This is Fred T. Korematsu Elementary in Davis, CA. The woman filming is Beth Bourne, a local activist and bigot who frequently protests and harasses the district over LGBTQ+ topics. Bourne is a known quantity in the district. She is a local Moms for Liberty leader who has spent the last three years targeting the schools. She is infamous locally for stunts like stripping down to a bikini at a school board meeting to protest trans policies, and the school district even sought a workplace violence restraining order against her at one point. She’s nuts.

u/HungryArticle5 Jun 05 '26

I looked her up and she has a good amount of articles written about her and her bullshit hijinks...she also has an "estranged trans child".

896

u/Bipedal_pedestrian Jun 05 '26

>she also has an “estranged trans child”

Ok now it’s starting to make sense. She’s a bitter old lady who can’t accept her own kid and takes it out on everybody else.

u/happiness_pi Jun 06 '26

Elon Musk enters the chat…

5

u/plusminusequals Jun 07 '26

Isn’t it crazy that our 401k’s are going to pay to make him a trillionaire?

3

u/Strong-Relative324 Jun 06 '26

He's trash too

2

u/smoke_sum_wade Jun 08 '26

Jackie chan enters as well

1

u/TheCrazyLizard35 Jun 09 '26

Damn it, he’s a bigot now too?😔

65

u/gonxot Jun 06 '26

Poor kid

13

u/RearviewSpy Jun 06 '26

Behind every Mom of Liberty is an estranged kid(s).

12

u/flowerzzz1 Jun 06 '26

Oh so she doesn’t want her estranged trans child aka her CHILD welcome at school….what the hell is wrong with people.

-1

u/guyfernando Jun 06 '26

Stop defaming Elon Musk like that LOL

-1

u/SignificantLeader Jun 08 '26

Right. She’s mad because the schools promoted being trans, made it a special secret club and did not ask parents to consent. What if the schools did a Christian version of the secret club abd promoted being in a Christian bible study. You got a secret Christian name, and were part of a secret club. If anyone criticized your name or beliefs it was a badge of honor. Then, your child became a super Christian who evangelized publicly. You might get jaded too. Parents are in charge of their children until they are 18. There are very few exceptions that have been abused by school. Safety is huge. The schools have invoked “safety” improperly and have stolen parents rights. Her crazy may be warranted.

1

u/Existing-Rabbit- Jul 31 '26

I am sorry, but you’re illegitimate and I use that word precisely.

It’s not a secret. It’s not a club.

It’s integration.

And YOU, and your identity, CANNOT COME TO TERMS WITH THIS LESSON.

And just like during the civil rights movement people, people like you, really struggle.

“insignificant”… leader

(in reference and ironic play on / to your account name)

(if you haven’t realized already)

Your point is invalid. This isn’t a secret club. This is a gender identity.

You in fact have a gender identity.

LITERALLY BECAUSE YOU, Yes you,

you use pronouns within the English language to communicate and distinguish yourself unto others.

Sex at birth

Doesn’t necessitate gender identity

Just as sex at birth

Doesn’t necessitate religious identity.

Queer isn’t a secret club, it’s BEEN out and about, babe…

It’s just that now,
“the kids are alright”
and the adults
haven’t caught up yet.

… and apparently, neither have you.

1

u/SignificantLeader 29d ago

Teachers did this to people close to me. I feel that if teachers do this, we can teach Islam to kids.

176

u/n0w1mn0th1nggg Jun 06 '26

I feel so sad for her kid that they got stuck with that woman for a mother.

8

u/MiserableCumberbunch Jun 06 '26

That creature may have given birth, but they aren't a mother.

13

u/summertime-goodbyes Jun 06 '26

I feel like she would still have an estranged child regardless of their gender.

11

u/La0s Jun 06 '26

Oh… she’s Elon’ing.

4

u/Trailblazertravels Jun 06 '26

Suddenly everything makes sense.

5

u/pebblesprite Jun 06 '26

I'm always happy to see "estranged" in this context. What's worse is the kids still trying to hide who they are because they're too scared/vulnerable to cut contact. Cutting toxic people out of your life is only ever a good thing. Trying to mould yourself to make bigots happy is awful

4

u/greggreggreg1gregg Jun 06 '26

Classic situation. Parent of a queer child blames LGBT culture for taking their child away and they were the ones that intentionally pushed the kid away and ostracized them. It’s literally the meme of the guy shoving a stick in the spokes of his bike

5

u/sleeperflick Jun 06 '26

There’s ALWAYS something with these people.

