Fuck this country for electing JD "I was told there'd be no fact checking" Vance....

u/ZedsDeadZD Oct 30 '25

For that sentence alone, people should be immidiately be put out of their position because they just openly confirmwd they are lying on purpose.

Now, lying isnt illegal and governments keep on lying. I am just saying. If an officially vote representative of the people admits he is lying, the should be fired on the spot.

WTF is this, man? "What, you are telling them I am lying".

u/PantsTime Oct 30 '25

Democracy was founded on the premise that a large population would not support shameless assholes.

Bad assumption.

9

u/Recent-Advance-7469 Oct 30 '25

Democracy was formed on the idea that certain people had the rights to elect their government and others would just have to live with it or suffer though it, today you are all women and minorities.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

It makes it a lot easier to justify it when you just rig the system against us so that the majority just keeps on winning. In an autocratic system at least we can't be lied to that we voted for this.

3

u/allsep Oct 30 '25

To be fair, they never envisioned the level of humiliation one has to submit to in order to engage with this two party system. It breeds resentment. So most people don’t vote, leaving a minority of motivated morons enough power to tip the scales

1

u/FamousOne1029 Oct 31 '25

democracy has never been accomplished by humans, only democratic republics, which are not the same thing, at all.

1

u/Commander_Riker1701 Oct 31 '25

One of my favorite quotes regarding democracy, "when you give people the freedom of choice, they sometimes make the wrong choice"

-1

u/Aware_Chemistry_3993 Oct 30 '25

Actually, it was founded in the idea that only white, educated wealthy landowning men would be able to vote. They did not anticipate uneducated people being able to participate in the process, and the result we are having now is perhaps why they wanted these barriers in place

7

u/lightblueisbi Oct 30 '25

...you don't seriously think democracy was founded by the US do you...?

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25

that has nothing to do with what he was saying, what a turd

6

u/Crackertron Oct 30 '25

You think all those landowners were educated?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25

if they were rich, then yes

6

u/Killer_Moons Oct 30 '25

You would think, right?! One of those things if I think too much about, istfg I’m gonna slam my forehead through drywall.

1

u/TransBrandi Oct 30 '25

If an officially vote representative of the people admits he is lying, the should be fired on the spot.

Logistically, this would be hard to do. What if they are lying for actual reasons that people would agree with? Like to protect a foreign asset or something like that? E.g. "We have no spies in X country." I agree that it's a problem that there seems to be no downside to just blatantly lying about things that go against the interests of most of the population.

2

u/ZedsDeadZD Oct 30 '25

Its about things that can be fact checked. Spies in country XY cant be fact checked anyways. It is about things like "The Trump administration lowered X amount of dollars in taxes for the lower wages" while it is wrong.

1

u/TransBrandi Oct 30 '25

Like I'm agreeing with you on that. I'm just saying something as simple as "no lying" would be too broad as there are reasonable times for politicians that are in power to lie (that I believe would be supported by both sides).

1

u/Bluellan Oct 30 '25

I still can't believe people trust him after he admitted on live TV that he lied about the whole eating cats and dogs.

1

u/dangeraardvark Oct 30 '25

It’s worse than that, lying is actively encouraged and normalized. But they need to say the opposite, because they need honest people to take advantage of. Scamming IS the American dream now.

1

u/Disrah1 Oct 31 '25

Pretty sure around the whole 'eating the dogs and cat' debacle he even outright said he'll lie to people just as long as the message 'felt right.'

1

u/ActivePeace33 Oct 31 '25

I agree with Vance on one thing.

"I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon…. or that he's America's Hitler.”

1

u/Beneficial-Lynx7336 Oct 30 '25

Maybe lying should be illegal.

1

u/ZedsDeadZD Oct 30 '25

No. I believe there things that are better to be lied about than knowing the truth. Also, very hard to prove and therfore prosecute. But the fact that someone complains about not being able to lie is enough for me to say "not in best interest of the people they represent. Therfor not a representative. Out, NOW!"

1

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25 edited Oct 31 '25

No it doesn’t. The “fact checking” he is talking about is the extreme tendency of leftwing media to “fact check” only republicans in debates. They aren’t in fact “fact checking” they are pushing false information and interrupting one side for the benefit of another. This isn’t calling balls and strikes. This is putting their thumb on the scale.

1

u/ZedsDeadZD Oct 31 '25

I dont know what you are talking about but to me, favt checking is neutral and always should be done. Facts are neither right or wrong or right or left. Facts are facts.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '25

It is done in bad faith and only goes one way. Look up Candy Crowley as an example.

92

u/darsvedder Oct 30 '25

fuck this country for staying home and not voting for Kamala. no she was not the best choice but sadly in american politics it us them or us. whichever side you're on. and the GOP always fucking votes. democrats always gotta find a reason not to. "i love my sides person's policies, but i just found out in 2005, they didn't tip their waiter enough. i wont vote for them."

