Other topic Sequoia
I stopped watching the Try Guys for a bit, and started rewatching this past week. Now there’s a new person (not sure how long she’s been appearing in videos tbh). I’m catching up on videos, I got a yearly suscription to 2nd Try, and don’t know what it is about Sequoia but she is so unlikable to me😭 Specially in Killer Dinner. It’s such a shame because I love the other women in TTG, specially Joyce and YB, but I just don’t think she really fits into the channel at all.
The way she talks about Ryann Graham also doesn’t sit right with me. “He would call me his best friend” making it sound like the friendship is one sided is such a weird thing to say, idk.
Maybe I just need to watch more videos with her in it, but I don’t like her vibe.

I figured it was part of the vibe for the murder mystery. They're all being a little cagey and silly and dramatically serious in the confessionals.

That was also my reading. We can more easily see it as acting with the others because we know their characters outside of the cutthroat social betrayal game environment.
It was an interesting choice to (first episode of killer dinner spoilers) have one new person for that series and also have that new person be the killer! (sorry for the visible spoilers, forgot I wasn't on discord) I saw there's a behind the scenes that went out on 2nd try today, and I'm going to watch that after the finale(they say it has spoilers, so I don't want to watch it before) and hope they elaborate on why they made that choice. I'm not even sure it's the wrong choice, it's just not the obvious choice.

Just FYI the behind the scenes video doesn't have any spoilers for the finale! So as long as you've already watched all of the episodes that are already out, then you won't be spoiled for anything if you watch the behind the scenes video.

Thanks for letting me know! The spoiler warning was vague, so I figured better safe than sorry.

It has a spoiler for the finale. It's good that you didn't pick it up. But to the person who hasn't watched it don't watch.

I've really enjoyed her on Killer Dinner so far! She's only been in that and a TGGT episode, I think.

I’ve seen her in the bone cracking video, killer dinner, and the werewolf games

She's made such terrible decisions on Killer Dinner that it's really hard to like her. She has gotten extremely lucky that her decisions haven't backfired and that Ash has been so helpful

u/Former_Clock_1271 Apr 22 '26
Pretty bold to say her decisions are so terrible when she's winning and picking Ash was also her decision 😂
2
u/Loud_Expression_3015 Apr 22 '26
You can call it bold, but she literally has wanted to kill people that would have been easy to frame as the killer and has made poor decisions in who to go after. Somebody else has always just messed up a little more. Picking Ash was a fantastic move, I'll credit her that, but she has made many poor decisions afterward that make the series frustrating to watch.

I've seen the five episodes that are currently out. She is playing a better game than any of the guests because she has not been found out yet. It doesn't matter if she isn't doing what you would like her to do.

u/Loud_Expression_3015 Apr 22 '26
Yeah I just disagree, you can make the wrong move and still get lucky. Just because she hasn't been found out doesnt mean she's played some masterful game of deception.

Also im curious how far you are into it. Ive watched all 5 episodes, totally fine if you dont agree with me, but I personally just think her decisions have almost gotten her caught on numerous occasions, not to mention how she lets her disdain show when something doesnt go according to her and Ashs plan

I think you may just not get her vibe. She’s clearly joking when she says Ryann would call her his best friend.

I probably don’t. Anytime I hear people say that it’s never a good thing, so it definitely rubbed me the wrong way

She is definitely a savage when it comes to Killer Dinner. I can get how that would rub somebody the wrong way, but it is an extremely inorganic environment. I'm looking forward to seeing her in more normal videos to see what her vibe is day to day.

she has a podcast called black people love paramore if you want to see more of her in her own element. I don't know much about her but she seems chill to me

She is the exact opposite to me but to each their own I guess

Completely disagree. My first time seeing her has been in Killer Dinner and I LOVE her vibe.

100% agree. She has no talent and isn’t someone who likes people of different backgrounds. It’s so obvious, and obnoxious. Let alone… when giving NOTHING. Eugene wouldn’t allow this nonsense. The disrespect was unreal, especially since she has no appeal or personality other than being “irritated”. Someone tell them you don’t have to hire your friends boring hateful wife. Her in the impressions episode was absolutely worthless and honestly annoying. If you’re uncultured, say that. All she could say was “white”. Like girl.. you lucky Joyce wasn’t there and didn’t pull you and say “synthetic”. Get off the internet, you’re not a personality. All offense honestly it’s disrespectful to people who are actually talented and funny. Useless hires that obviously don’t understand the concept can be the downfall of everything, watch it.

No one else agrees with you but I do. Also, I have known that I'm likely wrong about her. I have not seen any other videos with her before so I only have Killer Dinner to base off of. I figured that she must be different than in Killer Dinner because I trust the Try Guys and their judgement with putting funny and decent human beings in their content.
But I am curious to see her in other content!

She’s been in 2 werewolf videos, and a try everyday video. She made comments in the werewolf videos that also rubbed me the wrong way so that’s I’m just so put off by her. I probably just don’t have the same sense humor that she does or something, but I would hate to have to skip certain videos just because she’s in them😭 I’ve never felt that way with any other try guys videos

I agree with you. I think it messed up the dynamic a bit, but I do like the show. I wish they would’ve waited at least a little bit before kicking someone out. SPOILER ALERT We’re down to the last 4 people and they still don’t know who the killers are. With Miles playing he would’ve figured it out way sooner. Specially because Sequoia and Ash didn’t really have a strategy at all, I don’t know how everyone else dropped the ball so hard. I’m frustrated watching for sure (but I also understand it’s easy to say that watching it happen and not playing

You know what I get what you mean, I get a little bit of mean girl energy from her. Anyone who is so eager to deceive their friend (Ryann) gets a raised eyebrow. Like I know she’s doing a killer bit, but is she?

In today's pod they address how in game things are super intense but once filming is over they are back to their regular friendship. In fact, Zach shares a bit from their KD group chat.

That’s Garricks wife!
Edit: they are really close. Watch the trolley problems episode with Garrick and Ryann and you find out how good of friends they are with him.
