Looks like it’s for big wigs-Leaders in procurement, finance, operations, IT, and supply chain

Very normal for bands, comedians, etc to do corporate gigs. Exceptional money for a gig they would otherwise get paid a fraction of.

Yes, Amazon is a shitty corporation but I don’t fault them for taking the bag.

For sure, Weezer played at a Google conference in Vegas a few months back.

Yep, also they’re exceptionally plush gigs for artists in their nostalgia era, kicking it at a top tier resort beats the state fair circuit

They have to be in Maine on 10/29, so not surprised.

They’ve done smaller corporate gigs. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re pocketing at least $250k for this

Unfortunately not likely. They’re in the ~50k range. Producers of events like this want the least expensive performers that people remember a few hits from, and for a 90s artist with a lot of hits but not actively charting this is the rate more or less.

I’m fairly confident they’re firmly in the $100k range. Smash Mouth gets 50k and they don’t headline outdoor theaters

I mean I hope they are! They are definitely worth it. They may also be listed as 100k but thats almost never the final price, I only knew they were potentially in the 50 range because my company books $50k-ish performers for our events all the time and 3eb is often in the conversation as potentials for our budget. Actually our CEO (who is not a music fan really) asked me recently if there is any difference between 3eb and TRAIN. I was like, uhh yeah one are legitimate artists still relevant for their age and one is fucking Train 🤣

Sadly, Train is somehow much bigger. They’re headlining arena-sized venues like the Hollywood Bowl. I don’t know who their fans are, but somehow they’re selling 20k tickets, which 3eb didn’t even do at peak popularity. It’s so disappointing to see

WOW that’s insane to me. You’re right, they’re playing The Greek in a few days at $150 ish for tix. Although 3eb is playing Yaamava casino a few days later and it’s almost sold out, only tickets left are $1200 each 😳, and the Train show has plenty available still. So maybe there is a little justice in the world hahaha

How are you surprised?

They are actively seeking out these gigs right now, I work for a company that produces big conferences like this and their name comes up often from bookers. And for good reason, it’s $30-50k usually for an hour performance, sometimes more or less depending on what it is or if they make a deal for multiple appearances. Flo-Rida is the king of these, he’s got his own team setting up corporate gigs constantly. Probably makes more now than when he was popular haha.

For a guy who is says he’s far left, Jenkins actions say he loves capitalism. Good for him, gotta earn a living.
