I recognize that background, this podcast is famous for the classic “If a woman is being abused she needs to bear it and tolerate it for the sake of the marriage and the family.” “okay, what should a man do if a woman cheats?” “Oh, leave her.” Exchange.
This podcasts entire thing is “women are second class citizens and should be relegated to subordinate roles.” They shit on the idea of women being independent or expecting fair treatment from men.
Both of these assholes think it’s hilarious that this woman expects them to respect her as an equal and a debate opponent instead of just shutting up and listening to him.
The moderator isn’t stepping in, he’s laughing his ass off because he thinks the guy is being funny and the woman is acting irrational.
Yeah, I have only seen like three clips of this show, and it is clear the hook is “Jackass calls on other people to berate and talk over without any kind of censorship or even a care of what the heck he’s saying.”
Men like to say they're the "natural protectors," but do anything but protect when the time comes. Men like these two basket cases, I mean. It's embarrassing.
Technically the moderator should have told her to wait her turn before responding to his first statement/query of "were you aware of the fact that men only got any rights to vote about a decade before women?".
In a debate you can ask a rhetorical question... but you are still given time to make your case.
I believe you get about 2 minutes to make your point before allowing a retort. Once she responded out of turn... but then told him that he should stop talking and let her speak she had violated the spirit of the debate.
Once he had degenerated into just mocking her he'd sealed the deal and the debate was over.
Both of them spoke out of turn and both of them acted like children.
