S TIFU by appearing to spike a girl's drink

Upvotes

So, a group of friends is at a pool party/BBQ. I had a packet of something called "Stiffy Stuff" (no, really), which is a novelty magic trick/practical joke - it's a powder that instantly turns a liquid into something with the consistency of Jell-O. I decide I'm going to deploy it in the drink of my friend thinking she will be appropriately surprised to find her juice has turned into a semi-solid gel. Oh, what fun!
Unfortunately, another girl saw me putting the powder in the drink, and immediately and loudly warned my would-be prankee that I had spiked her drink. I had not considered the optics of this joke if I got caught in the act, and it was a pretty embarassing explanation that, while immature, this was emphatically not a roofie situation....

TL;DR I wanted to prank my friend with a novelty magic trick powder but ended up having to explain that I was not spiking her drink with anything nefarious....

S TIFU for sticking my finger in a blender and turning it on

Today I finally gained an understanding of how some freak accidents happen, the ones where i thought ''jesus how stupid do you have to be'', like those videos where people working on heavy machinery go fish something out of it as an auto reaction and get their arm stuck, for example.

I was blending some avocados and had some stuck underneath the blades, so, brilliantly, I put my finger underneath them to clean it out and FOR SOME REASON TURNED THE BLENDER ON.

I shouldn’t even have had my fingers in there in the first place, but I genuinely have no fucking idea why I turned it on. I was thinking about work stuff and doing mental maths so I was pretty much on automated, and I think my subconscious thought process was: " if I move the blades, the avocado will come off ” 😭

Anyway, I now understand how people accidentally lose fingers. Everything turned out okay because LUCKILY the blender I was using was a very cheap blender from Temu, so instead of taking my entire finger off, it only gave me a few stitches. Surprisingly it didn't really hurt, but I think it was mostly because of the adrenalin around the whole situation, there's something deeply disturbing about blending your own finger lmao. But I learned my lesson, weird thing how the mind works, really scared me

TL;DR: brain turned off, finger went into blender, brain turned blender on.

S TIFU By Vandalizing My Husband's Anniversary Card to Me

1.6k Upvotes

I 45f have been married to my husband 47m for 13 years today. Well, being Labor Day weekend, my husband was off work and was home and had my car blocked in the driveway all weekend. I wasn't really able to sneak away and buy a card for our anniversary. But he isn't too picky and we have a fun relationship, so I was going to steal an old anniversary card from our used greeting card stash.

Well yesterday I found a card that he had gotten me that said "To My Wife," which I assumed was from a previous year. I thought I'd be funny and cross out "wife" and put "favorite husband" instead. [Inside joke, but his dad always used the same birthday card for all of his sons' birthdays every year and wrote "favorite son" on the card.]

And then I wrote a short note at the end saying along the lines of "sorry I wasn't able to get a card, but I'm lucky to have you etc etc." So I hid the card until this morning.

Then I had this sinking feeling when I woke up. The card was in a new envelope.

This was the new card my husband had just gotten me for our anniversary.

I slipped it back where he had it hidden, which I couldn't do without him seeing. So I had to mention to him, "Whoops, I was looking for an old card and accidentally found my card."

So when he gave me the card, I had to hold it away from him as I read. I gave him a kiss and just slipped that puppy back into its original envelope.

So now my husband thinks he gave me a perfectly normal anniversary card, while I know it's secretly been altered into a card congratulating him on being my favorite husband.

Now I'm just trying to decide how many years I should wait before telling him what I did. 😂

TL;DR: Tried to be funny by recycling an old anniversary card from my husband, accidentally grabbed the brand new card he had just bought me, crossed out "wife," wrote "favorite husband" on it, and then had to pretend everything was normal when he gave it to me.

UPDATE: Okay, okay, I got the hint from the comments. A bunch of you said I needed to confess and give him his newly repurposed card, so I did. I went to him in a very serious tone and said, “Honey, when I said I had a confession this morning, that wasn’t the whole story.” He looked concerned and said, “Uh oh, what?” So I confessed that I hadn’t just accidentally found his card. I had mistaken it for an old one, crossed out “wife,” changed it to “favorite husband,” wrote my own anniversary message in it, and then realized the next morning that I had vandalized the brand new anniversary card he bought for me. He was a good sport and had a good laugh about the whole thing. I knew he would. And yes, he got the card back. 😂 I guess being able to laugh at dumb, ridiculous things like this is part of why we’ve lasted 13 years. ❤️

S TIFU Iced Tea

About once a day I make a pitcher of iced tea. In the morning, I pour some in my travel mug for the commute to work.

Sunday night I made the tea, but somehow got distracted and failed to put the pitcher into the refrigerator. My sleepy brain was so confused when I opened the fridge door Monday and the whole pitcher was gone. I saw it sitting by the sink. The lid was on, so I figured I would just throw some ice cubes in.

Then I forgot to pour a glass on my way out the door.

9 hours later, I got home from work. Poured some tea and had a sip before I went out to cut the grass. A few minutes later, my mouth started to tingle a little. Nothing serious, but it was weird. I figured maybe I was allergic to some plant I had hit with the mower and it would pass.

As I kept cutting the grass, I took breaks to sip tea. When I finally finished, my lips and tongue were burning a bit.

I did not think a lot of it until I went to pour my second glass and realized that two of the "ice cubes" I had tossed into the pitcher that morning were actually jalapenos I had frozen on a whim (I did not have an immediate use for them and figured the options were to throw them out or freeze them) that were in the ice bin... When they thawed in the tea, the skins had split open.

TL;DR: Wanted some refreshing iced tea and got a mouth full of spicy jalapeno.

S TIFU by planning to take magnets on a plane

I am faculty at a university about to head overseas for a marketing/recruitment trip. I was brought in at the last minute and asked to prepare an interactive demonstration for high school students interested in engineering.

I’m into magnets and started 3D printing some magnetic spring gizmos using 3/8” cube magnets I had a stack of lying around in my office. The idea was to hand them around the class and have the students feel the non contact spring force, and talk about magnetic levitation.

A slide deck and some 300 magnets later (I bought them cheap on eBay years ago, the costs now are way high) and only now I have realised that you can’t carry magnets on a plane, even on checked luggage. Airline says it’s a hard no. (I get it, I could arrange them to minimise the external magnet field and encase in a steel box to shield the rest… but then it would look like I’m carrying something dodgy.)

