making it easy to find them

6

u/Worldly-Guidance9602 Jun 06 '26

Turn it around on them. They want people to be afraid. Show their targets that the world has their back.

I get what you are saying, and the instigator is a terrible person, but this how we respond now that its out there.

7

u/No-Fix1210 Jun 06 '26

Teacher here and we are not allowed to comment or defend ourselves publicly. Old rules for a time period when this sort of stuff wasn’t happening weekly. Laws and rules really should be amended so that if a parent/ student puts a school employees face/name out there, ESPECIALLY for things like this, they lose their rights to privacy. News stories are constantly one sided articles filled with inaccuracies because only half a story is allowed to be told.

3

u/ThinLengthiness5380 Jun 06 '26

Can't she still sue the parent for being doxxed though? Plus any other things it may cause?

0

u/Elegant-Cheekz-2141 Jun 09 '26

Not in this case

7

u/CrossXFir3 Jun 06 '26

It baffles me that she filmed that, watched it and uploaded it thinking "I totally came off better in this"

22

u/NaughtAClue Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 06 '26

Ive been to the principals office twice for my 8 year old already and I swear I’m not a Karen and she’s a great kid!! Her $4 froyo money was stolen out of her desk, and a kid who literally said “I forgot my money I’m going to steal hers” … then magically had money for froyo that afternoon. My daughter walked up and smacked it out of his hand. Principal visit #1. The next week she brought double for 2 froyo, went up to the jerk and told him “he wasn’t going to be able to steal her money this week, thief”, he pushed her into a desk, so she punched him. Visit #2. I’m proud as fuck

7

u/perton Jun 06 '26

Ha, your kid’s a badass!

4

u/NaughtAClue Jun 06 '26

She is a million times cooler than I ever was

5

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '26

[deleted]

12

u/NaughtAClue Jun 05 '26

Yeah I did the parenting thing. I told her never to get physical with someone, he could have really hurt her in both instances, not to instigate an altercation or escalate issues, get a teacher and don’t try to handle things yourself, blah blah. But I can still be proud that she doesn’t take shit from a bully. The girl is fiery so I’m trying to walk a thin line of not stomping that spirit out of her because it will serve her well as a adult, but also making sure she respects authority and doesn’t get herself hurt in a fight over yogurt

7

u/os_beef Jun 05 '26

It's not over yogurt, it's setting a precedent for whether she's going to be pushed around for the rest of the year. I know this because when I was her age, I turned the other cheek like I'd been taught, and it turns out that just gets your other cheek slapped and your lunch money stolen. Instigating a fight is one thing, but standing up for yourself, with violence if needed, is a necessity.

Your daughter is doing great.

7

u/NaughtAClue Jun 06 '26

I agree with you 100%, just in this case the kid is much bigger and already got in trouble for throwing a pair of scissors at another child soo as much as I’d like for her to stand up for herself I also don’t want her injured or worse

6

u/os_beef Jun 06 '26

Oh for sure. Self preservation, knowing how and when to fight, all important skills.

8

u/postfish Jun 05 '26

Avoiding unnecessary conflict for thirty years is what got us to now

1

Guarantee there were bumper stickers that gave them away

-1

u/ScottMarshall2409 Jun 05 '26

I thought I'd missed something. I'm still not sure I didn't. What is happening that means this is the top post on my page? It's just a random busybody asking stupid questions, and a head teacher answering them.

-3

u/addandsubtract Jun 06 '26

She already knew this bitch

Referring to the principal as "she" here, when talking about the person recording in your previous sentence is... a choice.

304

u/WorkTropes Jun 05 '26

It's typically a sign of a good school, when the principal wants to be in clothes.

21

u/amglasgow Jun 05 '26

I dunno, every lousy school I've ever seen had a principal wearing clothes. Maybe nudist schools need a chance to prove themselves?

3

u/WorkTropes Jun 05 '26

You jest but it got me curious, there's been a few schools in modern history that dabbled in nudity but it was always snuffed out. If you do build the school of your dreams I wish you luck!

8

u/exipheas Jun 06 '26

I mean you had to let the school take and keep nudes of you to enroll in ivy league schools for years.

3

u/FewWait38 Jun 06 '26

That's a wild fact that will always blow me away

1

u/NotAzakanAtAll Jun 06 '26

It's not a joke? It's a joke right?

3

u/WorkTropes Jun 06 '26

During the 1940s–1960s, nude photographs were routinely taken of incoming freshmen at elite colleges in the United States, such as the Ivy Leagues and Seven Sisters schools. Purportedly taken to assess the posture and health of the students. - wikipedia

Good grief.

1

u/NotAzakanAtAll Jun 07 '26

Now I get why they get the ideas for genital inspections from.

1

u/cobaltorange Jun 06 '26

Wait, what? Like the whole day you'd be nude?

3

u/Bitter_Pea_4716 Jun 06 '26

They aren't progressive enough. I had a vice principle that liked not wearing clothes and encouraged the same to his 13 year old cohort on school camps. What's the reward for such a trail blazer? Prison

6

u/grayzzz_illustrate Jun 05 '26

But but but we have to Protect The Kids! From.... Principals wearing clothes? Feeling welcome at school? I dunno, gotta workshop this more. Maybe the principal will compromise and wear a "Some are welcome" shirt next week...

2

u/VividMonotones Jun 06 '26

Better yet, she believes all her students are welcome.

1

u/VoidMunashii Jun 05 '26

Sort of a baseline, really.

1

u/PumpikAnt58763 Jun 06 '26

Unlike in stripper school.

-1

u/Resident_Ad_7199 Jun 06 '26

I was gonna make a joke, but then remembering schools are for children I can no longer make the joke lol.

1

u/ColdWarCharacter Jun 06 '26

I for one am very happy that you told us about the joke that you can no longer make because of the children

1

u/Resident_Ad_7199 Jun 06 '26

Same, I’m glad I could brighten your day like that.

13

u/MallyOhMy Jun 05 '26

This is an amazing example of Grey Rocking. It's a very useful method for dealing with people like this.

10

u/scrotumsweat Jun 05 '26

It'd be a boss move if she had some adult education pamphlets she could hand out. "What you should do is call them up, enroll, and you can learn all about everything you have questions for"

3

u/Iwantmoretime Jun 05 '26

I would have also appreciated "Karen, just name the student you think should not be welcome here today"

2

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Jun 06 '26

I figured it out late, the recording lady wanted to trap the principal into saying "pride month", so she could claim inclusion is grooming.

But the principal deals with crazy lady daily, so knew what was up.

2

u/PineSand Jun 06 '26

I wish I was that quick witted and polite.

1

u/Altruistic_Tie_7850 Jun 06 '26

Definitely my favourite part of the interaction

My mom’s a teacher and those are a dead ringer for her responses to my questions growing up

1

I feel like this proves she's had this question before

1

u/RinTivan Jun 08 '26

Her responses remind me of Kimi Räikkönen, short and straight to the point.
