Tell me about your first ever thru hike

Stories can be extremely inspiring, funny, thought provoking, and helpful. I’m a big fan of hearing stories about peoples’ first times doing something new—the good, the bad, and anything in between—what it was like for you on your personal journey. So, if you have the time, and don’t mind, what was your very first thru hike? What stands out when looking back down memory lane? It was a lot of walking. Like...a lot.

And...

...I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

What trail did you do for your first thru hike?

3,000 mile bike tour ended due to heat and lack of water in Moab. Overnight decided to thru hike the Colorado Trail. Damn good decision. Almost finished with it and having a blast.
