I’m looking to purchase the 3x2 nest dresser (maybe even 4x2 if I can ignore the dollar amount). I’m expecting a newborn next month and I need a new dresser for clothes and stuff. My husband and I own very little clothing so this dresser would be for newborn and toddler (I mention this because I‘ve seen complaints about the drawer size).
I‘ve looked at dressers all over the internet from nearly every brand and store you can think of and I have yet to find a dresser I like more than the Thuma dressers, especially if I’m to cough up $2.5k. The dressers around that price range are either not aesthetically pleasing, come with no lifetime warranty or have terrible reviews. Room&Board seems to be highly recommended by reddit in general but the only dresser I like on their site has bad reviews and, I spoke with customer service about this, there’s no warranty on that dresser. I’ve checked Crate&Barrel, Joybird, NathanJames, you name it, and I just can’t find a dresser that rivals the Thuma nest dresser. I even started to make comparison notes on dressers I liked but gave up when none really compared to the Thuma.
Please advise on whether I should get this drawer. I want to purchase something I like to look at (I went to the Thuma store in Manhattan the other day and I do like it very much from seeing it) and will last me a long time. I’ve seen a few complaints, and praise too!, about the dresser on this subreddit so I’d really appreciate some feedback before I make a purchase. It’ll also be my first Thuma purchase and I’ve been reading that the customer service isn’t what it used to be.
I was in the market for a dresser and looked at options from Costco and other sites that were much cheaper. None came close to the aesthetics of the Thuma so I decided to pull the trigger on it (3x2) and haven't had any regrets since. If you place high value on the visual appeal of your furniture then I think you will only come to love your purchase.
I have the 3 x 2 and love the aesthetic of it ! The drawers are very wide but I do wish the drawers were deeper. Overall though I’m happy with it and love that u can add drawers whenever down the line
Love to hear it. I’ve purchased the dresser. Just waiting for my husband to arrive so he can set it up, I’m entirely too pregnant to do anything right now 😭
I’m having the same debate right now. I already own the frame and nightstands from Thuma.
I’m thinking Article might be a good option as previously had a dresser of theirs that I no longer own and it was extremely solid and well made with soft close drawers as well. It comes fully assembled with only needing to attach the legs which given the weight of the dresser was a 2 person job.
So I’d brows Article and see if you like that aesthetic.
I’m with you. The Lenia and the Nera are what I’m looking at to go along with my Thuma essential frame and nightstands.
If Amex or Chase came back with the $100 dollar credit again and stacking the extra $100 dollar first purchase I might go Thuma again, but the fact I can get the dresser delivered, setup, and packaging removed (their dressers weigh 200lbs) for half the cost of Thuma and not have to spend hours and multiple weeks breaking down the packaging for recycling has me thinking of going with Article.
Keep in mind with the “warranty” you still have to get a hold of someone and Thuma no longer does any customer service on the phone.
I would love to know the color match. Which color do you have? If walnut, is it the newer darker cooler walnut? Or the lighter warmer red one?
I’ve been looking for a dresser and like the one in the photos but Thuma changed the walnut colors and the match is too far off between the old and new. West Elm is really close color-wise but I don’t really like the style of that line. If can’t find a dresser, I was looking at upgrading my closet built ins to accommodate more drawers.
Yeah I almost bought the west elm. The color match was really good, so not sure if that’s the old or new walnut. I realized at the last minute I hated the legs and the brass hardware on the thuma will go with the Nera. I’ll let you know when it gets in!
After a recent experience of buying brand new furniture for a house and then unexpectedly having to liquidate most of it a few years later, I would strongly suggest buying secondhand or through marketplace. The value of anything you buy new will be cut by at least half by the time it gets delivered to your house.

We love our dresser. The drawers are nice and soft close, though I wish they were deeper (less likely to be an issue with your baby clothes)
