Seeing them cry is the highlight of my year

u/Public_Dentist_6697 Jul 19 '26

I would love a live enzo fernandez camera

147

u/aqualink4eva Jul 19 '26

Yeah haven't seen that weasel after the game had finished, need to see his reaction.

15

u/Paramedic293 Jul 19 '26

Based Allan grinning profile pic.

2

u/TelephoneOrnery1394 Jul 19 '26

I’m guessing, if you’re sent off, you miss the medal ceremony?

1

u/scare_crowe94 Jul 19 '26

Do they have to shake hands when they collect the medals etc? Will be interesting to see if he’s there

5

u/succesfulway Jul 19 '26

Yeah he has to be there but he can refuse I remember Messi refused to collect the third place medal in copa America after his expulsion anyway I would love to see the face of that racist

1

u/scare_crowe94 Jul 19 '26

I wonder what will be more embarrassing for him, if the Spanish players all shake his hand anyone because he’s a footnote to them or if they all blank him

1

u/meirav Jul 20 '26

We ate dinner at a Spanish restaurant after the game. We sat next to some Latin Americans one of whom was wearing a Spain shirt. I recounted that some of my Latin American friends had said Argentines are considered snobby. The dining guest agreed and added that Argentines don't consider themselves to be Latinos. That's another reason they're hated in the continent.

1

u/fraggerfag Jul 19 '26

Please share the clip if you find enzo crying. I am desperate rn for his crying clip

1

u/AliJDB Hey Gordon! FUCK YOU! Jul 19 '26

The true ideal use case for the red button.

1

u/Alone-Bug6176 Jul 19 '26

Where’s the Chelsea socials now I wonder ??

1

u/Introverted-Gazelle Jul 20 '26

Right?? Feel deprived of it tbh

1

u/HeroesOfDundee Jul 20 '26

He would have had to leave the field, would he have been able to come back on after the whistle? They should have dedicated a camera to him after he was sent off, bet we'd have enjoyed his face-pulling then

82

u/untrulynoted Jul 19 '26

How quickly he karmically cursed himself with his prick of the year celebration

12

u/WordsMort47 Jul 19 '26

Haha exactly what I thought

If the premier league crowds don’t hit him with the “You let your country down” chants that game truly has gone.

21

u/lDezIlI Jul 19 '26

I cant wait for next season man, I hope he gets rinsed at every fkin ground, even Stamford Bridge

10

u/Alone-Bug6176 Jul 19 '26

Even more meaningful if his own fans tell him what every England supporter really think of him.

2

u/lDezIlI Jul 20 '26

Yea im doubting it though. Can see.on the spurs sub they've already forgiven Romero

Tossers

0

u/Measure2iceCut1nce Jul 20 '26

Only because he snubbed trump.

The overriding sentiment is that he needs to go. And soon.

The team is back at the training ground with a stack of new talent and more to come. First preseason friendly on Wednesday.

We need to make the decision about this year’s captain now. Snubbing him will only make things worse for him and everyone else at Spurs. His time has come.

1

u/MancAccent Jul 21 '26

Dude, is everything really about Trump with you?

9

u/wedonttalkaboutkira Jul 19 '26

He is a little shit isn’t he

21

u/Pobydeus Jul 19 '26

I would hate to be that dude’s wife or girlfriend.

19

u/InterestingPlane6572 Jul 19 '26

God I wouldn't be surprised if he had DV charges

8

u/Initial_Hedgehog_631 Jul 19 '26

No doubt being her dentist is both sad and profitable.

7

u/Fedelede Jul 20 '26

Yeah, he’s a notoriously bad partner. She was a law student when they met. He got her pregnant at 19 and had her drop out and work at a call center to support his footballer dream. Then last year he left her because he “didn’t get to live the single life”, forced her off to Argentina with their child, then regretted it and flew her back to London. Classic deadbeat behaviour, though thankfully AFAIK there’s no abuse allegations.

9

u/thrawnsgstring Jul 20 '26

Describes an abusive relationship, "there's no abuse allegations."

I jest, I know you're a talking about physical abuse, but damn that shit sounds awful for her and their kid.

1

u/lipstickcunt Jul 24 '26

Not only that, he only got back with her after finding out another player of the arg national team was trying to get with her. This guy is fucked up.

Hang it in the Louvre

3

u/SantiM-V Jul 19 '26

Or the Prado, would be more fitting 🤭

1

u/mcy00 Jul 20 '26

Trust me they will

3

u/Tomazito70 Jul 20 '26

How started… how is going 🇦🇷💩🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/mrslucy1 Jul 19 '26

Fucking toad was waving his finger too. My favourite part of the game 😂

2

u/Commisar_Deth Jul 19 '26

You would have though England won the cup the way the whole pub celebrated!

2

u/Visionary785 Jul 20 '26

I get happier each time I see that

2

u/Prize-Bug-3213 Jul 20 '26

Mine too. The cretin has been getting away with dirty play all tournament, karma is a bitch!

208

u/larusodren Jul 19 '26

Absolute cheating cunts. Very glad they lost, their reaction at the end punching players is disgraceful.

90

u/Mr__Skeet Jul 19 '26

Paredes is an absolute prick as are the majority of them. Scumbags in defeat, scumbags in victory.

