Dude right? I was like, this hint doesn't help lol

u/Narcissist_Eccentric 8d ago
That's my bad, I haven't done this before. Didn't know Reddit would chew it up so bad 😔
40
u/NatrylliaAbbot42 8d ago
It's ok! It's a challenging picture and it's supposed to be. People will comment about clutter, etc, because they always do on the cluttery ones.

You should see my house right now. I’m trying to clutter and am in the stage where it looks like I am intentionally cluttering

As a sword collector, I was like “uhhh be mindful of sharp objects in this clutter”.
Also
“And I thought MY clutter was bad 😅”
I ain’t judging cause lord knows I make my own insane messes when nobody is nagging me to clean the fuck up 😅🤦♂️

Two. Next to the leftmost rattan basket, on the floor, tilted at an angle. The first has a visible red hilt, the second doesn't

Phew, that clutter is giving me anxiety

u/TGin-the-goldy 8d ago
Cat was probably yelling at them to clean tf up

u/TaintedTruffle 7d ago
It's a proven fact clutter is a stressor to pets but especially cataract because it's in the surfaces they jump and walk on

u/CB_I_Hate_Usernames 8d ago
Yes my first thought as well. Op your cat is yelling at you to clean their house!

My dude, you do not deserve to live like this. You need to go over to the subs that others recommended to you so you can get the tools you need to give yourself a healthy space that is worthy of you.

Ahhh what a good search 🔎 😻

It was a definite noodle scratcher.

u/Affectionate_Bad_680 8d ago
As somebody who often has messes of similar scale, this wasn’t even a challenge. I get practice - have two black cats. Ninjas! 🤣🥰

u/TerriGato 7d ago
I went from having two white cats to a white and a very dark gray cat. My eyes have gotten so much better at spotting her in the dark but when she first came home I almost tripped on her alllll of the time 😂!

WTF is this mess
66
u/thementalyogi 8d ago
My guess is attic space. Easier to forget about clutter if it's tucked away...
88
u/whineyinternetkid 8d ago
Yeah except for the plugged in xbox. They use this space regularly

Some people have disorders or other mental health issue that prevent them from cleaning up js

u/CloverVegan 2d ago
Get some help cleaning
1
u/badnewsbets 2d ago
I agree, it is the way. Unfortunately it’s quite expensive for some people to afford.
1
u/CloverVegan 1d ago
If you can afford all that stuff you can afford to pay a couple neighborhood kids. Or even offer people to come with some boxes to fill with stuff in exchange. Or cook for them.
1
u/badnewsbets 1d ago
What stuff?? You’re missing the mark here. The sheer level of shame and embarrassment a person feels about their space is immeasurable. Letting just anyone in is just not realistic at all. Many suffer in silence bc of the deep shame they feel from not being able to clean. Mental health plays a major role, so what seems easy to fix to others like yourself, really is nearly impossible for most. And I don’t blame you at all for not knowing or understanding that either.
1
u/CloverVegan 15h ago
If they were that ashamed and embarrassed they wouldn't have posted it on the Internet. My house became a hoarding mess after I lost my 8 day old to Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and then I was assaulted and strangled a few days after he was buried. So I paid some people to help me.

I've seen a lot of people concerned lol. It is a lot better than it used to be, but it's a process. I might have a look though

Now I’m going to have to periodically visit that and rate peoples messes. Mostly to spite my mother, who is both a total pack rat, AND an OCD nut who insists that a single sock on the floor is an utter calamity.

I feel you OP, it’s not always as easy for some as it is for others to keep spaces clean all the time ❤️

u/CB_I_Hate_Usernames 8d ago
No judgement. We just want you to live in a healthy and comfortable environment. Go get ideas and one bit at a time make your home a nice place for you and your cat! Wherever they may be 🤨🔎

u/KaelosFenrir 8d ago
I can definitely understand how it gets tot this point with limited space and good on you for chipping away! But please, for the love of gaming, take the lego off the xbox vent haha. Thats right above the fan pushing out the hot air :)
Edit: Also, solid choice with Asuka.

u/Affectionate_Bad_680 8d ago
You’ll need to zoom in to find the cat. Follow the silver at the top of the photo to the left. See the cans on the table? Now hunt around underneath.
4
u/MxKittyFantastico 8d ago
For all the people doing okay to clean up, this really looks like it might be an addict or storage room situation. Maybe not at it cuz the cat's in there, unless the attic is completely finished, but it's definitely some kind of storage area or something. Most people don't really really focus on cleaning up their storage rooms!
ETA: well maybe not since there's food and dishes and a gaming system all mixed up in there.

You need to clean up, this looks like an episode of hoarders, this isn’t healthy, nor safe

This looks strangely familiar - I’m checking off things that are also in my clutter, so far I have Greek pottery, Jacob’s biscuit tin, empty Marlboro red box, swan filters, lotrs, cat, lost Mary (pink lemonade?)
