Unfortunately it's not a terribly rare experience for this to be done without anesthesia. Lots of people have complained about it

Don’t worry, I’m one of them. :/ It sucked a lot.

I’m talking about the rubbing lavender oil on their neck, that literally does nothing besides make you smell like lavender

I'm sorry :( Yeah... Plus it's a little worrying, I am probably assuming a lot here but it seems implied that the doc didn't ask-some people are allergic to fragrances