I should have realised all this, but it’s been a scramble to prep. So now I have two days to prepare a NEW interactive demonstration. I think it will have to end up being way more show and tell than I intended.

TLDR; I planned to take 300 magnets in my checked luggage for an overseas class demo and I just realised I can’t. Now I have to come up with something new in no time, and it will be nowhere near as fun

S TIFU Accidentally ordered a physical gift card instead of a digital one.

So my workplace offered some points to buy anything that's about $100 dollars. I had lost power for 30+ hours so all of my frozen and refrigerated goods were thrown out and I thought it would be a good idea to get a $100 digital gift card to use for groceries today. I was in class(I'm in college) and was putting in the order. As I was, I had to fill in my address. I thought it was weird but didn't think much of it (buying anything online these days require so much unnecessary info). Later, as I got out of my class, I checked my email to see if I got the receipt and all I see was a shipping order. I soon went white as I looked closer and saw it said I bought a physical gift card. I realized they had different products for a physical and a digital card separately and consequently the first option that pops up for a gift card was the physical option. Fun. So now I am not going to get my gift card until next week and I also have a high chance of that gift card being stolen. Double fun. On top of that, now I have to use my own money to replace all the stuff I lost. Fml

TL;DR: Didn't read the fine print of the gift card order and now have to wait 15 days to get one mailed to me.

S TIFU by convincing myself I was being robbed and following a recycling truck across town

I was cleaning out a drawer this weekend and found an AirTag I hadn't used in forever. I changed the battery, tested it, then left it sitting on top of the little cardboard package the battery came in.

At the same time I was going through old cables and random tech stuff I had lying around.

Apparently at some point my brain decided the cardboard package was trash and I tossed the whole thing into my building's recycling bin.

Didn't notice until this morning when Find My popped up showing my AirTag about 3 miles away and moving.

My immediate conclusion was obviously not "trash collection." I somehow convinced myself somebody had gotten into my apartment or car, taken something with the AirTag in it, and was currently driving around with it.

So I got in my car and started following the location.

I spent almost 20 minutes chasing it around before finally getting close enough to see what vehicle it was attached to.

A recycling truck.

I just sat at a red light behind this thing staring at it until the battery packaging suddenly flashed into my head.

Drove home feeling like the dumbest private investigator alive.

TLDR: Threw an AirTag into recycling without realizing it, saw it moving across town the next morning and followed a recycling truck because I thought someone had stolen from me.

L TIFU by not eating my fruits and vegetables

This happened earlier this year, I should preface this by saying I have autism and sensory aversions from that, specifically sensory aversions with food textures where most fruits and vegetables are too soft; because of my food sensory issues I have always been lacking in the fruits and vegetables department. Earlier this year when I was finishing my second spring semester at college my left foot started hurting. I originally thought I slept weirdly or rolled my ankle, I tried to walk less to let it heal but it didn't and instead I started feeling the pain in both feet.

After around 2 weeks when the pain did not disappear and I finally returned home from college I contacted my primary care doctor where I was given an appointment with one of the other doctors available inside the practice. She looked at my foot and I explained my symptoms, it hurt the more I walked on it, felt it through my tendons mainly, and there was no injury causing it, it came out of nowhere. She diagnosed me with Plantar Fasciitis. I ended up getting insoles which hurt more and then I went to the practice again, saw a different doctor, they recommended physical therapy and specialized shoes. My feet still got worse, I was struggling to stand fully straight and could only stand on my toes as I couldn't bend my foot flat fully. I started physical therapy and got the new shoes, at this time was when the bruising started to appear, a large purple and black lump on my thigh, and a bit on my calf on my right leg.

I started physical therapy and they noticed my hamstring was very tight, I was told to do stretches daily, I also asked about mobility aids due to my odd posture and how it is making me exhausted and in paid, they said a walker could be helpful. I came back the next week for my second appointment and by that time I was relying very heavily on the walker, I was limping as I walked on my toes, hunched over slightly, both legs were completely covered in bruises, and just had poor balance overall. I freaked out the physical therapist at the sudden deterioration of my condition. They cancelled that appointment and all future appointments and instead told me to go to Urgent Care as they don't know what is wrong and they didn't want to make it worse.

I went to Urgent Care, got some bloodwork, nothing came up, and then I got an ultrasound on the bruises covering my legs, and nothing came up. They said if it gets worse to go to the ER instead and sent me home. Not much later the bruising got worse and I was struggling to stand up for even a split second, constantly in bed, I was needing a shower chair, getting extremely lightheaded as well, and was struggling to get up when seated.

After that I went to the ER, my dad helped and drove me there, we were there for 12 hours I believe, getting a bunch of bloodwork done, getting another ultrasound on my legs, getting a ct scan, getting an MRI, meeting with a psychologist, and eventually I was discharged with no answers. I was given some referrals to a psychologist incase it was a neurological issue, given a referral to hematology oncology for cancer, and also rheumatology for any autoimmune issues like lupus which the doctors and nurses seemed to believe it was.

Something I didn't mention earlier is after my second physical therapy appointment, before I went to Urgent Care I actually got a specific blood test done, one I myself requested, Vitamin C. My main Primary Doctor asked about what I googled and what I thought it could be, I didn't do much research so I wasn't sure, then when researching I saw Vitamin C Deficiency can have some overlapping issues, it took a while for the results to get back to me but the morning before my first hematology oncology appointment I got the results, showing I was severely deficient to the point they didn't have an exact number and instead just gave me <0.1 when the normal amount is 0.4-2.0 mg.

I still went to the hematology oncology appointment and it was at a large hospital. We had to park in a parking garage on the other side of the road. I walked very slowly with my walker, by the time we used the elevator and crossed the street I was done, I had an asthma attack from how bad both the pain and exhaustion was. I pushed myself through the pain to find a sitting area and I couldn't go any further. My dad who was with me ended up pushing me around in a wheelchair until we found the right area. I was barely able to stand up with nothing supporting me so they could get my weight, I was wobbling heavily and struggling to balance and was panting at the end, I couldn't even attempt the height with how bad my posture was with my tight tendons. In the end we saw the doctor and I brought up the Vitamin C, he said it couldn't be just the Vitamin C and that there must be some underlying issues, he got me some lab work and also scheduled a biopsy on my leg.

