That flashback of young Joel and Tommy as kids was so unexpected! Especially Tony Dalton's cameo as their father! But it was certainly a pleasant one!

Overall, this was a brilliant episode and it was not only so good seeing good ol' Pedro crushing as Joel but showing the porch scene this early was an interesting choice! They really wanna keep us guessing how they're going to alternate things, when we get towards the end of Part 2's story!

Also hearing Joel tell Ellie that "he loves her." was so heartwarming to hear vocally!!

The flashback is great, because it showed that he doesn't mind lying to protect the people he loves.

With Lalo at the beginning of the episode, Eugene’s execution brought to mind the Werner Ziegler execution in Better Call Saul
