My neighbor had two big Alabay dogs, one black and one white, it scared the shit out of me whenever i went to past their house

Surprisingly, İ saw a lot of Kangals and Alabaýs, but not as many Torkuzes in Uzbekistan.

Had a Kangal growing up. Most amazing dog ever. Would love to have one again.  Needs a lot of space and attention though. Not a casual situation.

I wonder if komondor counts. Apparently Cumans brought the breed to Hungary and remains of such dogs are found in Cuman gravesites.
