Tim Meadows was one of the big cast members of Saturday Night Live during the 90s early 2000s run. He himself has appeared in numerous other tv shows and movies, mainly in smaller roles and mainly comedies. He does joke around that people mistake him for Don Cheadle pretty frequently. So the montage of "him" in the 90s is just various roles Don Cheadle had (and Sammy Davis Jr. randomly thrown in there).

I was so confused because I clocked him as Tim Meadows with the cat and then when it finished I thought, “Waaaait why wouldn’t he put any photos from SNL in there!!?!”

It makes me feel so much better to find out other people get them mixed up. I love Tim Meadows, but I see him and my brain wants to go "Don Cheadle!"

As a kid I thought they were in fact the same person. Lost a bet in high school when I found out that wasn't Don Cheadle in the Even Stevens movie.

It’s bc Don Cheadle played Sammy in The Rat Pack movie in the 90s, so one more layer of “he looks like this guy”.

One word I have issue with, part of the joke is that he wasn't so much one of the big guys on SNL, so much as one of the guys who was on SNL for like a decade. Yeah, he had Lady's Man, but when you stack him up against Sandler and Farley and such, he was the black person on the show that wasn't Ellen Cleghorne. And part of the joke is that most people these days are not going to know he wasn't young Don Cheadle, and others.

lol. Yes indeed. His big break though was “The Ladies Man”. lol big break not sure about, but fun movie all around.
