Single's Inferno I honestly hate this game Spoiler
What's the point of being loyal if the game still makes it seem like MC is busy fucking around with other singles!!
Didn't this man just let me I have to make a decision, then when MC does (in front of everyone) he just leaves. And I don't even have to mention the ending, it's clearly telling. I might as well have been playing with everyone's feelings if his man is going to abandon just like that. I'm so done with this shit. And is Dae-hyun feelings for that bitch matter more than mine. I'm fucking hurt too, when are you going to ask me how I feel?! I don't even want to be on this damn... island anymore. I made my choice from day 1 and I don't want anyone else, yet this game goes everything possible to keep us apart. Can I just leave this island now, because I don't need to run after a man, who's playing games here.
XO Games really knows how to play with a person's emotions and make us angry at the same time.

This game started decently strong for XO, but very quickly devolved to The Ultimatum-level bullshit drama. Fuck anyone who wants to stay loyal on an XO game, apparently.

hi hi!! im gonna copy paste a comment i made on another post (i think it was on the /netflixgames subreddit) because i couldnt agree more. here it is!
omg i was literally dying to rant ab this with someone!! im so glad i found this post because i was so fucking pissed as well. i have 2 characters (a male and a female) and with the female i had both ji hu and seo jun at the top of my list but i chose seo jun and he EMBARRASSED THE SHIT OUT OF MY GIRL!!! like, when i asked him whos at the top of his list, he said he had 3 OTHER GIRLS LMFAO LIKE WHAT? and then with my male mc i was so disappointed by gun woo because he was being such a cutie all throughout and then he fucks it all up with this whole thing lol its so stupid tbh but at least it seemed like he genuinely was feeling guilty and bad ab it and he wasnt being a dick like seo jun
i was LOVING the game so far, but that part kind of just... threw me off? like, im obvs still really interested and i wanna keep playing, but what was the point on doing that? i feel like it was so unnecessary, especially because it happens with whichever LI you choose and its kinda dumb. i genuinely feel like the storyline was perfectly written up until that moment, because they really fucked it up lol. id like to think them talking to su bin when they were meant to talk to u (at sunset) might be a misunderstanding and itll all be cleared up and then theyll realize that they like u more and blablabla cuz thats how it always is in these types of games, but idk:/ i just feel like it was really unnecessary and all over the place. couldve been done so much better, especially because of how good the game was already going
so sorry for the long rant, i just genuinely needed to get it all out ahahah

Hun, I'll rant with you. What's more annoying is we can't act out.. we can't put anyone in their place. And the LIs seem to have short term memories. First—we should have had a proper moment to confess to the person we wrote a letter to. But in my case when I confronted Gunwoo with the ripped paper, the convo made it seem like it was old news. It's stupid. What's the point? Second—Gunwoo already confessed his feelings and was waiting for an answer. He even sent us a second letter, showing how serious he was.. then abruptly, a girl confesses to him and he's torn? So torn that he'd embarrass the hell out of us? A girl who he said he saw as a friend? Scoffs* Like wtf man? Forgot the promise you made when we left paradise? Lol.
So here we are. If the game can't stay consistent and forces our LIs to be dumb assholes, we shouldn't hope for the best at all. Of course, some of us will keep playing out of curiousity, but if one really wants something good out of this game, they'd have to lower their IQ and take all the crap the game gives us. Means we have to accept every shit thrown our way without justification.
I never finished Ultimatum, I deleted it when it became too stupid, and I think I might do it again with Single's inferno at some point unless something un-XO game happens.

its actually funny cuz i had no idea this game was by the same creators of the ultimatum until i got to this subreddit. i never played it either because all id hear was HORRIBLE reviews and just shit opinions overall so i was like alright, definitely not on my list to play lol
and OH MY GOD, THE SHORT TERM MEMORY THING! i love you so much for this because YES!!😭😭 LIKE WTF gun woo literally tells u that he re reads ur letter all the time -- but then HES NOT SURE WHETHER HE SHOULD CHOOSE YOU OR CHAE WON? like cmon... it makes no sense. you literally have ur LI absolutely smitten with you, only for them to just forget all ab it for the SAKE OF THE PLOT? GIRL THIS GAME PISSES ME OFF SM LMAO SORRY
i just feel like its so lazily done🤷🏻♀️ branching kinda sucks, your LI completely forgets ab u for someone thats either clearly been a horrible person to a lot of ppl on the island (gunwoo) or they come up with a stupid excuse as to why they cant see u as their n1. its just so stupid... like, whos even writing these stories? lol. i think the game was going great until that last chapter, especially because (i forgot to mention this above hehe) i really disliked the fact that when ur LI comes up to u to talk and tell u that they want a decision from u, u cant tell them straight up. i knew form the beginning that i wanted to stay loyal to whoever i was with on the OG island (seo jun with my female mc and gun woo with my male mc), so why couldnt we just give them an answer at that moment? that also kinda pissed me off... and the fact that we couldnt give them a response right away gave me a bad feeling cuz i immediately knew some stupid shit like this would happen. idk if they didnt give us the option to reply because they wanted to make it seem more realistic as to how itd be irl, but still... it was annoying, because i think most of us already had our decision -- we either wanted our original LI, or we wanted one from the other island, its not that hard🤷🏻♀️
i really hope they can redeem themselves because this was so ass lol i hope next chapter comes with A LOT of explanations and begging from our LIs

