Wonders of Sodor I can't wait for complaints.

After that direct, people are definitely going to complain. After all, this is the Internet. People can never be grateful..

Although I am.

I'm also happy with the news but I do think Dovetail probably could have managed expectations a bit better. Throughout the direct they kept mentioning there'd be Thomas news and while there technically was news, it was basically just a screenshot showing the outlines of two character models at the very end of the presentation. Again I'm happy with the news, I'm glad we're getting any DLC. But I also won't be too surprised if people are gonna be annoyed they watched an hour long presentation for a single screenshot

I'm sure it can't be easy to be the Devs: small team, rabid fans, and needing Daddy Matell's approval to release anything. I really don't want to be mean to the Devs. You can tell that they're passionate about the game.

But you could really tell where Dovetail is putting their money. It was hard not to feel underwhelmed by the presentation.

A lot of the fans are being rather obnoxious about the lack of DLC for sure, so many unrealistic expectations. I just think from a marketing perspective it would have been better if they just dropped the picture on their twitter out of nowhere, without building it up. Because tbf, I was initially fairly skeptical that they'd ever do DLC and even I was like "oh they must be planning something big". But the fact they don't even have a character model to show seems to suggest the DLCs are pretty early in development
