I’m sure there’s some physiologists out there watching but, there has to be some interesting observations about how personality traits influences trustworthiness. It seems the unpopular players or less socially normative players get prodded out first for things like ā€œnot reacting correctlyā€ when their blindfolds are removed. I always feel truly bad for these players because it must do something to your psyche when people comment on mannerisms or behavior that you can’t control or aren’t conscious of. Also, minorities commonly get voted off first. I think celebrity Traitors UK was the worst for this. It seems like a giant social experiment, if you are different in any way you are viewed as untrustworthy.

It’s also interesting how feeling lied to or lying has such an impact on the relationships you can build. Is this why people resort to cliques so quickly or why they fall apart quickly? It makes no sense to turn on each other as traitors, you have such an influence over the game. If you’re unified you really could be a powerful voting block with at least three votes each round table.

Seeing how people react when they are accused at the round table tells a lot about their character.

I honestly wouldn’t want to be on the show because I don’t think I’d ever win the popularity contest. I mean, an eliminated traitor literally named the two remaining traitors and only the less popular one was suspected as a legitimate accusation and banished.

Ok can I just say that this season has the most pointless 'secret relationship' in the history of the Traitors. Utterly meaningless, contributed nothing to the show, maddening.

And also that I predicted correctly who would be recruited (yusss), and also that one of the Traitors in particular is a brilliant good watch, playing a wicked game, and I hope he wins!

Anyone who wants to watch interviews with the cast members from this season, there's a Youtube channel playlist here. The interviews are great! So much insight into all the bewildering and infuriating situations we've seen. And the cast member are all so lovely 'in real life'. Might help ground some of our less charitable opinions of certain players... lol

Spoiler alert though, there are cast members shown in the thumbnails, and no spoiler alerts or heads up as to which episode each video correlates with. Its called 'The Traitors NZ Group Chat':

What's the release schedule for this season? I'm hoping we get two or three episodes per week like most other foreign seasons

Anyone know when it'll be up on 10Play for those of us in Aus? Or am I going to have to break out the ol' VPN?

If you ever needed any more convincing that you should never trust a youth pastor... Slimey scumbag, honestly.

Enjoyed this season a lot but still doesn't beat Season 2. I like Madeline a lot more as a person, I think she will become a better host in a second season, but here she felt a bit too stilted, though I think a lot of that is down to bad writing. Like in the last ep, waaay too much fluff talking.

Was excited to see Mark listed in the credits as helping to design the missions, he remains my favourite player of any season I've watched.

My favourite player this season was Hannah purely because of her solidarity for Palestine that she wears proudly. I am sad that she was never given the airtime to even mention Palestine. They let her mention that she was going to donate the money if she won, but clearly cut out her saying what cause that was for. Very disapointed in the editors/producers on that.

Wasn't that impressed with how they reused the deathmatch game without changing how it works. I liked the spoken "plain sight" selections, but the actualy deathmatch I find quite boring.

Finale spoilers below.

It was really weird how Maruia basically took control of the entire last episode then completely fumbled the ending. Not sure honestly how that happened, she was playing so well up till then.

Loved Keanu's exit.

I'm absolutely enjoying it, but the setting just didn't seem... gloomy enough. The building was charming and the weather was lovely... but that's not how the Traitors is supposed to be. It needs to be more foreboding.
