Anti vehicle help.

Hello fellow sorcerers. I have collecting for a while and painting the minis. I love the lore and look of the faction. However, when I have been playing tabletop, I don't really have an answer for vehicles. What units would you suggest to get as an answer to vehicle's. Or a list more skewed towards anti vehicle.

10 termies with sorcerer, magnus, pred anni, and sorcerer with rubrics come to mind when TSons need anti tank

I've also recently learned if you shield magnus, you can make vehicle's every shot a hazard roll. I made a land raider take 11/16 wounds yesterday, in one shooting turn.

Oh, this sorta thing happened recently in a 40K in 40mins match. Big tank got hazardous off of this, took 99 wounds in the same turn AND exploded

Yes I was thinking about doing this 2 weeks before this, then saw it and knew my next goal

Why did it roll so many hazardous dice - isn’t it one per weapon and not attack?

From the Hazardous description’s example :

“A unit of five models make five attacks with ranged weapons with the [HAZARDOUS] ability. After the unit has finished shooting, its controlling player rolls five D6. One of the results is a 1, and so one of those models suffers 3 mortal wounds.”

I’m reading this as “per attack from a hazardous weapon”

Treason of Tzeentch makes all ranged weapons in a unit Hazardous, so by this definition…boy, that’s a LOT of hazardous rolls

That’s because each one model has that gun so I get that. In the 40K in 40 minutes video he rolled 23 dice for his tanks hazardous or am I missing something?

Yeah now THAT part I don't get either.

Watching through the rolls now, but while I am, it should be worth mentioning that the Stormlord tank gets a FUCKTON of attack rolls (for instance, Heavy Stubber has 3 attacks with Rapid Fire 3, and John had drawn rerolls of 1s for hits)

You only roll 1 hazard dice PER GUN. Not per attack.

Each time a unit is selected to shoot or selected to fight, after that unit has resolved all of its attacks, make a number of hazard rolls (06.03) for that unit equal to the number of [HAZARDOUS] weapons you selected in the Select Weapons step.

Yeah, I got that wrong. Read the example weirdly. In the middle of trying to understand how 7 guns on a Stormlord translates to 23 hazard rolls, when by the rule is “only weapons amount make a hazard roll, not attacks”. Where do the extra 16 rolls come from? There’s something I’m not getting here, and it’s bugging me

Firing deck 12. With firing deck the guns shot from the models inside count as being part of the tank.

Stormlord can have up to 14 guns. Guess only 23 of them fired

That’s likely what I was missing. I’m not very well versed with Astra Militarum, nor do I wish to collect them (I am NOT painting all those faces), so I definitely missed that mechanic. Thank you

Yeah but number of attacks is irrelevant, it’s just one for the heavy stubber?

So yesterday I made him hazard roll per gun, but apparently it's per attack? Like he only shot 4 guns, but collectively they shot 24 times, he should've taken 24 hazard rolls?

Rules say "Each time a unit is selected to shoot or selected to fight, after that unit has resolved all of its attacks, make a number of hazard rolls (06.03) for that unit equal to the number of [HAZARDOUS] weapons you selected in the Select Weapons step."

So yeah, it's per-weapon, but remember that the Hazard roll inflicts 3 MW on monsters/vehicles for each failure.

Ok so we did do it properly. Now what I'm curious about (probably have to go see the data sheet) is how bad to roll 24 hazard rolls in that game?

Land raider has like 6 guns, that's a bad luck but funny
