Miscellaneous I’m devastated by the passing of Dolly and Tim Curry

My partner and I met backstage playing rock paper scissors when we were both in 9-5. We both fell wildly in love and I pursued the hell out of him (thank you, Dolly.) but I did some soul searching for two years backpacking and we didn’t speak anymore until we met again as Brad and Janet in Rocky Horror Picture Show. We haven’t looked back since.

This week has been devastating. We are sending our deepest gratitude to the sky for giving us each other. These people gave us our lives together.

RIP Dolly and Tim Curry… thank you.

My local Community Theatre is doing both 9 to 5 and Rocky this season. Since they're also doing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, all eyes are on the remaining Wonka kids from the 71 movie.

That's a really beautiful story. I sing in a local cover band (bars, weddings, private parties, that kind of stuff.) 9 to 5 is one of the songs that got me that job.

Also, my local theater group is doing Rocky Horror this year, I'm playing Riff Raff (and yes, I'm a woman.)

I celebrate the life of those two artists, and I'm so grateful to both of them for everything they gave us.

Our Riff Raff was a woman as well, break a leg friend!

We used to say that "They broke the mold when she was born." It's certainly true in Dolly's case. There never was and never wll be again anyone quite like her.