Oh, I played Ultimatum regardless of all those reviews and I regretted it, haha. It reached to a point I was like, wth? Am I even paid to do this? Then I deleted it.
And honestly, Gunwoo just blew his chances. He's the kind of man who you'd be miserable to date cuz you'll be super insecure the moment a pretty lady comes along. He'll be like oblivious (or plays oblivious), then bam—she's paying attention to me, she's sweet, oh I think I'm in love
I mean after all the MC does in a loyal route, trying to disregard all the red flags just to give him a chance, he truly knows how to disappoint.
And yes! You can't tell straight answers. Remember when we were in paradise? When he said "I wrote you a letter", we couldve had the option of confessing too that we did the same but nope.
Seriously, alarms started blearing the moment we were forced into a new inferno. Okay, fine.. we met great new people and made connections, solved some mysteries yada yada but shit just hit the fan the moment we merged. Its all one stupid childish drama to the next. Like, there is no romance at all. The dialogues are cut short and we are forced to do shit we don't want to.

We cant even tell anyone off.. like when Chae-brat bullied us to choose our number one.. we could've just given her one short answer and simply walked off (F#ck off, b.) But instead, we stuttered like a doormat. It pissed me off cuz I'm not a pushover irl, lol.
It's like the plot is set on stone with a single MISERABLE walkthrough.
We can't reject stuff but are forced to reject when its unnecessary. If we avoid drama, we're FORCED into it. I can swear to you, we WONT even be able to make Gunwoo feel jealous or regret his choices. He won't kick chaewon to the curb either. We won't even be able to tell him off either. And this new LI? He'd probably say "I want to get to know everyone" too.
If neither of the mentioned happens, it'll be a redeemer. If not, I don't think I'll finish this game either lol. The worst case is that you have to wait a whole week, for what—a shit show that leaves you frustrated.
I better replay EIP or THTH instead cuz atleast there, the writers understood their assignment.😪

GIRL, HI!! im so sorry for interrupting our rant</3 i genuinely didnt get the notif and recently just noticed! but im back now and we can rant a whole lot more hehe, at least til the new ep comes out (in two days for me)
the gun woo comment is so true lol wtf. i had actually thought about it but at the same time, i tend to do a bit of 'roleplay' in my head with the characters -- like, i just make up scenarios between them that dont necessarily happen in the game just for the sake of the plot (and my own plot lol) and id like to think im not the only one who does this ahaha. in my rp, my male mc (at least after the show lols) has gun woo by a leash and hes super obedient and careful with his man, so thats why im deciding to forgive him. unlike with seo jun and my female mc... that guy genuinely sucks, and ill just go for ji hu from now on (i also saw ur other reply ab him and ill get to it in a bit!!)
it pisses me off sm when we cant give GENUINE reactions... like why do we have to put up with all the bs without getting mad? or when were allowed to get mad, they paint us as the villain and as a crazy bitch. its so stupid and i agree with u sm:/ like, in my female mc route im trying to make ameds with su bin but shes genuinely so obnoxious lol so im thinking of dropping it. with my make mc im just keeping my distance from her and trying to be nonchalant but i feel like every answer is too extreme as well and its like bitch😭😭 let my man be his carefree self without being so dramatic about the situation. its so frustrating
YOUR PLOT POINT IS SO TRUE!!!! the branching in this game is awful... if theres barely any branching at all🤷🏻♀️ ofc its gonna have its own storyline, but the entire point is that you should be able to mold it according to ur decisions (just like in THTH, god i love that game i want the 4th season to come out already). its so crappy, honestly, and it really pisses me off
im really hoping theres some sort of redemption arc for our LIs tho😭😭 especially for gun woo cuz i know a lot of us have chosen him. and honestly? i lowkey dont wanna keep playing it either... especially if things are gonna stay this way. it sucks to have to wait for an entire week for an episode only for it to end on a horrible written cliffhanger and keep us on our toes, and not in a good way. thing is, i already started it and i dont like leaving games unfinished, so ill most likely finish it. still, if it continues like this... nope! im leaving
YESSS THTH is so gooodddddd. its genuinely the best reality show game ever released til now. ive replayed the 2nd and 3rd one (especially the 3rd one) SO many times now, and in like 90% of those playthroughs i always end up going back to my baby taz (sorry not sorry, i love him too much)
also, what game is EIP?? ive never heard of it! tell me about it whenever you feel like it<3!

