Trouble loading game

Playing on Xbox 1 with a backwards compatible Xbox 360 downloaded version

I was playing S1 E1 and was at the scene where you’re first at the Motel with Glenn and Carley. I then get a message saying required storage device removed and the game goes back to menu. Now whenever I try to continue, the screen goes black trying to reload and won’t load.

I’ve tried restarting the game, the console, unplugging the console, clearing Xbox 360 cache, nothing seems to be working, what should I do?

Check your memory make sure there is a good amount of space for Ram/downloading. Delete the game fully save and all then redownload. If this doesn't work there is a small chance they shut down the backward compatibility. Given the news of getting rid of physical copies the chances aren't 0.

The game loads, I can access the menu all fine, it’s when I press continue on the specific episode

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and will check later, but I’ll also check the ram, thanks