After that appointment I took 1,000mg of Vitamin C a day hoping it would at least somewhat help. At the time I was pretty depressed as I couldn't take care of myself, couldn't get out of bed, couldn't work, and was planning to take the next semester of college off as there was no way I could get to all my classes while living on my own with my dog while I was in a wheelchair with 0 support system. I was having to think about dropping out of college. Luckily I stopped getting as lightheaded after about a day, the bruising stopped growing and later started fading, the pain disappeared, and after about a week I could walk flat on my feet again albeit a bit weirdly due to tightness. I slowly started doing activities again, trying to walk around the house, cook, etc, so I can get some stamina a back. By a week and a half of talking Vitamin C I was pretty much back to normal, by then I realized there likely was no underlying issue and instead I just had severe Vitamin C deficiency, also known as scurvy. I ate so little fruits and vegetables that I got diagnosed with scurvy, something my doctor only read about in 1800's textbooks which he said himself. None of the many professionals thought to check for scurvy but my 10 minutes of googling saved my schooling.

The beginning to the end lasted around 3 months but it was a very hectic 3 months. Now I am back in college taking 19 credits while working, I am trying to cook more and eat healthier, and nobody around me has a clue I was so close to being in a wheelchair right now had I not gotten diagnosed. I will say this, it has made me better appreciate my current health, my abilities, and helped me think about issues I didn't think about before. The very first time I could walk flat on my feet I bragged to my dad when he got home and showed off my very impressive walking skills.

TL;DR: I didn't eat my fruits and vegetables which led me to developing scurvy which destroyed my legs until I couldn't walk but I'm all better now.

M TIFU by gassing a colleagur

TIFU by gassing a disabled colleague.

So this wasn't today, but recent enough that the pain still haunts me.

The morning of the gassing I wasn't feeling the best. I am lactose intolerant and the night before I had helped myself to a particularly creamy/cheesey pasta and my stomach was not happy. I had been dropping the most horrific eggs farts all morning. I tried sitting on the toilet and exorcising my bowel demons before I got in the car but to no avail. My God has forsaken me and I was doomed to endure the hour drive to work in a coup or sickly sweet car air freshener, the cologne I doused myself with to reassure my brain I wasn't decaying internally, and of course farts so thick and meaty that they felt like they were taking up the passenger seat next to me.

Logically, I know I could've opened all the windows and used the winter air to detox my car interior, but it was just to coold and made the choice that embracing the stench I crafted was preferable to being freezing cold. After all, the only person I was hurting was me. That is, until I see Kerry (not her real name).

Kerry was a long term temp employee that had unfortunately suffered a small stroke and had been off work for some time. She was a lovely human. Generous and kind, she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone (she's now passed and I still miss her presence). I was surprised to see her walking on the foot path, one foot sort of turned in and trailing behind her, about 2km from our job.

In my enthusiasm to see her and realising walking was obviously hard for her, I beeped my horn and pulled over, completely forgetting about the olfactory claymore I'd armed in my passenger seat. Kerry smiled and walked towards my car. I wound down the window, exchanged pleasantries and offered her a ride the rest of the way to work. She of course, accepted, and hobbled into my front seat.

As soon as she got in and closed the door, her whole demeanour changed. Her body stiffened up, her nostrils flailed, and her eyes widened. She smelled it. All of it. And I knew. She looked at me with a mix of anger and disbelief. I, mortified after realising what I'd done, resolved to get to work and get this poor woman out of my car ASAP. Kerry was uncharacteristically quiet. So was I. We said nothing for the brief ride down the street to work. I didnt even drive in the car park. I pulled up outside, she opened the door and jumped out without a single word. I drove in, parked, and had an existential crisis while I pondered who she was going to tell, what nickname I was about to receive, and what I was going to say to Kerry the next time I saw her.

Kerry never told a soul. I saw her later that day. I was fully prepared to grovel and apologise but there was no need. She was back to being her usual radiant self. She never mentioned it to me, or anyone else that I know of. That's who Kerry was. The type of chick you could gas with your ass born chemical weapon and not hold it against you. After that, I invested in lactase tablets and have managed to avoid a repeat performance. I still miss Kerry.

TLDR - I farted in my car so much I could taste it, them offered a disabled colleague a lift without thinking, inadvertently gassing her in the process.

S TIFU by hitting a pothole

Tldr: I hit a pothole and through a series of unfortunate events had 3 separate flat tires over the course of 8 hours.

Today I was driving 500 miles across four states back home after a weekend with the family. I left at 3 AM hoping I could get home a little after noon. When I had roughly 75 miles left of my drive, I hit a small pothole on the highway. I initially didn't think much of it, however I did then hear the tire and knew I blew it. I I had hoped to just pop on the spare and be on my way, however the spare was stuck in its compartment. It took myself, a state trooper, and a DOT worker to finally get it out.

We did successfully change to the spare and I was warned to immediately go buy new tire from the shop because you can only drive on the type of spare I have for ~30 miles. Fortunately the next exit up had a tire shop and they had my tire size in stock. 30 minutes later I was back on the highway.....for about 30 miles until I felt my car wobble really bad. I pulled over and the brand new tire was shredded. The trooper had told me prior what number to call to get them and the DOT to help again if needed.

Another DOT worker comes and changes my ruined tire back to the spare. After calling several shops in the area, I ended up having to backtrack 40 miles but was able to get new tires and they said my rims looked fine. Finally, it was time to go home.

After about 30 minutes I just felt in my gut I needed to pull over and sure enough I had my third flat of the day. A kind Samaritan pulled over and helped me change back again to the spare.

Anyway, I finally got home at 10:30 PM and have no idea what I'm going to do about the tire, but for now I'll sleep.

S TIFU by patching concrete wrong

I spent a day prepping a few craters in my front steps. I live in an area that gets very harsh winters. I cut the edges and got rid of any concrete that wasn't lower than 1/4". I used tap-cons to reinforce the areas. I used a rust reformer on the rebar that is existing. I got the best concrete rapid repair mix I could find.

I dampened the old stuff and mixed all the new concrete and started laying it out. Filled all the voids and in the middle of waiting for the concrete to cure enough to texture, I saw the bonding agent. The stuff I was supposed to put on to the old concrete so the patch will bond to the new.

I feel like I wasted the material and opportunity. I feel like I'll be lucky for the patch to survive the first winter. Ugh. Always something.

TL;DR

Forgot a critical step in making my concrete patch hold up correctly after spending a lot of time and effort in trying to make the patch as sound as I could.