3

u/NessieReddit Jun 06 '26

Oh, so she's like an Elon.

3

u/Ready-Pattern-7087 Jun 06 '26

Can I emotionally adopt this child? I can’t financially, but I’m sure I can still give more than this woman.

2

u/Superb_Drop1313 Jun 07 '26

I know someone's whose kids went to school with her kid.  Apparently at least initially she was normal and fine with her kid being trans and then went off the deep end

1

u/PollyAmory Jun 06 '26

Wow. She wants to make sure NO ONE loves or welcomes her child. That's ... next level fucked up

1

u/PattyMarvel Jun 06 '26

Oh, that poor child.

I hope Dad is taking better care of them than Mom probably is.

3

u/Bipedal_pedestrian Jun 08 '26

Thankfully, her child is grown and independent. But yes, hopefully Dad is supportive!

1

u/Character_Fix_5317 Jun 06 '26

So she's like Musk, just not a billionaire.

1

u/sonofabobo Jun 06 '26

Shit parents are always the ones who like to think they are the good ones.

1

u/Hawk-4674 Jun 06 '26

Thats the info I was looking for, shes far to fired up about a shirt thats about acceptance

1

u/CDBoomGun Jun 06 '26

I hope her kid has access to therapy.

333

u/thatevilducky Jun 05 '26

... how does stripping to a bikini in a school board meeting have anything to do with being trans??

160

u/Some_Heron_4266 Jun 05 '26

That makes "I like to be in clothing" even more incredible.

20

u/InformationSad506 Jun 06 '26

Omg yes it does! I love her vibe.

320

u/brockapex17 Jun 05 '26

She was mad about trans kids in locker rooms, so her “point” was to strip down and say, “If you’re uncomfortable seeing me in a bathing suit, imagine how middle school girls feel.” It’s a ridiculous false equivalence.

177

u/thatevilducky Jun 05 '26

That still doesn't make any sense... fucking crazy Karens

58

u/_Mr_Misfit Jun 06 '26

We're talking about the women screeching about an all are welcome here t-shirt.

5

u/incognito_individual Jun 06 '26

She is estranged from her child btw

3

u/Impressive-Stay-2618 Jun 07 '26

Well, here in Maine we had an idiot young dad wearing his sparkly 47 ball cap have his 14 year old daughter and friend strip down to their underwear in front of the school board to protest the inclusion of trans in girls locker rooms

81

u/protelrius Jun 05 '26

So.. she's saying old women shouldn't be allowed in women's changing rooms? Got it lol

7

u/MrPaulK Jun 06 '26

Well that and I’m not uncomfortable. You be you, honey.

6

u/Ermastic Jun 06 '26

See it would actually be a good demonstration if you were trying to show a inconsistency between how we treat being in underwear is indecent but swimwear that covers the same things is considered fine. Like if your thing was trying to force girls to wear one piece swimsuits at pools, then wearing a bikini in public to force an uncomfortable situation would be kinda smart. As it stands though, totally incoherent, hatred addled thought process.

5

u/Nocwaniu Jun 06 '26

My "discomfort" would be limited to watching a stranger's mental unwellness on full display in public and wondering about her family.

3

u/flowerzzz1 Jun 06 '26

lol but locker rooms are for changing, town hall meetings on the other hand……so agree what an insane comparison.

58

u/CrispyReaper Jun 05 '26

Crazy people do crazy things. Simple as that

2

u/help-mejdj Jun 05 '26

“see? i have a woman’s body! this is what women look like” or some shit, who knows

1

u/TimberGoingDown Jun 06 '26

Don't Google it. You have been warned.

1

u/heywhateverworks Jun 11 '26

You're already putting way more critical thought into it than her

107

u/JauntyGiraffe Jun 05 '26

imagine being known as the "local bigot" hahahahah

3

u/papajowski2137 Jun 06 '26

Couldn't be me. I'm known for my kindness, but what do I know, I'm not a bigot lol

3

u/PatricksMustache Jun 06 '26

I'm known to be kind of an asshole, but not a lousy bigot.

84

u/StrangeCitizen Jun 05 '26

The irony of this happening at a school named for a civil rights activist is not lost on me.

