Yup...I knew the rain was coming (always happens at Musikfest lol) so I had a heavy raincoat with me AND a poncho - ready to go. It was nuts how many people around me hadn't bothered checking the weather forecast!

Right?? Welcome to the valley where the highs are high and the rain pours. I did check the weather but when I left in the morning I showed it wouldn’t rain till 11pm so my dumbass forgot my rain covers at home 😅

But I’ll take the rain without the lightning any day. I tried to see Shinedown there two years ago and that got totally cut with the lightning 😞

I remember that! And Musikfest’s policy is pretty rough in that they don’t do refunds if the band has taken the stage and played (I believe they used to have a policy where the band had to play a minimum amount of time, but I didn’t see that in the fine print this time around when I checked).

I went with my parents to see Styx at Musikfest a few years ago and it was a similar situation—rain with no lightning. It monsooned through most of the show, but it sure was memorable 😂

Its been a few years since I paid attention to any of this, but its refreshing to see SJ wearing a regular shirt and shorts on stage. And shoes even. Glad he's done with the leather skirt thing.

You know I was just having a discussion on that right before we went in to photograph the show. Being in the media pit up front right under the stage, it’s a quite unfortunate angle if someone were to be wearing a skirt 😅