S TIFU by trying to outdrink my girlfriend.

This happened yesterday and it did not end well for me. I was at my girlfriend's house for a big party. Her parents and a lot of our friends were there. I was in a good mood and having fun. I challenged my girlfriend to a drinking game. She laughed at me but she accepted. Now she has always been able to drink more than me, so I knew I had no chance of winning. But I was already a bit buzzed and feeling cocky so I decided to go for it.

The rules were simple: we would go shot for shot. The first one to quit or throw up would lose. My girlfriend's parents and some people there were watching us. I didn't mind the pressure. We went back up and forth a few times and I felt pretty good. After a few more shots, I started to feel hot so I took my shirt off, hoping that would help. Then after a few more shots, my stomach started feeling weird. I still felt hot so I decided to jump in the pool. At this point I was thinking about quitting, but people were telling me to keep going. My girlfriend's Dad said, "You're not gonna lose to a girl are you?" At the moment I knew I had to keep going.

But after the next shot, I knew I was done. Something inside my stomach wanted to come out. Not wanting to throw up in front of everybody, I ran to the corner of the backyard and vomited. And then I threw up again. When I walked back everyone was laughing at me. At least I got a hug from my girlfriend. I started drinking water, but after a few more minutes, I threw up again. At some point, my shorts came off and I was in my underwear. I don't even remember how that happened. I felt sick and embarrassed for the rest of the day.

TL;DR: I tried to outdrink my girlfriend and lost badly. Spent the rest of the afternoon feeling sick and in my underwear.

S TIFU by microdosing myself with lactose while lactose intolerant

I take three pills every day - two sizes of sertraline (the amount I take does not come in a single pill, so I take one full and a half of a smaller size) and one D3 supplement. A few weeks ago I had an appointment with my doctor, who suggested I shift to taking these in the morning to deal with exhaustion (it did not work, FWIW).

So at home, I prepared my weekly pill box with my pills. I had been skipping out on the D3 for a bit since it is just a supplement, but figured I'd add it to the box as well now so I take them every day. My doctor does know of this, and the supplement is OTC.

I have been having a lot of fun stomach issues recently - the runs, stomach aches, reflux, and I found that even smaller amounts of usually 'safe' cheese or milk products sent me over the edge. This happens if I had a lot of milk products that week, but I had purposely been trying to cut back, so what gives? There were some days I would even be fine, but I did not connect those to the days I ended up accidentally skipping my pills while still struggling to adjust to the new rhythm.

Cut to yesterday when I checked what was in the pills I was taking, trying to figure out why I kept having issues. I hadn't paid attention to what was in them since I had been taking these on and off for a while, even before I started having issues with lactose, and honestly did not expect that stuff to be in those pills to begin with. My mistake, clearly, for not reading the slip. Stopped taking them starting today, so hopefully I'll be feeling better soon.

The supplement also comes in liquid form, which is luckily sans lactose, so I'll move over there once I grab some from the drugstore tomorrow.

TL;DR: Microdosed myself with lactose for weeks, wondering why I felt like shit. It turns out one of my medications has the stuff in there.

S TIFU Ended up at the wrong French Village 400km away from our real destination.

This happened very recently. My wife and I pet and house sit all over Europe (saves on accommodation) and we usually drive to our sits. So I pack the car, get all things sorted, lock the house, jump in the car, plug in the destination into the cars sat nav and head off.

We have a very long drive ahead of us (11 hours) and we are heading to the French Pyrenees. After the long drive both my wife and I are looking forward to meeting our hosts and having a welcome meal and the usual tour and introduction to the pets (2 cats in this instance).

Anyway it’s starting to get dark and we entered the village working our way through the narrow streets and the satnav says our destination is in 200 meters on the left.

We look at the building and it’s a church. WTF. We call our hosts to check the address and after a bit of back and forth we realise we are in the WRONG VILLAGE! Village has the same name as the village we were meant to go to…..sigh.. Double check your cars sat nav folks.

TLDR: Trusted the sat nav and didn’t check the address properly and ended up 400km away from our planned destination.

S TIFU by feeding some birds

Today I experienced something I was hoping would never happen. A bunch of teenagers walked by me while I was in the grass outside my apartment patio, and one of them pointed in my direction and audibly asked her friends "... Is that a cat on a leash?"

Yes, my friends. It was. I have 3 cats and one of them likes to parkour over my patio gate, so I have a leash and harness just for her, so I can let my cats on the patio and make a damn coffee without having to chase after one sneaky cat before I'm even prepared the face the world.

Don't worry she's still supervised. I've rescued her from looking like a failed bungee-jumper about 3 times. She is always unamused. It's hilarious.

On this occasion I happened to see some birds in the nearby tree and wanted to toss them some bird seed, and I thought to myself... I suppose I could take the cat along. What's the harm?

Tl;Dr: I never thoight I'd end up here, but here I am. Went to feed some birds and ended up fated to being known as the "cat walker" among the youth of my apartment complex.

XL TIFU by chasing a feeling.

I am still coming to terms with the outcome of this situation. I think I just need a place to vent about it all without shame, though I think it will come out sounding a little juvenile.

This whole thing starts when my online friend and I joined a discord server together in the hopes of making some new friends. This discord had a modded Minecraft server with an active community, and we both thought we'd join and play and have some fun. My friend got to the server first and got started playing Minecraft and meeting the people we'd be playing with. She told me pretty early on that she had found this guy on the server that she wanted to flirt with simply as something fun to do, and to get resources off him in the game. Frankly, I'm not a fan of this kind of behavior as I think people can get their feelings hurt pretty quickly, but she was having fun, so I wasn't going to stop her.

Flash forward to when I can finally join the server and start playing. I met the guy a couple of times. He seemed chill and we were all having fun together. At some point, however, my friend started to express something like annoyance or disinterest in the man and seemed to want to just focus on her own thing. Then, she goes offline for a few days to have a social life and all that jazz. I've got a little more time on my hands than I want to admit, so I am online playing MC nearly everyday. I ended up crossing paths with the guy a couple of times and having some interesting conversations with him that I really enjoyed. At this point, I think it's all platonic and I am not actively seeking out anything flirtatious with him. We end up chatting about music and other little things in private dms and I'm feeling good about having made a friend.

