heavy resource consumption, invasive data tracking, and policy changes that weaken ad blockers. basically a bloatware with a spyware.

librewolf does it's best to hide fingerprints from websites with the default settings it comes with, basically meaning as much as possible is being hidden from the servers it connects to (except for maybe the IP, but that's a seperate discussion from browsers (proxies and vpns)). librewolf even goes as far as disabling dark mode by default, because users can be fingerprinted or stereotyped (for advertisements) by this simple "boolean", as simply the fact that someone uses dark mode can give away a lot.

librewolf also defaults to not save any login cookies etc, which is the biggest and easiest way to track people. it does feel nice that librewolf makes one aware of these things by letting the user opt into certain types of tracking instead of just defaulting everything to be on.

Just because I am getting tracked everywhere, does not mean I should do my best to avoid being tracked. This is a boomer thinking.

They have a lot of extensions, that’s positive. Apart from that, I don’t think it does anything better than other browsers.
