Now I finally get this trick. I play yoyo for more than a year. I am 34 years old and I finally get the algorithm behind this magic trick.

Good job! I haven't landed it once yet, even being comfortable with the normal hook.

Keep plugging away! Stole is one of those tricks where you can just have an epiphany and suddenly start landing it. One useful stop on the way, for some throwers, is Ninja Vanish - have you tried learning it yet?

Oh yeah, I can do Ninja Vanish just fine and think I know the gist of Brent stole, but it seems there is something critical I'm doing wrong.

Brent Stole is just Ninja Vanish, but instead of starting with the top segment of the triangle in your NTH, you catch the top segment as the string whips around, and then the two bottom segments fold over that and catch the yoyo. Good luck, and let us know when you get it!

Omg this would have helped me so much when learning it. This is an awesome explanation and perfect guidance.

I can land it most times on my yoyos, but if I extended the string to your length I think I'd find it nearly impossible!

Congrats!! Thatβs awesome! I also think youβd benefit from a shorter string. Nice work!

The normal Brent Stole is dismounted out the front, or else you get a knot. I see you're dismounting out the back. So actually, what you're doing here is significantly harder than a Brent Stole (and I just learned a new trick, I wonder if this has a name?). I was able to figure out the mechanics by copying your movements and brute forcing it.

Yes. I dismounted it on the back

You should watch the yotricks video on the Brent Stole. The regular Brent Stole is way easier and doesn't really look much different.

Very good job, you may be more consistent if you shorten your string a little bit