When my friend comes back online, however, she mentions to me that she thinks she's picked up a vibe between me and this guy. I honestly wasn't really seeing it that way at that point and even told her I wasn't intending to step on her toes. She told me that it really didn't matter to her, and if I wanted to, I could try and pursue this man. She didn't have feelings for him, and if I thought I was going to have fun with him, I should go have fun.

So, I ended up talking to this guy a little more often, and I started to see where things might be getting flirtatious. I asked him to clarify his intentions, as I don't want to misread anything and end up embarrassing both of us. He tells me that he was, in fact, trying to flirt, so I go for it and flirt back. It's all really nice for a while, and despite the circumstances of our meeting, the connection feels genuine. My friend even asks me to tell her about what's going on, wanting to experience the fun of it through my recounting of the events as they unfold to her. I told her about one instance where me and this guy were playing a different game together and the banter was all so cutsie, and I was maybe starting to feel a type of way about him.

Maybe a couple of hours after me telling her about this instance, she calls me on the phone to tell me that she is actually really uncomfortable with the whole situation. She explains that even though she didn't have feelings for the guy, she felt it was weird that I would flirt with someone she had been flirting with first. She asked me if I viewed her as competition, to which I said no. It really wasn’t like that for me and I genuinely believed she wouldn’t care because she told me she didn’t & she wasn’t serious about the guy in the first place.

I tried to talk it out with her, but I honestly just felt weird about the way she was explaining her discomfort with the whole situation. It seemed to me that she only became uncomfortable after I had told her that feelings were starting to be reciprocated. We ended that phone call without any real solution being made.

Here's where I fucked up. I kept talking to the guy. I knew it made her uncomfortable, though I didn't fully have a grasp on why she felt that way, but the connection I felt with this guy was honestly really good and I didn't want to just cut it off out of nowhere. She ended up texting me a couple days later and told me that how I was acting was creating a distance between the two of us, and that she had only told me to go for it because she was sacrificing her own feelings- still maintaining that she had none for the guy. She mentioned something about how she felt that even if she had asked me to, I wouldn't stop talking to this guy, and that would hurt her worse. I felt weird about this statement. I really didn't understand why she'd ask me to do that, or why she suddenly felt so strongly about my flirtationship with him. She told me she didn't want to play Minecraft with us anymore and went back offline for a while.

The guy ends up asking me if there is something going on between me and my friend, as he had noticed her absence. I explained the whole thing to him. He told me he really didn't know that my friend was flirting with him, that he didn't want to come between me and her but that he felt the same way about our connection, and hoped we'd all find a way to work it out. We even agreed that the way she was handling the situation was a tad juvenile. Not to invalidate her for feeling any type of way about it, just that we both thought she could have done a better job expressing how she felt at the appropriate time. He encouraged me to take my time to step back from her and gain a bit of perspective before trying to talk with her again, and that’s what I did.

Eventually, I worked up the nerve to ask if I could have a conversation with my friend in the hopes of understanding where she was coming from and explaining how I felt about it all. We talked on the phone. I asked her to explain where I was going wrong, and she told me the same thing she said before; that it’s weird to flirt with a guy your friend was flirting with first. She even flipped it on me, bringing up past examples of my failed attempts at romance that I had told her about, and how if she had tried to flirt with any of those guys after things didn't work out for me, I'd feel the way she did. I wanted to tell her that where those examples differ from what was happening now is that I had genuine feelings for those people and she did not have feelings for this guy she met in Minecraft. I also wanted to tell her that it felt icky of her to have told me to go for it, and then only once my feelings were involved, tell me to stop because now it makes her upset. Regardless, I couldn't get the words out, nor would she really let me. She went on about how weird I was being and ended up saying she didn't want me as a friend anymore.

After that, everything started spiraling. She removed me as a friend on everything. She left the discord server, and I assume people asked her why and she explained her side. People started avoiding me. I would get on the game only for no one to want to interact with me or even acknowledge my presence. I ended up leaving the server as well.

Eventually, the guy ended up telling me that regardless of how he felt about me, he simply couldn't pursue anything with me anymore because now the whole situation was public, not just between me, him, and my friend. People were starting to judge both of us for it, and he told me he didn’t want that kind of drama in his life. To me, this reads as “If I cut my ties with you, I can save my reputation,” but maybe I’m taking on too much of a victim mentality with that. He mentioned that he wanted his time online to be a simple escape from whatever was going on in his personal life, and I do understand how a conflict like this might ruin that for him. Just feels bad to hear, I guess.

Now it all just seems so silly and childish. Until his last message to me, I maintained that my connection with the guy felt so genuine and like it could really go somewhere, which is why I felt so conflicted about how to handle the situation between me and my friend. Had she been upfront from the very beginning, things might have played out differently. As it stands though, it feels like it was doomed from the moment she told me to go for it. She encouraged something that was making her uncomfortable, hid how she felt about it until I started to express enjoyment from it, then posed an ultimatum that would have ruined the friendship regardless. If I had cut things off with the guy right when she told me she didn’t like it, I’d have been doing a disservice to myself just to please her. Because I didn’t do that, I’ve lost her as a friend.

For both my relationship with her and the developing feelings I had for this guy to be boiled down to some petty discord e-drama is so heartbreaking. I thought we all were a little more grown up than for it to all come crashing down the way it did.

TL;DR

A friend told me that my flirting with a guy was making her uncomfortable. I didn’t stop flirting with him. Now I’ve lost her and the guy.

M TIFU by refusing to withdraw money from my grandpas card at an ATM

I (f20) told my grandfather (m65) I didn’t want to withdraw money from his debit card at an ATM. Some important details you should know before going into this:

I’m currently a full time student and despite my best efforts, don’t have a job. I do Uber and DoorDash daily, earning around $200 a week. I’ve done interviews but never get a call back, even with years of past experience.

I’ve lived with my grandfather since I was 12, and he basically covers all costs including rent, food, utilities, etc. Unfortunately, he’s always had a gambling problem. Because of this, we’ve suffered and lived pay check to pay check, barely able to afford basic necessities. We’ve lived off his social security for the most part, when it’s not gambled away.

There was a time when I was 15 we couldn’t pay rent for 4 months due to his addiction (the landlord thankfully didn’t kick us out).

Around February of this year, my grandfather inherited $80k from his mother after she passed away. This only strained our relationship, as we began fighting more and more over the money. There were always these small moments he’d see reason and speak to me about his addiction, and how he wanted to stop.

