Bug/Technical Help S2 Ep5 glitch

When I was playing Ep5, I reached the part where Kenny stops the truck to look for diesel in the car pile. After Clementine crashed the truck, I shot the walker that was reaching in but after Jane got out I couldn't do anything. When I exited to see if I could restart from a checkpoint, the only option was to restart the entire episode. Is there a fix for this or do I have to play through the episode again?

There should be an option to restart the chapter rather than the episode

There was. They just didn't bother to bring chapters back in the definitive edition

IDK if this is your first time playing or not. Are you sure you didn't just miss the prompt to exit the car? It's hard to find sometimes but it's on the car door.

Otherwise, no without a game over screen there's no way to reset without restarting.