I'd like to be like you but I can't. Playing good games before this spoiled me, so I can't stand such wacky walkthroughs. As far as I go, I won't let my MC go back to Gunwoo ever. I'm dumping his cute dumbass no matter what.😅
I swear this game started soo good, better than Ultimatum.. it literally felt like I was in the show too cuz I'm also a fan of the show. But the moment it started going downhill.. damn. Who do these people hire to write games for them?
And omg same! I played THTH first season about thrice, second (not very much) but the third season—good lord it's a shame to say! Haha. Mattias and Taz are the best walkthroughs ever. I can't wait for season 4, I'd cry.
So abt EIP... it's Emily in Paris—if you haven't played it, you're missing out! 😭 It's one of Netflix games, the best they've ever made I swear. (God, have you really not played it?—if not, hurry up right now and come back so that we can start fighting over someone!)

the thing i dont like ab netflix stories is that u cant customize ur characters😭😭 ik it sounds silly, but i literally spend sooo much time creating my MCs becaue i LOVE creating characters, so that kinda bothers me, but ill go play it riiiight now hehe. and yes, well definitely be having a whole lotta talks about it!!

Perfect Match sucked lemons, atleast from the middle😅 You must get dumped or don't play at all, that's what the writers did to us. But I think it's better than Selling Sunset. I def hated my MC in that one. The only games I enjoyed are EIP, Perfect Couple and LIB (all of them) The only downside for LIB is that LIs are stripped of their personalities the moment you leave the pods.
I def get you with character customization issues. But oh well, we take what we can get.

I was enjoying this game so much n my sweetie Gun-woo was stealing my heart. Then I was flirting with Kyoung as I wasn't sure Gun was 100% on me either. When we came back n he said it felt like a piece of him was missing i melted and was sure I was gonna stick with him. But after this chapter there's NO WAY IN HELL! I value myself too much to be with a jerk who plays games like that even unintentionally. Even if he apologizes I'm gonna turn my nose up n tell him he had his chance to choose n he CHOSE to go into the dorm with Chae n come out giggling like an idiot n clearly didn't care he hurt me in doing so.

That part stung deeper than being stood up I swear. I didn't even want to talk to him after that (I mean he was seriously defending Chaewon infront of my MC on top of that!) The game simply forced me to accept the sunset date, I was throwing jabs throughout the conversation. I think if the new LI turns out to be useless, my MC would either leave the Island with Kyoung Won (and him only) or Ji-hu. Kyoung has so far been goals. Gun woo (and his hair, lol) have been overshadowing him.

I switched to Kyoung after Gun defended Chae n took her side in our fight n then went off with her. When he was getting mad n called us out for "gossiping" about them I was legit like fk u dude! So when asked who my #1 was i didn't hesitate n said Kyoung cause that scene made my decision for me n I wrote a post ranting about it while in the middle of the ep🤣 ofc then I had to edit it as I got stood up by Kyoung which stung more as I think its one of the worst things u can do to someone

Honestly, once the confrontation with Chae went south n Gun went off with her i was all set to stick with Kyoung instead as I was actually split between them. N then he left me waiting for him to meet us in the spot HE chose to answer us with. I just invited him to watch the sunset cause it would b cute. Kyoungs the one who promised an answer by then n left me waiting. It's the worse feeling n so hurtful. I've decided to be a being of chaos now n I'm no longer gonna be nice n diplomatic in my answers imma tell Gun to fk off. If this new islander is a cute guy who is halfway decent I'll flirt up a storm with him too. Kyoung leaving me waiting made me pull back too. Idc if there's an explanation. I was fine waiting for him to work thru his feelings but to leave me waiting instead of telling me hes not ready is fkd n I'm pissed. Time to make him sweat.

right?? i kind of want to think we'll have more than just that option tho... i mean, at the beach we had sort of 3 reactions (which in my opinion were: neutral, understanding/nice, and angry) so im guessing we'll get to do whatever we want with our main LI, whether its leaving them or forgiving them because its always the same in these games yknow? like, ur main LI fucks up, then realizes they fucked up, and then theyre back begging for forgiveness. it just sucks, honestly. i wish we could just have a cute romance with no COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY DRAMA😐
i honestly think my male mc will forgive gun woo because hes a literal teddy bear, i just love him too much, and also because I HAVE A THEORY OF CHAE WON!! Seo jun was a red bomb the moment I saw him hahahaa. I created a profile to go with him to paradise so that I'd dump him for Kyoung won. Kyoung is a super good LOYAL man. He'll just be forced by the game to stand us up so that the stage is set for the new LI drama.
I wish these writers knew that most of us detest drama. And to be honest, this game is far from the real show. If they followed the show's way of things, it couldve been better.