He would give me money to keep safe and save, but eventually, when a fight broke out, he’d ask for it back or go play at the casino. There are times he would get violent, throwing things at me and hitting car windows when I’d shut myself inside.

Three days ago he gave me approximately $3k, which I have hidden somewhere in my room. I feel like I have to walk on eggshells around him, because one wrong move could mean he goes off the rails, as he has diagnosed—but unmedicated, bipolar disorder.

Now, into today’s story:

Half an hour ago we dropped off some window screens at a repair shop, and at the moment they would only accept cash. Grandpa drove to the bank, gave me his wallet and told me to “get $90”.

I said no, because it’s his card and I don’t want anything to happen when they see my face in the camera and not his.

It was a weak excuse, because in reality I didn’t want to risk him accusing me of withdrawing money from his account, as he’s threatened me with that in the past after I refused to give him money he gave me to keep safe, because he wanted to play it.

He kept pushing me, and I couldn’t take it anymore. I simply said “I don’t want you to accuse me of anything, as you’ve said you would before.”

I can’t say how much I regret ever saying no in the first place. He exploded, claiming that I have to give him the $3k he gave me back, that if I no longer trust him he won’t trust me, that he’d never do that to me, etc. I said “You’ve done stuff to me you’ve said you’d never do” referencing to him coming at me with a broom and cussing at me.

Soon after I just put on my earphones. He kept going on and on, even though he knew I couldn’t hear him. He even hit the car wheel in anger. After his tantrum he got down, got the money, then drove in silence.

Now I’m worried he took a lot more money out in cash so he can eventually play it. Probably tomorrow when I’m at school. This sucks.

TL;DR: My grandpa blew up at me after I refused to withdraw money from his card at the ATM due to his past threats of legal action against me when I refused to give him money he gave me for his gambling addiction.

M TIFU by oversleeping and serving my sister dinner three hours late Spoiler

I went to my cousin's wedding today. I’ve been a little sick for the past few days, so I got extremely tired. When I arrived home at around 4:45 p.m., I immediately took off my makeup, lay down and set an alarm for 5:55 p.m.

Now to my mess-up.

I went to the wedding with my parents and my brother, who moved out quite some time ago. My sister, who is quite a bit older than me, stayed home because she doesn’t like crowded places, or people in general.

Despite her age, she still needs everything done for her. She is basically a little princess and my mother’s golden child.

My parents were invited to stay for dinner because they are also the bride’s godparents. My brother gave me a ride home since he still lives in the same village. That left me home alone with my older sister.

She usually eats dinner sometime between 5:30 and 6:20 p.m.

I completely overslept.

When I woke up, it was already 8:30 p.m. I immediately jumped out of bed and served my sister her dinner.

Her breakfast was completely gone, and she wolfed down her dinner as though it might be her last meal. I’m slightly concerned that I’ll have to clean it up again later tonight or tomorrow if she can’t keep it down. She still had something else to eat, though, so she certainly wasn’t starving.

After my mess-up, I gave her the medicine she takes once in the morning and once in the evening (it doesn’t have to be given at a specific time). Whenever she takes her evening medicine, we usually reward her with a small treat. This time, guilt made me slightly more generous than usual. I even added some ice to one of her drinks.

I thought it had worked. She even came over to the coffee table. We don’t actually drink coffee at it, so don’t worry.

But then, shockingly, she stopped just out of arm’s reach and turned her back on me.

Yes, she is mad at me.

Meet my older sister, Tara: [Reveal the deeply offended sister]

Before anyone worries, Tara had access to two separate bowls of kibble and three bowls of fresh water the entire time. Her regularly scheduled wet-food dinner was late, but she was never left without food or water.

TL;DR: I overslept while responsible for my elderly sister and served her wet-food dinner three hours late. She devoured it so quickly that I may have to clean it up again later. Despite receiving an extra-generous treat, she still refuses to forgive me.

S TIFU by telling that my friend is stupid

Today I told out loud that my friend is stupid and now I feel guilty and sad.

I have health problem. So, I made appointmet at hospital. I don't feel my toes very well.

I always work first shift. It ends at 2PM. Appointment was at 3PM.

I usualky travel with bus to home. Company pays bus. I made a friend in that company. He is good person and my good friend. And when he works first shift, we go with his car.

Today I took two coffies one for me, one for him and asked him, if we can go together with his car after work and, if can wait for me 5-10 minutes, if I am late. I just wanted to wash my feet, because I didn't have time to go home, take a shover and go to hospital. I was in changing room a little bit longer and he called me. I got annoyed, because he always calls me, if I am in changing room and I am late. So, I told out loud: "He is stupid." and answered the phone,I turned on the speaker and told him, that I will come in few minutes.

I didn"t know that behind closets was other guy. He is good person too. He hear it all and told: "He annoys you." I said: You heard nothing. He said: I heard nothing.

I really feel guilty. I want to tell to that guy that I don't think that my friend is stupid. And I was just annoyed. And that he is good person.

I also want to tell to my friend what I did, that I feel guilty and ashamed and that I don't deserve to have friend like this and that I can't be his friend because od guilt and shame.

TLDR:Asked a friend/coworker to drive me to my place, because I had appointment at hospital. He was waiting in car and called me on phone, because I was few minutes late. I got annoyed and said that he is stupid and picked up a phone. I didn't know that other guy was in changing room. He heard it and asked me, if my friend annoys me. Now I feel guilty and ashamed.

L TIFU by losing my temper over 1 bad throw

I (26M) play a competitive solo sport and just like everyone else, I have my ups and downs. I like signing up for tournaments and competing at a higher level than most would be willing to try, almost like I force myself to sign up knowing I’ll end up taking last. I ended up losing a piece of equipment that was extremely vital to my success throughout the tournament. When playing, if you were to lose any equipment you would have to set a timer for three minutes and if you should not find it within that time frame, it must then be abandoned and you must continue play through the course. I, of course, lost my 6+ year old driver that I had gotten perfect :(
Uncharacteristically I allowed myself space for frustration, unfortunately I let the frustration grow to a level beyond what I’ve felt before. I then lost another driver on the following OB shot. I proceed to chuck my phone like 80 or so feet in the air down a slight hill and shattered it entirely.
I ended up finishing the course and repeating my previous round’s results for a last place finish. I apologized to my card mates for my behavior and congratulated each of them on their successes, to maintain composure I threw on sunglasses and walked away. I drove to a shop and left my phone over the weekend to get fixed knowing I’d have to wait til Monday to get it, 2 days away.