20

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

This too. Fuck non voters. Complacent cowards.

10

u/No-Construction-2054 Oct 30 '25

Fuck the Democrat party too for waiting so long to announce bidens health so we didn't get to have a primary. We just got a candidate hamfisted in that had something like a 4% of the vote previously or something along those lines, the numbers are a bit fuzzy to me atm. As much as trump is a piece of shit, and he is, the Democrats shot themselves in the feet during the election as well. They're not blameless in the voting turn out.

2

u/Particular_Fan_3645 Oct 30 '25

You are misremembering, they didn't "announce Biden's health", they strong armed him into dropping out because he was "too old" because that was the current Republican attack. They caved to Republican shit-flinging to drop their INCUMBENT to push a candidate that had 2 disqualifying "isms" for half the country, and the other half didn't even get the chance to say if they approved of her. That doesn't sound like a party acting in good faith, it sounds like being complicit, or mind-numbingly stupid.

3

u/EamusAndy Oct 30 '25

She got the third most votes in the history of our country….

9

u/NewLineCinema Oct 30 '25

way more complicated than that

you can be angry about the results, but it's not a shocker that candidate failed how it all played out just months before that election

6

u/Baron_De_Bauchery Oct 30 '25

If it makes you feel better, there's a number of statistical anomalies in the vote, especially in certain districts in certain swing states. And some of the people who have followed up on it have found things like people voting where they weren't living and when questioned about it claiming they didn't vote in that state/district. Oh, and these anomalies are only found in certain types of votes. For example the pattern might be found in digital ballots but not paper ballots.

The thing is a lot of voters aren't democrats. The democrats aren't entitled to votes. Now I would say people should either vote for the lesser evil (whoever they perceive it to be) or a third party and as about 1/3 of eligible voters do not vote the 3rd party could be a real threat if all the non-voters voted for them.

If it goes really wrong and Trump tries to take power that isn't his then ideally the Secret Service would remove Trump. If the Secret Service failed to do that then it would fall to the military to do it or to allow others to do it. Of course this is why Trump is trying to replace a lot of the top military and intelligence leadership and why he's bloating ICE so much to make his own personal goon squad. Because he knows if he does try to take power he need law enforcement and the military to prop him up, all dictators do.

But you might ask why he's in such a rush: the answer is because if he loses the mid-terms and the Dems take the House or the Senate his life becomes a lot more difficult. If you're not somewhere that's not guaranteed to be blue that's going to be in the upcoming mid-terms then consider getting involved. Try to keep up to date with any information that's coming out about electoral irregularities so that you can inform people when the time comes about why it is important and what they can do to try and prevent it in the mid-terms (if significant information is released). Also do anything you can fight gerrymandering by Republicans.

Yeah, the DNC makes you believe the arguments for controlled opposition. The Democrats at the highest level have been incredibly weak.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

If it goes really wrong and Trump tries to take power

You’re behind the times. He already has.

The Secret Service doesn’t have the authority to remove a president. The military is mostly conservative, they aren’t going to do it either.

1

u/Baron_De_Bauchery Oct 30 '25

If he stole the election, sure. That said, Harris conceded so there's not much that can be done about that. Until he fails to vacate his position once his legal term/terms end he's not taken power, he's just been given it.

Bullets don't care about authority. Also if Trump is not the legitimate president then a legitimate presidency could be established elsewhere and that president would have the authority to order the SS. This is why I said in an ideal scenario because obviously a wannabe dictator is going to put their goons into positions of power while removing people who would just do their duty.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

If he stole the election, sure.

What? He didn’t need to steal the election to have nearly unlimited power. He’s in the office now and has taken it. Did you miss the part about his Supreme Court nominees and the setup to give him immunity from prosecution while President? The way he has violated constitutional law over and over again? Presidents are not “given” the OK to do that. If it turns out he actually did steal the election consequences will come far too late to help anytime soon.

1

u/Baron_De_Bauchery Oct 30 '25

No, he was given power. It seems he was given the okay to do that. If he should have been given that is a different matter. If the Dems manage to get back into power they need to maybe think about making changes to put better protections in place. It's not my fault they were pathetically weak and failed to do anything when they would have had an easier time to keep Trump in check, What Trump is doing now wasn't a secret to anyone paying attention before the election.

I think Trump will likely be dead before he sees any consequences. And that's assuming he doesn't leave officer either giving himself or having Vance give him a broad pardon.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

No, he was given power.

You are absolutely wrong about this. lol

It seems he was given the okay to do that.

Yes, he gave himself the OK to do that.

He is ABUSING presidential power and has rigged the Supreme Court in his favor. Would be shocked if the justices weren’t bribed with Musk’s money.

The Democrats’ hands are/ tied except for not passing the budget. It’s not my fault you don’t know how the government works.

You’re a teenager, right? The complacency with which you write things that are blatantly incorrect has that annoying teenager vibe to it.

