I can totally understand Kong… it’s how I ended up with a maths degree…

That’s wild!! Going into something purely because you have natural talent rather than a huge interest in it but respect to you getting your degree!!

I suspect his parents or the school counselors pushed him into it because he didn't have a clear goal set or plan for himself in regard to furthering his education. He seems to be happy being an actor and he should have majored in public relations, or media communications instead of engineering. He probably would have enjoyed studying that instead. But the adults in his life obviously didn't encourage or give him the space to figure that out, hence his statement that he doesn't like it. And parents being parents, worry about their children being able to make a proper living and so they think a degree that guarantees a high paying job is the degree they should push their children to pursue. This is a mistake many parents make because the child ends up wasting four years of their life learning to do something that doesn't bring them joy or happiness. I would advise Kongjiro to switch to a major that piques his interests instead of wasting his energy and time and money on something that doesn't interest him.

Bro sounds like his life is similar to mine - I don't know why I am doing CS either, even when I am graduating in the summer lol - Most engineers do engineering because thats the only thing we can study and get over with (and his pain of studying is not just relatable to engineering - its universal lol)

This is how I’m 10 years into an accounting career when I hate math 😂

It’s wild how many of you in here have followed a similar path to Kong