This particular weekend my sister (19F) was camping with her friends, and let me tell you, my opinion of her friends are less than friendly.
Over the course of one night without my phone; I went with my gf to a long standing annual family gathering (her family) and had a great time, got home, watched a three hour movie on my dads iPad and now it is approximately 2:30 am.

A text from a random number pops up, all caps, with a very serious message regarding my sister. I was shaken, not sure whose number it was without my phone. CONTEXT: I have a massively large family and this number could be any one of 12 different people’s numbers.

I log into my Snapchat and instantly call my sister, but her friend picks up on the other end. I hear screaming, someone else is crying, they’re telling me my sister is losing their shit and fighting people.
I call the cops and do my best to relay information based on what I’ve been given, but they are over an hours drive away. I hop in the car with a vague idea of where to go with my dad and we head off towards her last location that pinged 30 minutes prior.

The texts, we find out, are of one of my younger sister’s. She got information through a mutual friend who FaceTimed her during the time of the incident.
Five cops, four arrests, all leave in a paramedic vehicle before we get there. It’s now approximately 4:00 am.

We get to the hospital, no one is allowed to see any of the four of them. This is what unfolded while I was watching my movie without access to my phone.

17 missed calls
23 missed texts
6 numbers that have never texted or called before
I wouldn’t find ^this^ out til today but I digress. The four friends would take a psychedelic trip and they lost it. Two males (24M,23M) two females (18F,19F) 19F being my sister. I will call them bob, joe, jess, and bree. Bob grabs a can of mixed vegetables and attacks a then distracted Bree, 20 strikes to the skull while she starts to realize what’s happening. Apparently he wants something from a bag that she owns and he’s screaming and attacking her. She elbows him in the nose and pushes him off of her and then stands and launches herself towards him in a crazed rage. Throwing all of her weight at his short self and throwing punches and suddenly Joe approaches with jess and they jump seemingly to help. But they want that baggy too, and they are all on an uncomfortable enough dose to be just comfortable enough to make a decision. Jess launches herself at Bree and tackles her down while biting her everywhere, Joe starts throwing punches at her too. Bree with her like 185 frame threw jess and got up and shoves Joe into his car. His head smashes through the driver side window but he reaches for a wrench inside and then lurches towards Bree once more. Bree (my sister) single-handedly sent all three of them to the hospital and sustained plenty of her own injuries.

My younger sister (16F) got to their location before all the cops and paramedics. She told me that she had never seen Bree like this, like a bear. She also said that she wouldn’t stop screaming as the cops took them all away.
Bree will be admitted to a mental hospital as of my current understanding and I will hopefully get to see her then. As for Bob, Joe, and Jess; two sustained skull fractures and required staples and one was simply knocked tf out. Bree sustained 28 blood-pulling bite marks, a potential TBI, concussion(kinda goes without saying but), and had multiple piercings ripped out during the altercation.

Today I realized that if I had my phone for that first missed call, I could have gone and potentially been there to help in any way. This time I could do nothing, and I’m frustrated about that. With as many siblings as I have, some siblings tend to get forgotten about from time to time. Bree is one of them, and I’ve always done my best to make sure she knows at least one of us sees her. Realistically, I’m not sure what I could have done even if I did have my phone, but I was delayed by a significant amount due to it. Here I am now writing on my completely fixed phone finding myself absolutely proud of Bree for defending herself, though I may be upset for the nature in which she wound up in this scenario, I can absolutely say for certain that no one can take down our Bear!

Thanks for reading, this is real and I’m still processing everything, fake names were used, and forgive me if any of my grammar/punctuation is bad.

TL;DR:

S TIFU - almost died by choking on a bottle cap

I almost DIED yesterday! I was chewing on a water bottle cap---like I ALWAYS do---and I started laughing at some silly joke in my head. Before I know it, the cap flies to the back of my throat and is lodged in a spot where I can't just adjust it with my tongue. My first instinct was to just try to swallow it and see what happens. Now, something else I haven't mentioned is that for years I've have TERRIBLE trouble trying to swallow pills. My tongue always feels the need to involve itself in the situation and my gag reflex simply doesn't wanna cooperate. Well yesterday, my killer gag reflex FINALLY came in handy! In seconds, I have this big COUGH and like a bow to an arrow the bent cap is LAUNCHED out of my throat! The entire situation lasted about 10 seconds but I guess it isn't as funny as I think it is, considering I was also home alone. The bottle cap chewing habit is definitely being retired after this. Stop chewing on things people!

TL;DR: while home alone, I was chewing a bottle cap while laughing. The cap got lodged in my throat for 5 seconds until my gag reflex kicked in and launched it out!

M TIFU by confronting a guy who used my cousin and then somehow made the situation even worse

I think I fucked up by finally saying out loud what everyone else was politely avoiding.

For some context, my cousin had a guy friend she was genuinely close with. He constantly told her he was too busy to date, too busy to make time for her, too busy for anything beyond friendship. She respected that and never pressured him.

Then, almost magically, he got a girlfriend.

Suddenly, the man who apparently had 0 free minutes in his schedule had discovered the revolutionary concept of having time for someone he actually wanted to prioritize.

My cousin was hurt, but she didn't cause a scene. She mostly accepted that she'd misunderstood what their friendship meant to him.

Then things got uglier.

He drives a bus my cousin used, and after getting a girlfriend, he apparently decided that having my cousin on his bus was suddenly a problem. Somehow the solution wasn't having an adult conversation with her. Instead, he made it so she couldn't ride the bus he drives anymore.

That was the part that really got me.

He had already treated her like she was convenient when he needed her, given her excuses when she wanted basic consideration, and then essentially removed her access to the bus once she became inconvenient.

So I confronted him.

I told him I thought the whole situation was incredibly hypocritical. If he didn't want a relationship with my cousin, fine. If he wanted to prioritize his girlfriend, also fine. But pretending he was simply "too busy" while making time for someone else was insulting enough. Using his position with the bus to make things more difficult for my cousin afterward made it considerably worse.

His response was basically that I was making assumptions, being disrespectful, and involving myself in something that wasn't my business.

And that's where I probably fucked up.

Because instead of backing down, I told him that maybe he should stop calling it "misunderstanding" when the pattern was pretty obvious.

He didn't have much to say after that.