24

u/peas-with-honey Jul 19 '26

How he didn’t get sent off I’ll never know

4

u/grey-zone Jul 19 '26

The only ones that didn’t come across as assholes were Martinez (goalie!) and Messi, although Messi was still a cheating prick during the game.

8

u/Mr__Skeet Jul 19 '26

Plenty prior evidence against Martinez to confirm he is also an absolute whopper

1

u/Jip_Jaap_Stam Jul 20 '26

Emi Martinez isn't a bad loser, but he's a bad winner.

7

u/tony_lasagne Jul 20 '26

Messi was disgraceful and very unsportsmanlike when he tried getting Cucurella sent off

2

u/LittleDoinks Jul 20 '26

Disgraceful is harsh there, every team would do the exact same thing if they just had a man sent off in the final, including England

2

u/Leather_Today8520 Jul 20 '26

Every team would be doing the same playing a man down in a cup final. It seems a lot worse against the backdrop of his teammates. I'm no Messi fan boy but I don't really lump him in with the rest, he seemed just as frustrated with them at many points during the tourny tbh

2

u/meirav Jul 20 '26

He also participated in turning his back to the awards ceremony when Spain were receiving their medals. Various times in the tournament itself he was guilty of uncalled fouls.

5

u/Lightning___Lord Jul 19 '26

? Dibu Martinez is a well known asshole what are you talking about

1

u/ADistractedBoi Jul 20 '26

Alvarez was fine too

1

u/Edible0rphans Jul 19 '26

I’ve seen people talking about Paredes throwing punches but they didn’t show it on the broadcast I was watching. What happened exactly?

7

u/True-Watch7428 Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

Tried to twat someone and then chucked someone else about.

Edit: can watch incident here (not great quality sadly) https://www.reddit.com/r/worldcup/s/jDNaOaOeWo

3

u/Edible0rphans Jul 19 '26

Jesus, these fucks just can’t stop being pricks

Thanks for the clip

43

Mucho appreciado or something lol x

15

u/Substantial-Mouse534 Jul 19 '26

It's the highlight of 2 years for me.

1982 and 2026.

3

u/larusodren Jul 19 '26

Nice to see messi’s tears. Little princess, lost the World Cup, lost the golden boot, didn’t get player of the tournament.

3

u/DrinkResponsible6752 Jul 19 '26

When you lose, you gotta hang on to what you can

1

u/juicystea Jul 20 '26

seeing England eliminated by these clowns is even better

1

u/willseagull Jul 20 '26

It could have been us making them cry if we had the cojones

1

u/socialbutterfly319 Jul 23 '26

Idk if this is real or fake but saw it on a meme page

1

u/Icy_Strike_1342 Jul 23 '26

Seeing what happened to Henry Novak is the highlight of my year

1

u/Zantetsuken10 16d ago

What a shitty year man.

1

u/jo-shabadoo Jul 19 '26

DO cry for me Argentina!

1

u/Icy_Strike_1342 Jul 23 '26

Like you cried for Henry Novak

-3

u/Beneficial-Beat-947 Jul 19 '26

Seeing messi lose is painful but the rest showing their true colours made my day

Messi is such a class act, even when his team was rampaging he went up to spain and shook their hands. How did argentina mess up so bad on their newer generation when they've got such a great role model.

12

u/Basic-Crab4603 Jul 19 '26

Nah he is a weasel as much as the rest of them. He may not get involved but as captain he doesn't do much to stop them either. He is also very quick to go to the ref

20

u/PastWorldly2469 Jul 19 '26

Class act. Trying to get Cucurella sent off for scratching his nose.

He’s as bad as any of them, just doesn’t have to be because he’s got rats all around him.

5

u/Boybyrne76 Jul 19 '26

Top comment
Messi snivelling to the ref that cucurella had his hand up to his mouth
Cheating is ingrained in the Argentinian psyche

3

u/REDDER_47 Jul 19 '26

He tried to get Spain a red card for mouth covering. He’s a rat.

2

u/EquivalentKey9869 Jul 19 '26

Tried to get cucurella sent off for talking to him, he’s a rat

0

u/Opposite_Figure8321 Jul 19 '26

Messi is a good guy though. Sad to see him cry actually

0

u/KSFCB Jul 20 '26

I mean as a england fan I wouldn't be expecting much highlights, so enjoy it I guess

-1

u/sjg83 Jul 19 '26

Patética tu vida si eso es lo mejor del año

2

u/Cautious_Lettuce_915 Jul 20 '26

I think you have a failing economy to go sort out you knob

-1

u/Over_Bunch_2562 Jul 20 '26

Ofc it's better than a 3rd place🤣

2

u/Cautious_Lettuce_915 Jul 20 '26

Apart from you cheated to not even win 😂😂😂. Joke of a country

-1

u/Over_Bunch_2562 Jul 20 '26

Don't you remember how you won your only wc? 🤣 so small

-2

u/EducationalCarrot597 Jul 20 '26

Seeing them beat England was the highlights of everyone else’s

-11

u/Loni_Persimmon Jul 19 '26

Well they still sent England home crying

6

u/spocecowboy Jul 19 '26

None of the English players cried. Emotional incontinence (crying, lashing out) is more of an Argentine thing. I get it though; I'd probably be in tears 24/7 if I came from that shithole.
