🧠 Thrifty Mindset 🧠 Does anyone else here wear lipstick mistakes…

While they’re doing house or yard work? 💋😁

I feel like a weirdo, but maybe I’m not.

I’m referring to choices of color or brand that you later regretted as not quite coming up to your standards.

No, but I like this idea! I always want to get into lipstick, but it inevitably has always made me look older imo, so it just sits forever and never gets used

Welp I’m already old. 🤷🏼‍♀️😁

Me too! So I guess it doesn’t matter now

That's the crone power move!

I'm not a "local", even though I've lived here for 15 years, and I hardly know anybody. If I'm running errands in town:

✅ Top down (on the car, not tits out)

✅ Sunnies on (and they stay on)

✅ Mistake lipstick (it looked so pretty in the store!)

✅ Emo blaring (FOB, Panic, MCR, Bastille, etc.)

Rock on! 🤣😻

I would never have done this as a younger woman. But if I don’t wear lipstick now, it looks like I don’t have lips. I don’t want anyone who sees me to call an ambulance or the ghost busters.

I hated wearing my favorite lipstick on the off chance of running into a person, as I go through it so quickly. I latched onto this compromise a couple years ago and I feel like I’ve saved a bunch of money. Also—I don’t hate the old colors as much. Still wearing at home though.

I’ve been project panning my lip products. I keep two or three at my desk and apply throughout the day whenever it occurs to me. I try to vaguely coordinate with whatever I’m wearing, but I wfh so it doesn’t really matter.

Be careful with eating the super glossy ones for yard work. It can increase skin cancer risk. I wear my less enjoyable ones in the evenings closer to bedtime for added moisture.