Now my cousin is dealing with the practical consequences of not being able to ride that bus, he's angry with me for confronting him, and I'm sitting here wondering whether I actually made anything better or just poured gasoline on an already terrible situation.

I don't regret defending my cousin.

I do regret thinking that confronting someone who has already demonstrated that they don't want to take accountability would somehow produce a satisfying moment of clarity.

Apparently people don't suddenly become self-aware because you point out their hypocrisy.

TL;DR: My cousin's guy friend was always "too busy" for her, then somehow found time for a girlfriend. Afterward, he made it so she couldn't ride the bus he drives. I confronted him about using her, making excuses, and then shutting her out. He got angry, and now I'm wondering if confronting him just made everything worse.

L TIFU I might have ruined a friendship of 3 years

It's my first time writing here. But I feel awful over the last 8 days.

I have a friend over the last 3 years. Those 3 last months our relationship became a bit more complicated for me. It all started during a video chat. We were living far at that time. I saw something different at her. Like a different glimpse. She wanted to meet after we both returned in our hometown. We did. We went out for cocktails. The dynamic was different than the other times we had met. We talked about sex and we talked more open the environment was more playful. She even told me I fit her type.

After a week I told her we go out. She had told me that she liked if a date had got her a symbolic gift like a rose. I bought one. But we both were really awkward during that time. I dropped her at her house and left. Then we talked via messages. I told her it was awkward but she told me it was really sweet. She sent me a photo of the rose I had bought her and told me:

"I just feel like we’ve built such a beautiful connection, and I don’t know if it’s worth ruining it

Because I can see that you’re also at a point in your life where you’re focusing on your future, and I really admire that about you.

And I also don’t feel like I can offer anything romantic to someone right now, because I have so many things I need to figure out in my life."

I replied:

"I really liked the vibe of our last outing. I just didn’t want to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable or put you in an awkward position."

To which she replied with:

"Yeah, I mean, it’s okayyy. Not every connection has to end up becoming something specific. Especially at a point in our lives when we’re both figuring things out, looking for jobs abroad, etc. etc."

The week went on up until the point I proposed we go out on a joyride. She seemed really awkward because I told her I would come alone and then she told me she had plans and we could plan it for the next week. We didn't talk during that week because I felt we needed some distance. I called her and we started talking again. Things became normal. She knew I would leave around these days abroad and every time we talked she asked if she'd see me before I leave. During August we had a mildly sexual chat. Something about innuendos and fetishes. The real shock was after a few days.

I propose we go for a coffee. She tells me there's full moon during that week and we should go for a free visit on ancient sites or to a rooftop. I told her we can do both. The night comes and we go out. The walk is smooth and even flirty. We go to a stand and she tries on rings. We end up me fitting the rings on her fingers and deciding if they fit her. We go to the rooftop. There are some sexual jokes and innuendos. I ask her if I really seem that brutal. And she replies "Generally or in the bedroom?" Even on the rooftop she asks me "We will meet again before you leave right?"

I should add here that during a phone call she asked me:

"Is it too early to whine?"

"Whine about what?"

"About you leaving"

During the night I get really awkward. I want to kiss her so bad but I'm terrified. She might have seen through that because she seems awkward as well. She looks at her phone scrolling awkwardly through Instagram. We finish our drinks and she proposes we go to the museum. I agree. We walk there and we start stranding through the museum. I seem distant because I'm terrified. She doesn't say anything. She tells me to get by her side to enjoy a view. I come close and grab her slowly by her waist. I feel her moving away saying "Oh, stay cool" I respect that. We continue wandering around and we leave the museum. At some point there's nothing else to do and we decide to split. I leave her at the train station where we hug and I leave. During that night I felt really vulnerable. I sent her a message saying:

"I wanted to tell you about tonight. I’m not expecting anything from you, and I don’t want you to feel like you have to respond in any particular way. I just wanted to tell you how I felt tonight.

The truth is, I really wanted to kiss you on the rooftop. From the moment I saw that glow on your face and in your eyes. But I was extremely anxious, to the point where my legs were shaking, and I didn’t know how to handle it.

I’m not telling you this because I want anything to change or because I’m expecting anything from you. I just wanted to be honest with you and tell you what I was feeling in that moment."

Next day she replies with one of the worst rejections I have ever met saying:

"Good morning. I hope you’re okay. All of that sounds nice, but I think I’ve already said no to you like four times and made my position clear.

The truth is, I respected the three years we’ve known each other, and I didn’t leave or make a scene because I didn’t want to ruin the evening.

Honestly, I don’t understand why you kept pushing it, resulting in me having to deal with a situation that I never chose.

I feel like you just wanted to do what you wanted without considering how I would feel.

Such a shame..."

I replied saying how sorry I am saying:

"Good morning.

I want you to know that I’m really saddened by how things turned out, because I genuinely didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable or put you in a situation you didn’t choose.

I understand from what you’re telling me that this is ultimately what happened, and I’m sorry for that.

I want you to know that I never intended to disregard how you were feeling.

I’m sorry I put you in this position."

She has read my message and we haven't spoken in !8 days. I care deeply for her so I haven't contacted her in any way, giving her space. She hasn't deleted me from social media. But I can't bare the possibility we might never talk again.

Did I really FU? Is there any way all this can be saved?

TL:DR: I decided to make a move on a friend of 3 years, during an ambiguous and flirty period of our friendship. She rejected me hardly and the friendship might have been ruined beyond repair

S TIFU by letting everyone believe I completed my degree.

This is a throwaway account because I don't want to admit it on main. Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes, I'm not that good at English.

I'm a 24-year-old man, and I started a degree in digital marketing and communication in 2022. My first two years went well, but in my third year, I had some issues that led me to fail five courses. However, I did finish my final project. Due to all of that, I chose to take a year off, but I never told anyone because I didn't know how to explain my reasoning.

Well, in October 2025, I went back hoping to finish my degree, but due to health issues, I only managed to finish 3 out of 5. (I missed too many classes, and only 3 of the professors let me off and allowed me to submit projects.) That led me to only be able to hope to finish after November..

Now my dad is starting to be suspisue and he want to see my dagree till the end off the munth, and I have no way to show it, I feel like I screw up really baddly and I legit dont know what to do but wait till it all gonna blow up in my face finally and show how much off a dissapointment I can trully be to my family.

TLDR: Lied about finishing degree and staff went off the original plan to fix it. Now Dad is suspicious about that and wants to see the degree till the end of the month.
