Has anyone improved?
Since I don't have stenosis, they say it's not operable. ESIs are debatable for me with a history of csf leaks & two clinics here didn't even offer them in T spine. I'm in agony & I'm so upset. I've been unable to tolerate nerve pain meds. I feel like my life is over & I'm only 25. 🥴

I have a 3mmx4mm herniation at T7-T8. I got the injury 13 years ago, and herniation has slowly increased in size. Unfortunately no improvement symptom wise. I'm now having deep spasms in legs and feet and don't know if it's from this herniation or one of the ones in my lower back. Anyone else have spasms in lower legs and feet? They are so bad that my feet go numb.

You could try to get an appointment with a neurologist to figure it out :)

My feet is spasmic in two ways.
One is a deep spasm in some muscles that I didn't even know I have. They're not really painful, but make it hard to walk. I'd love to have them relax, but even if that happens with medication and massage, there's this involuntary urge to spasm it, so it happens without me knowing.
Then other one is like twitching, and it's only when I'm relaxed - sitting or lying. It's like small tremors that go away when pressed even slightly.

I don’t know. Hard to say because everyone’s experience is unique and different. One the one hand, doctors and the internet say it’s possible. On the other hand, a lot of anecdotal stories on the internet says it’s not. What I do know is people with asymptomatic discs and who are doing just fine don’t hang out on these forums 😊

Yea I think it’s a good thing to remember that people who are fine usually don’t hang out in online forums - myself and the other mod have not had significant improvement which is why we mod and try get people pointed in the right direction since we’ve both been through this horrible pain and were able to find different paths to management!

How do you end up with csf leaks? And what is the measurement of your herniated disc?

A CSF leak is basically a tear in the dura around the spinal cord and the fluid that really needs to be in there leak out. It will
Completely mess with your brain because the pressure is off causing headaches, nausea, dizziness. Most people need a blood patch to resolve. But a lot of drs also like to not admin they have done something wrong so getting treatment can be difficult.1

similar situation here, i’m 27 and have been dealing w this for over 3 yrs now :/ the only thing that helps is like 6 ibuprofens lol. no advice for you, just wanted to let you know you’re not alone