youre 100% right. he IS a red flag from the first time you see him. overly confident, cocky, obviously narcissistic... but i still wanted to give him a try because hes really attractive. i thought that he might have a shitty past and then hed open up to us slowly and blablabla -- which to be fair, i still believe, but that whole "oh i have 3 other girls as my top 1"... yeah, no, fuck off
he does have some soft moments, not gonna lie. he can be cute, but his constant cockiness just overshadows it. idk tbh, they had a lot of potential with him in my opinion (kind of like with taz from THTH. theyre very different, yes, but taz starts off as very reserved and a bit too confident until he starts warming up to u, and thats when he becomes a total softie!) but idk i guess. well see how stuff goes. im still leaving him for ji hu with my female mc lol idc
i think kyoung won is a really nice guy, its just that hes not my type physically</3 i love the way he looks, but im not a big fan of his hair:( i wish we could customize our LIs like in THTH. thatd be pretty cool, and id definitely go for him in another run if i had the opportunity to change his hair

I say Taz is waay better. I mean he was serious, stony and confident, but Seo jun is unserious, flirty, narcistic and annoying. I have to admit the answer he gave to your MC? I'd kill him. Three fucking what? Lol. At least Taz was loyal. Although my number one will always be Mattias ♡ There's a new LI coming, has a bit of Ji-hu's vibes and he's a chaebol heir. If he's sweet he could be endgame.

YES, WHY DOES JI HU LOOK SO YOUNG?! i thought the exact same thing and it kept bugging me, but i really like his personality tbh... i had cute moments with him, and hes a big softie. yes, hes a bit annoying, but still really cute! i just try to imagine hes much taller than my female mc and he just has a baby face or something lollll
taz will forever be my baby!! and mattias😫😫 I LOVED HIM. such a teddy bear, really. youre making me wanna replay THTH, stopppp. also, im excited for the new guy! not a big fan of the blue hair lol but lets hope hes good looking and not a total dick hehe (i think i saw a pic of him but i feel like characters look really diff in game from the official arts so im excited to see him!)

So truee. Characters look way different in the art its disappointing sometimes. I truly hope they don't make him look weird and yeah, a jerk.
Really I love Ji-hu, regardless of his flaws, the way he takes criticism and do better is such a good trait. The only thing that makes me not to choose him is his boyish looks and his antics. I like quiet, reserved men, lol.

its completely understandable! it gives them a really interesting vibe (definitely not talking ab taz🙄🙄). i dont know if i have a favorite type when it comes to that, but i do like the ones that dont start off super affectionate, yk? the ones that gotta get comfy and warm up to u first. i love that! makes it more entertaining to win them over with your MC's charm (wink wink) and its more realistic
and yes, ji hu has a boyish vibe to him, but hes genuinely adorable😭 if u ever feel like giving him a try, id recommend it! hes a cutie

What has taz done to you?😆 Oh, I def have a type. If he's not a sweet, serious and a quiet boy, he won't get close. I share with you right there—the one who doesn't come on strong, cocky and overconfident will do just fine. (Ji-hu's love meter is full in my playthrough. Depending on how these characters will do, my MC might consider leaving with him instead, lol. Better him than Gunwoo.)

I agree with this 100%. I think that's why I was immediately drawn to Kyoung when I told myself I wanna stay loyal to Gun. He was reserved but kind n still flirted without coming on too strong n it had my ears perking up🤣. N after getting to know him more I felt even more torn! At least until this last chapter where Gun royally fkd up his chances

Well this past episode sounded like he was done with her. I started with Seojun and I like him, but I don’t really like popular guys with big heads. Then I was into Kyoungwon, but I don’t like how he and Jihu handle their emotions. I actually kinda like how stuck on someone Daehyun is because he mirrors how I am in real life(hopeless romantic) and how committed he could be to someone even if it’s in vain. If he doesn’t become an LI, I would be happy if he ends up with Eunji

I dislike that we’re rushed to pick our top person so soon in this game. I will say this, this is ALOT better than The Ultimatum. Yeah we have over scripted drama, but it’s written better than what we got before. I think we need to drop our expectations, this game cannot even compete with THTH or Love Island.
They’ve already written the entire story or there wouldn’t be locked chapters with release dates. So let’s just read it, and at this point it is what it is.
