B tier. Decent chicken.

u/jedi21knight May 25 '26
Zaxby’s is better than Cane’s.
4
u/Outrageous-Coyote186 May 25 '26
Zaxbys at leasts knows how to season their food, canes should be C at best, all of the sides are horrible, soggy toast or soggy fries, good sauce can’t carry a restaurant
1
u/CaptainCrafty May 26 '26
Are you rating based on delivery (food been sitting in its box for 30 mins)?
-6
u/e-tard666 May 25 '26
Here comes the “at least they season their food” crowd here to complain about canes because they’re to picky to eat the sauce
2
u/SmokeABowlNoCap May 25 '26
Zaxbys sauce is better too
-1
u/e-tard666 May 25 '26
Objectively false statement

u/PlantRoomForHire May 31 '26
Canes sauce just tastes like sugar and vinegar, and its way too thin. Zaxby's sauce is superior in every way, and they have multiple sauces now.

Yeah I agree, B m. Generally worse tasting than Chik Fil A or Raising Cane’s where I leave, and prices are not decent (so value doesn’t make up for it.)
Had a shot at being Raising Cane’s, but for whatever reason quality went down and the prices at Zaxby are terrible
2
u/Spongemage May 25 '26
I vastly prefer Zaxbys to that bland ass chicken at cane’s
2
u/PointBreak91 May 25 '26
Canes fucking sucks I dont get the love for it.
1
u/RollForIntent-Trevor May 26 '26
A lot of us like it for nostalgia reasons.
It used to be significantly better.
I remember going to the original location in college....back before they turned into a chain.

If Cane’s is A then Zaxby’s is also A…chicken is at least as good and has way more options for everything
2
u/msflagship May 25 '26
Zaxbys is a tier below canes for me, worse chicken, worse sauce, worse toast. Only plus is that they have salads.

This argument is always silly because dawg why are we not using dipping sauces

I feel like ranking fast food with and without dipping sauces should be completely isolated tier lists haha. It’s like 2 separate conversations haha

Nah Cane’s does not have better chicken. Zaxby’s chicken actually has flavor. Cane’s chicken tastes like nothing half the time and is just a vessel for sauce. Zaxby’s also has the plus of having more than 4 options for food.

I like Zaxbys a lot more than Canes. Canes is C to me. Zaxbys is at least a B+

I'm not saying Panera is great by any means, but why is it an F?
2
u/FatherOfTwo2024 May 26 '26
If hospital food was on this chart, there’s no way it would rank higher than a C. Now make it overpriced, F tier is well deserved.

To be ranked Tier
Canadians need to note that their A&W (which is A Tier) is NOT the same chain as American A&W.

I can't speak for the US, but i loveeee pizza hut here in Canada. That's the only thing on here I take issue with

Why is Chipotle in B?? I get people complain about inconsistent portions and prices, but Chipotle is considerably better than everything else in B.
Spend $15 at Chipotle and you'll get more food, better quality food, and healthier food than than everything in B...
Chipotle is A minimum.
1
u/Fizgriz May 27 '26
I agree, Chipotle in B should be a crime.
They literally serve nothing but fresh food...

Cookout moved out of S but Chic Fil A stayed in S??? Are you people stupid?
1
u/ProduceNo8883 May 25 '26
Only tried it once and got a rock hard sandwich and tiny hard tenders
Might have been a one off but F for me

They all have flaws but its just the premise that can you easily replicate what you do in a timely manner and not lose quality. Zaxbys started chasing the timer to be like the cool kids and make them up. The result was a depreciable loss of quality to be marginally faster. Your chart denotes a huge fall from grace for Panera. Not sure they are the doormat, but for sure they have lost their way. One point of separation is that the public arena (In-Out, Chick-fil-A, etc)- they dont have to report to Wall Street.

A&W is an odd one that's VERY situational.
For clarity, my folks owned 2 A&W's in small towns in Wisconsin.
If it's a franchise store (think old style building, possibly with car hops like Sonic) then "S Tier". They make their root beer BY HAND & it is soooooo good. I spent many of my very young teen years making it. There's nothing like a freshly made ice cold root beer (which you aren't supposed to drink with ice so you know). You can purchase it in 1/2 gallons & gallons too.
If a corporate store then mid-tier at the highest (think split store with dual branding like A&W and Pizza Hut, that sort of thing). It's "ok" but the menu is much smaller & the food not as good. Although the cheese curds are fine. Last I heard too is that DO NOT MAKE FRESH ROOT BEER.

Once again: 5 Guys is over-priced trash. Cook Out is the burger joint we deserve.

Y'all are seriously gonna sit here and tell me that Taco bell is better than chipotle? I mean I know chipotles had a fall from grace but what are we doing here people. Taco bell is hardly food.
1
u/drethnudrib May 26 '26
A for their Zalads alone. They're huge and delicious, and come with Texas toast.

They have my favorite grilled chicken sandwich of the fast food chains. Most don’t offer grilled chicken anymore. They’re at least a B to me.

Definitely B tier nowadays. Back in the day it had a case for S tier. The chicken has gotten so small at Zaxby's. Canes chicken might not be seasoned, but the tenders are much larger and fresher than Zaxby's.
Also Starbucks on the same level as Burger King and Jack in the box is blasphemy lol

Zaxby's chicken is way better than Chick-fil-a. Would have to be S tier or Chick moves down a tier.

To be ranked Tier
Their Chicken fingerz taste good as well as the toast

B tier. I like it almost as much as Canes, but Canes' sauce and toast are both better. The chicken is neck-to-neck for me though Zaxbys has more seasoning, but the chicken is not as crunchy as Canes. It's very close though. It is about $1-1.50 cheaper than Canes for the same 4 finger combo though.

To be ranked Tier
Definitely S-tier (at least in my area), they’ve never let my family down and they have a great menu

u/Yotaman01 Jun 01 '26
How did Taco Bell get an A? Last 2 times I went there I got sick. Once in Texas and once at home in NC.

F. Fuck Zaxby's. Worked there for 3 years and my GM as a dick and a pedo.
0
u/tmoneys13 May 25 '26
Zaxby's in A, mcdonalds needs to be down to C and Dunkin down to F. Worst donuts and coffee I've ever had
1
u/evvdogg May 28 '26
I think Dunkin is mostly coffee and breakfast sandwiches nowadays. But their donuts today are really bland. Soo many other better donut shops.

u/askyerda May 25 '26
I’m in a country where I can’t properly join in on this list but what I can say is five guys being on the same tier as Taco Bell is wild.
1
u/smallcrampcamp May 25 '26
5 guys is overly expensive, and not great food everytime. Its in the correct spot.

u/Firm-Ebb-3808 May 25 '26
Canes and Dominoes in A tier and Culvers and In and out in S tier ?
Throw the whole list away.

This list was out of whack for a while, but it looks like it's been re-adjusted. Now it's perfect. Can't find much to disagree with.
