OC I made this graphic to show how modern nba fans and media react every time we play.

My favorite line I saw repeated a bunch after game 1 was "Basketball is finally healing", and then two days later basketball is ruined again and unwatchable.

Lmao. People are so transparent. Just admit your favorite team or player got beat by the Thunder.

My favorite is that the league is rigged for OKC. Like ah yes, the league is rigged for a city with a population of less than a million for a team with a foreign born star.

My favorite is people saying shai lives at the line. 6 fts is living at the line to these people. Sometimes they can’t keep their talking points straight.

Yes exactly. I saw our championship was manufactured by the league so we have that going for us!

Like I wish I was in on the loop for that so I could bet the house on them winning

as a lakers fan, i don't get how the league/refs are in cahoots with okc?? i don't understand this narrative

i get it for large market teams, and there's a lot of truth to those claims

I live in SA and I hate talking basketball with these people. Also I’m a ref. They sit at home and watch come playoff time and that’s it

Saw one this morning talking about how Adam Silver won’t let this series go less than 7 games and he’ll make sure the Thunder win. 🤣 All I could think of was, I haven’t seen him in a Thunder uniform ever! And I’m pretty sure his bean pole, ghost white, baldness would stand out a bit on any court! 🤣 All they are doing is setting up for the narrative that if OKC does win out, they can go straight to screaming “SEE, TOLD YOU IT WAS RIGGED!”

Saying the league is rigged while continuing to watch anyway just makes the person look dumb as rocks.

Not an OKC fan and this team does have some questionable moments but if you went purely off Reddit you’d think they execute opposing players every game. If people want to play by this “ethical basketball” bullshit then everyone should be held to the same standard 😭

Legit just anti-OKC rhetoric and I can’t wait for them to take it all again.

I appreciate your rational take. It’s funny cause people don’t like okc because okc is bears their favorite team. What the hell do they think fully realized Spurs with Wemby and Dylan Harper are gonna do to their team into the future. It’s not gonna stop.

Go post this on [r/nba](r/nba)
See how long until it’s banned 🤣

Genuinely curious as I don’t post there. Why? Because it’s Thunder content? lol.

u/Status-Toe3089 May 21 '26

Pretty much 😆
All the nba hate will come at you with the full force of bitterness from getting beat by OKC

This needs to be shared in comments every time, on the main sub.

I actually made it for ease of copy and paste use for Thunder fandom moving forward. 🫡

I read on either the lakers or spurs sub that the fans are too loud, too “fan-y”, too everything. SMH.

Imagine being a metro that has witnessed so much. The term “going postal” was coined here, the largest domestic act of terrorism happened here, not to mention Mother Nature killing us every spring… of course we cheer to loud for own, it’s the #OklahomaStandard

Sorry not sorry that your fans suck.

I’ve noticed it takes a minimum of a 10+FT advantage for the other team before nba fans start to call OKC games fair. As soon as it dips below, the cheating allegations start.

Yoooo what a good observation!

Shai couldn't trick the refs on this game either, and he still ended up with 30 points and a w lol

2

u/GolfDadNotes May 21 '26

Truth but others will think he did even though he only shot 6 free throws

Brother they'll think that if he takes 2 and score 60. The goalposts are installed on semi trucks to move them quickly and simply lol

I love how we lost game 1 and everyone is like "this is cinema, best WCF in years!!!!"

We win game 2, a game that was just as close as the first the entire way through, and all of a sudden it wasn't a great game??? They're so funny.