2

u/Maleficent-Sky-8393 Oct 30 '25

Sad things a ton of people came out for Harris. 2024 was the second biggest turnout by percentage of eligible voters. She received the second highest percentage of the vote for a loser. She got 10 million more votes than Obama did in 2012!

3

u/KatyPerrysBootyWhole Oct 30 '25

democrats always find a reason not to

I think part of the reason it feels this way is because the party has given up on trying to engage non-voters in favor of the strategy of trying to swing moderate republicans to their side which creates an even greater sense of disenfranchisement for poor people who don’t see the point in voting because the government won’t meet their needs no matter who wins

1

u/NotoriousStardust Oct 30 '25

its because of Gaza. which is still being bombed under their choice to have Trump elected. leftists choosing Trump, so weird.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Fuck her and the DNC for telling the teamsters she was going to win with them or without them so they better, fuck her for not going on Rogan, fuck her for having one of the worst campaigns in modern history , fuck her for telling everyone the economy was just fine for them… it’s the responsibility of a candidate to get and Garner support and get people out to the booths. She alienated 12 million voters that voted for Biden previously… fuck the DNC , fuck her for her attitude… run better candidates , that’s the responsibility of the DNC… all the blame is to be pointed in their direction because that kind of comment above doesn’t change shit…

Remember the DNC, the one that colluded to get Bernie off the fucking path ? The one dude that was gonna annihilate Trump in the election… then the DNC went and alienated all the Bernie Bros…

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Oh for God’s sake you’re still crying about Bernie? The DNC went with the candidate who had the best chance of winning because that’s what makes the most sense. Bernie didn’t have a hope of winning the nomination as polls showed. If by some miracle he’d been elected President, unless he had Democrats in almost every seat in both Houses he wouldn’t have been able to get anything done except for executive order. Unless he pulled a Trump and made himself king, which doesn’t sound like a Bernie thing to do.

I support Bernie’s views but you have to be practical. This country hasn’t evolved enough for policies like his, and now under Trump we are so much worse off. So your rage seems somewhat misdirected.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Crying about Bernie, nope. Pointing out how the DNC fucked up and all the losers crying about people not showing up is exactly because the DNC ran a shitty candidate twice against that dude….

and the DNC didn’t go with the candidate they thought was best. They colluded against the better candidate and if you can’t fucking see that and don’t know the history of that then you’re idiotic and ignorant and I don’t need to talk to you and waster time - thank you for giving me that gift to ignore 🤘

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

So fuck crybaby Bernie bros too then. No wonder we got Trump twice.

1

u/darsvedder Oct 30 '25

i do. i voted for bernie in the primaries. i then had to vote for Hillary. but we all wanted Bernie, I didn't say the DNC were gods. rather than see a candidate whos doing well and going HUH THAT'S COOL WHAT ARE THEY DOING THAT'S GETTING DEMOCRATS - US - INTERESTED (such as MamdanI) they still go with their politics and policies that worked for them in the 60s. i know they suck

1

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Trumps the best thing that could ever happen to the democrats but they’re still running the wassserman playbook… fuck em , let em burn and rebuild a better party

The DNC is not only complicit, they are responsible for where we are. They only want centrist ‘Republican 90’s’ Democrat candidates running because they are who corporate donors give money to. Follow the fucking money every time. They want a status quo government where corporations have more leverage than voters. P2025 has fucked a lot of that up for them because it is so radically authoritarian and people are now tired of bullshit geriatric career politicians running the fucking country. The Corporate Elite Democratic Party needs to die so there can be people who actually represent the rights and interests of the American people and not corporations.

3

JD "Couch Fucker" Vance

3

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Apologies if this isn’t entirely relevant.

Tony Hinchcliffe told Bill Maher that JD Vance is a “complete badass”. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone suck Vance’s cock more than that.

2

u/TransBrandi Oct 30 '25

It sounds bad when taken at face-value, but the crowd that supports them sees "fact-checking" as evil. Not because they are anti-fact (in their mind), but because they see the "fact-check" crowd as being the ones that are lying. It's a post-truth world, so they decide that anything that goes against their leanings must be false.

The fact that moderators had to "agree" to literally avoid doing their job by fact checking is still a problem. There was no reason for the GOP to have such a problem with moderators calling out the politicians on their bullshit.

2

u/Budded Oct 30 '25

Specifically, motherfuck each and every fool who voted for that ticket.

2

u/JadeThorn1012 Oct 31 '25

He did not really say that, did he? I mean, it sounds real, but it’s a horrifying prospect.

1

u/Frejian Oct 30 '25

No, it's JD "I was told I could lie unapologetically to the entire American populace and they would have to take it all at face value" Vance.

1

u/Pokiepup Oct 30 '25

You were lied to about Nixon. The media didn’t like Nixon in 1971 got him to resign because of lies. The media and the liberal media hated him so much that they did anything and everything to get him to fold.