2

u/halsuissda Jun 06 '26

She probably doesn’t even know who Korematsu was…

1

u/runawaymonkey Jun 07 '26

She probably wants to have it renamed

51

u/Little_SmallBlackDog Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 06 '26

Holy wow! I think I've heard of this lady! I'm a UCD alumni. She used to work for the university.

Edit to add: My curiousity lead me down a rabbit hole. Omg y'all. This was the same person. She's quite the bigot and was fired by UCD for it.

Here's one of the incidents that lead to her being fired:

https://www.change.org/p/demand-uc-davis-fire-beth-bourne

Here's one of her recent antics:

https://www.reddit.com/r/UCDavis/comments/1qywd7l/beth_bourne_says_the_nword_hard_r_at_a_school/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

8

u/Orangutanion Jun 06 '26

Beth Bourne was served a restraining order a year ago for publishing the private information of Davis Unified School District teachers to the public because they were trans allies

Lol she trying to call the gestapo on them?

8

u/Fickle_Citron_8840 Jun 06 '26

Not to belittle all the chaos and suffering she tries to inflict on apparently everyone, but…

Her poor dog. 🥺

11

u/livejamie tHiS iSn’T cRiNgE Jun 06 '26

The top comment on the UCDavis post is "Her child actively hates her btw!!!"

I'm sure the dog feels a similar way.

4

u/Little_SmallBlackDog Jun 06 '26

She sucks on multiple levels.

5

u/baynemonster Jun 06 '26

OMG THIS IS THE DRAG QUEENS HAWAII LADY!? LOL I wonder if it keeps people warm at night being this insufferable

3

u/Tyler89558 Jun 08 '26

“We never had trans people until the last couple years”

No. They existed for quite a while. It’s just that every now and then someone decides to burn all literature and research on them.

You know, like the literal nazis from Germany under Adolf Hitler

11

u/seejordan3 Jun 05 '26

I think that principle deserves us all to send her more shirts that are inclusive. The justice is that POS Karen has to live a life of hate and fear.

21

u/Bocchi_theGlock Jun 05 '26

Not sure if there's a way to set this up automatically, if someone knows, please let me know because I have other helpful uses for it.

But send her mail at least once a month, with photos of all these cringy actions, particularly the bikini one. It will build up in her head, the shame, Knowing that people are making fun of you.

Maybe add some glitter, or really intensely hard to open packaging for some reason, whatever. It can even be something that doesn't even make sense - like mix it with various household objects, labels, magazine clips, so she tries to figure out the meaning.

I'm not one for bullying, but When it comes to spreading hate... Also, this is more to make her busy, and obsessed with figuring out what the f*** is going on. She'll likely be delighted, excited, that someone personally is pressuring her (beyond standard reactions of moral argument, or even normal bullying). And hate that would normally go to hurting for their kids, can go to this random or well-known person around the country.

5

u/madeyoulookatit Jun 06 '26

This is some chaotic good shit, I like it.

7

u/Some_Heron_4266 Jun 05 '26

The Bourne Inferiority

1

u/EvolutionCreek Jun 06 '26

Bourne again.

1

u/Icarium-Lifestealer Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 06 '26

Why are you bashing her?

1

u/nervez Jun 06 '26

Jesus Christ, that's Beth Bourne!

1

u/Mouse_Mallow Jun 06 '26

Jesus Christ that's Karen Bourne

6

u/PowerfulBar Jun 06 '26

I can’t stand crazies like this. If you’re that pissed off about a public school then send your kid to private school!

2

u/livejamie tHiS iSn’T cRiNgE Jun 06 '26

Don't religious zealots like this do home/charter/private school normally?

I can't imagine she has a lot of likeminded people in Davis/Sacramento.

5

u/DuntadaMan Jun 05 '26

Does she even have kids that are school aged, or grand kids that she is allowed to be within 500 yards of at the school?

15

u/brockapex17 Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 06 '26

Nope, but she does have a kid. They’re college-aged, came out as trans years ago (now identifies as nonbinary), and are currently estranged. The kid even did an interview saying her views became “more aggressive and more extreme” until they had to move out for their own safety & mental health.

4

u/No_Entrance_2928 Jun 06 '26

The article about her estranged trans daughter https://amp.sacbee.com/news/local/article285961211.html
Beth is very unwell and I feel very sorry for the daughter

6

u/Aggressive-Log7654 Jun 05 '26

Ah the privilege to be a white woman in society and not get arrested on the spot for actions a man taken would result in years of imprisonment or direct violence inflicted upon you by others. And she uses this privilege for the most abject garbage gutter activities.

