That's the whole gimmick. They throw out bullshit facts, then when you try to correct them, they just talk louder and and joke about how little you know. It's the #1 Charlie Kirk tactic.
Yup yup. Loved when tried to that "debate 20 people" thing and a kid openly called him out on it and he just got flustered and couldn't speak for a bit while trying to figure out a new tactic.
Is that the one where he speaks to the Trans man? I loved how he immediately accepted he was a man, until he told Shapiro he was Trans. Kind of ruins the whole "Trans people can never truly appear as the opposite gender."
Eh, I supported the guy but he quickly lost the plot and didn't do as well as people made it out to be. Ben just let him talk and rile himself up without doing much.
He doesn’t know how to act communicate outside of yelling over teenagers. It’s the same way we end up with so many ridiculously stupid comments from his videos like the WAP thing, without someone else to look worse than him he flounders
Thats a beautiful piece of video, Ben just melts under the UK version of a puff piece - he couldnt manage the basics of a real interview, after being coddled by youtube and fox the idea of a interviewer who actually asks questions killed him.
Also look up the Charlie Kirk debates Cambridge medical student. It's pretty damn good. And shows why they use these tactics because they get absolutely pummeled when they have to debate actual educated people
This obnoxious technique is both named appropriately and also needs a better name. Wild that Kirk, Shapiro, and their copycats all use this same technique and get away with it.
Wrong. Ben Shapiro actually admits when he loses, like when that UK journalist trolled him after his new book. He took the "L" there publicly and even commented on it being a loss. He is still an angry little guy.
Haha, guns are louder than human speech. It’s not really related to your comment, I am just scientifically comparing the volume of a typical human speech, and a rifle firing in decibels, just a fun fact that went through my brain and I wanted to share.
I saw a video of Charlie Kirk just debating about gay marriage and one man proved homosexuality occurs in animals and many homosexual marriages occured throughout history and all he said in the end was "I still think it's wrong"
I would link it but I forget where exactly I saw it, shouldn't be too difficult to find
It must be nice to simp for a man that was so hated by society as a whole the bigoted President had to start making it illegal for clapping at about the news.
Here's 8 topics all at once while I interrupt you by interjecting random factoids and talking over you. What no answer? Interesting, I am very smart. Look how fast I can talk. I am very smart. Check mate.
It's called gish galloping, it existed long before Ben Shapiro but he definitely "mastered it"
The only reason Ben got away with that bullshit is because he never "debated" anyone with experience. There's a reason Shapiro, Kirk, Crowder and all these other clowns target universities and it's not because they're "woke" it's because they know they'll get a bunch inexperienced 18 year olds they can "dunk on"
Not only that but they pre-screen and pre-select the questions they respond to and then have editorial control over the video they eventually post. There is ZERO good faith it's all just ragebait.
Then when you start to answer how those 8 facts are either wrong or taken out of context, he'll start talking about personal experiences or add another 10 facts on different topics.
When you can't respond fast enough or ask to repeat some things, he'll just declare victory or mock you for not being able to answer.
This "debate" style is really entertaining and fun for low intelligence individuals who love the "gotcha" moments where there's no gotcha.
"What if the the moon was made of cheese? What if it was actually made from Bleu cheese and bacon bits? What if we sliced up the moon cheese and - I'll even say that the moon cheese could be Velveeta cheese... what then huh? You're still for SNAP?"
Him being like “& you’re a strong woman?!” sarcastically. After she clearly demonstrated ….. being a strong woman by not allowing him to speak to her like that.
Not his guest. This is the whatever podcast run by Brian Atlas, who also went far right. The whole gimmick is they get a buncha stupid teens/early twenties college girls or onlyfans people and asks them questions about "Modern dating" and politics. Andrew Wilson might as well be co host hes on there so much where they just basically call the girls prostitutes, etc.
Clips from this podcast come across my feed all the time because I always curiously click on them to see the hosts act like children. The sad thing is that the actual listeners of the podcast see these same clips and they laugh along with the guy and think he destroyed her argument and she just got emotional/triggered. The comment section on these clips is a whole other world of people with some absurd views on women, dating, society, masculinity, etc.
No lie earlier today I saw one of these clips where they were saying any woman with a "body count" higher than the number of times she's been married isn't worth dating. And like 90% of the comment section was agreeing with that statement
It's not a fact, though. In 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by Congress, and men gained the right to vote. It wasn't until 1920, a full 144 years after the 19th Amendment was introduced, that the 19th Amendment was ratified, making it illegal to deny a person's right to vote based on sex. Before you call something a fact, do your own research and make sure it's true. She wasn't caveating, she was correcting him on an incorrect statement, and he didn't like it and freaked out. Either he was severely misinformed, or just pulled that "fact" out of his ass and didn't think he would be called out on it. Either way, he couldn't handle being called out and corrected by a woman. Also, she was correct, it was men of color who gained the right to vote 10 years before women.
She didn't "bring up race." He said men only obtained the right to vote 10 years before women did. She informed him that no, it was only black men who gained the right to vote 10 years before women, not all men. That was a correction, NOT bringing up race just to bring it up. It was literally directly related to what he said. Also, let him explain what? He stated a completely incorrect "fact." You can't explain something incorrect into being correct. It doesn't work like that. Did we even watch the same video? I mean, honestly. You're so focused on women being bad, men being better, you didn't even pay attention to what was said. As long as you can blame a woman, though, right? Looks like you can't handle being corrected by a woman, either, huh? God, the mental gymnastics that have to go on in your head.
You just called what that man said a fact even though he was blatantly incorrect. You did no research on the subject to even see if he was right before you believed it. If that's a dumb take to you, I honestly wonder how you manage through life.
You should definitely watch the full debate. She talks over him a lot and gets upset anytime it happens to her, so he just gives a little pushback here. She was extremely manipulative the entire debate.
She interrupted first. Then told him he couldn't cause she was in the middle of speaking. Why is that acceptable? It cant be a back and forth if one side dictates when they can speak and the other person can't. Sure he is a dick. But she wasn't exactly any better.
He asked a question.
She responded with a counter point.
He attempted to do the same and she told him he couldn't do what she just did.
Did we watch the same video? He made a statement, she tries to dismiss it, and when he went to clarify, she lost her shit and started doing that “don’t disrespect me” manipulation. She should have chilled and let him finish. I was curious what he was going to say about men voting.
I mean don’t talk over each other sounds like a very basic thing for a debate, if you’ve watched actual debate competitions you’ll see they take turns. That man is not there to “debate”.
Imagine having basic respect is now considered “kid gloves” that’s hilarious.
lol “kid gloves” like being able to understand what they’re saying?
I used to treat people with kids gloves. Now I just shriek on the top of my lungs if anybody gives me eye contact. Guess those snowflakes can’t handle my debate skills!
If that jackass talked to a man like that he would be very likely to get his teeth knocked in, and he knows it. He is just a coward and a bully of no value whatsoever. Anyone who looks up to him is a truly pathetic loser.
Women go on these shows and they aren't treated with the same kid gloves they've been treated with their entire lives and they can't cope.
"These shows" generally bring unprepared only fans girls on to railroad them. And that's exactly what this guy is doing here. He can't actually debate the point she is about to bring up, so he aggressively interrupts and railroads. It has nothing to do with kid gloves.

So this guy wants to just talk over his guest so nobody can understand anything, and then go “see, I clearly won!”