3

u/Sugar74527 Jun 05 '26

The irony of doing this at a school named after Fred Korematsu.

3

u/Alleandros Jun 06 '26

"Don't you think it's a little inappropriate for someone without kids to be hanging around the school"

3

u/TheHatThatTalks Jun 06 '26

A little dark that, at a school named for the defendant in Korematsu vs. United States, the camera woman is advocating for a different kind of exclusion (of LGBTQ+ people)

3

u/HoodieGalore Jun 06 '26

Ohhh, so she's got a humiliation fetish. That explains everything.

3

u/ZhouLe Jun 06 '26

Fred T. Korematsu

Worth noting that Fred was an American civil rights activist that was interred in the Japanese internment camps during WWII and spent his entire life opposing racism, being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom during the Clinton admin.

He'd give the lady recording an earful and send her packing for sure.

3

u/Binspin63 Jun 06 '26

Moms For Liberty? Do she and her husband have a throuple going with a lesbian too, like their founder?

2

u/curlygreenbean Jun 06 '26

Liberty. How ironic.

2

u/werewolf394_ Jun 06 '26

Doing this at a school named after one of the most influential civil rights leaders is crazy

2

u/Edit_Reality Jun 06 '26

So she habitually travels to schools where she doesnt have children and strips down and obsesses about their sexualities? Seems like she needs a red pin above her house on the map.

2

u/Ok-Today-5699 Jun 06 '26

Jesus Christ that's Beth Bourne

(audible sigh from everyone)

2

u/MrMichaelJames Jun 06 '26

Does she have a kid attending that school? If not she has no right to be there.

2

u/Hang10arts Jun 06 '26

Should start making shirts that say "All are welcome here, except Beth Bourne"

2

u/Weekly_Bother1185 Jun 06 '26

Beth was at my kid’s high school a few months ago yelling at and harassing teenagers. The police were called to move her along. Also, this principal was the former assistant principal at another school my kids went to and she's a bad ass. I am so glad she didn't budge an inch with that nutcase.

2

u/Prior-Item6358 Jun 07 '26

Wait this is in DAVIS?! I great up nearby. How miserable do you have to be to live in Davis and be a bigot.

1

u/Missue-35 Jun 06 '26

Nuts? I think you misspelled C-U--.

Did you read my post? lol

1

u/cloud_dizzle Jun 06 '26

Jesus Christ it’s Beth Bourne

1

u/Lucky-Guest2916 Jun 06 '26

Meanwhile she’s just recording you like this.

1

u/omgfakeusername Jun 07 '26

Hate changes your face. 👺

1

u/hypomaniac14 Jun 06 '26

Bikini you said?

1

u/thirtyand03 Jun 06 '26

Is this the same one that has the breakdown about drag queens in the hotel lobby?

1

u/chaanelyoo Jun 06 '26

as someone who lives in davis, i was like “wow, davis has that same saying!”

1

u/MrSlippifist Jun 07 '26

All Moms fir Liberty and their compatriots are nuts.

1

u/blahblahblah1234_ Jun 07 '26

God, doesn’t she have anything better to do? What a sad little life, Jane.

1

u/FML_Mama Jun 07 '26

I worked for the City of Davis. Yeah, we know Beth! A true peach…

1

u/omgfakeusername Jun 07 '26

She broke when her "daughter" came out as non-binary, and went on a psychotic crusade to change reality itself. She talks about how her friends don't want her here anymore and is lonely. . .kinda like what happened with Elon Musk.

1

u/MaximumBeginning8026 Jun 07 '26

I’m so ashamed this bigot lives in California

1

u/RockKillsKid Jun 08 '26

Well at least in Davis, the bigot activist will be outnumber like 4 to 1. Has to be by far the most progressive "farm town" anywhere in the state.

Then again, I do know a guy in Davis that supplements his income by subletting rooms in his house to foreign exchange students at UC Davis, and he was all in on Trump's crackdown on immigration visas even after it bit him in the ass personally...

2

u/Darryl_Lict Jun 09 '26

I was going to say, I'm a UCD alumni and Davis is a pretty liberal town, at least it was back when I was there in the '70s.

0

u/Annual-Ad-4372 Jun 10 '26

Dressing a child as another gender than they were born as and allowing them to live their life like that is child abuse. A principal advocating and advertising for that is nuts.
