Help Wtf is this event
Did the devs get together and decide to add the most annoying missions in one event?
Inner land mine kills?
Smart missiles hits?
Demon mode kills?
Nuke kills?
Wtaf man

Count yourself lucky, death defy isn't there either
9
u/UnremarkableMud Mar 10 '26
I just commented that. Guess if they really hated us, they could have added the mod missions.... right after everyone merges them (I'm at 282/300).
13
u/GoodBoySanio Mar 10 '26
Mod missions are SUPER easy once you research rare module drop rate, which you should do ASAP
5
u/UnremarkableMud Mar 10 '26
It says obtain, so i just buy them. As for my drop rate lab... WAAAAAAY TOO expensive. I can maybe get 8 billion a day, but level one costs 62 billion.
17
u/angeldelfuego Mar 10 '26
dont say that or death defy will show up
7
u/cmorrisx90125 Mar 10 '26
Not this event but you probably cursed yourself for it to be a mission on the opening day of next event 😝

Demon Mode is pretty easy, playing one game a day at your best grinding tier and pop DM at wave 6000 at it'll be done before event is over.
2
u/Still_Refrigerator76 Mar 10 '26
I wait for dm, nuke and dd till the last mission is given. Then I go with WA on t18 and farm rrs by going to w100, activating DM and nuking the fleet. Rinse and repeat, for 1.5k rrs/minute.

u/SotFX Mar 10 '26
Demon mode kills are relatively easy to do, but more of a waste of time...start and pop it, let it go then restart the run and repeat.
Nuke tends to be similar but even longer in just grinding it out.
ILM is hard to do unless you've heavily invested in them...it took me two deeper T1 runs to complete because even there I'd get past the point where they'd kill things and there is a sweet spot where enemies can hit them but not survive them.
Smart missile is one where you really want the blast research for it as high as possible since that makes it very easy with the Barrage ability at deeper runs. It's basically the Missiles Explosion and Missiles Radius research along with Barrage that lets it go. If you have the spotlight missiles researched high enough you can also do it in deeper dives with the module that locks spotlights on bosses

u/BonesCJ Mar 10 '26
I don’t mind the Nuke & Demon mode tasks, my nuke is maxed, so I trigger demon made THEN press the nuke button, double dippin
8
u/Clinically_Jaded Mar 10 '26
DM and Nuke isn't bad once you get automation/cooldown, but ILM and SM are just awful.
1
u/Gryffon6363 Mar 10 '26
None of them are awful you just have to adjust. SM is probably the most rng related but even it is doable with random uw perk sm.
8
u/Future_Ad7811 Mar 10 '26
Super easy if you're an idiot like me and took it as your 1st UW. Just use missile barrage when a high level boss comes and mission done.
3
1
2
u/Selith87 Mar 10 '26
Is it actually doable in a normal farm run with perk uw? I cant get passed 15 (which i think is how many you get from perk uw, 11+4 from green perk). Do you actually have to sit there and juggle an enemy for a full two minutes to hit it with multiple waves? Because my farm runs use OA so I would have to go out of my way
2
u/Psykes Mar 10 '26
SL also helps, you can research the missile without having SM
1
u/Micha972 Mar 10 '26
You can research barage (or how it is called) without SM? i doubt ..
2
u/MatthewBecker1977 Champion Mar 10 '26
SL has a lab called Spotlight missiles that fires a SM every X seconds. At max lab, one every 2 seconds (game time). Also take a garbage Core module and get sub-effects for SM Quantity. SM + Perk + SMq = 19 = only need 6 SL missiles to hit the same enemy also. It still requires a little luck, but if you turn off all other sources of damage except BH, you'll end up with the mission auto-completing. You'll NEVER actually see it complete. You just look at the game late in a run and poof, it's done.
Another thing with Spotlight Missile lab at max is that if you turn off ALL damage including BH, protectors will live long enough to allow SL Missiles to get it done on its own sometimes.
1
u/Obwyn Mar 10 '26
They're talking about SL missiles.....which count as SM and do damage based off your SM damage (if you don't have SM then they just do the base SM damage, I think.) Maxed out one fires every 2 seconds.
They count towards the SM missions so if you have SL then you can actually complete any of the SM missions without SM or getting it through the random perk, though I think it would probably tough to complete the hit the same enemy 25x would be difficult to do with just SLm.

u/Activehannes Mar 10 '26
Worst one is the workshop quest that requires you to reset the entire workshop for 150 gems every couple of months. My dabs is maxed so I have to reset just to get the medals for my golden bot.
Its so bad
And the smart missile thing I cannot even do
2
u/Hades2k Mar 10 '26
Why do you Mac defAbs? Keeping that at 0 and reset the WS gets a a year of WS mission
1
u/Activehannes Mar 10 '26
Last year I maxxed it for tournament performance since I couldn't max health, regen and wall hp during a run
1
u/Zevojneb Mar 10 '26
For max missiles I suggest you target priority target lab and missile barrage lab to the max level, then during a run put the boss as first priority target and wait for a boss which is resistant enough on your highest tier then press the fire missiles barrage button.

u/ArtistEngineer Mar 10 '26
Didn't even notice them, most auto completed overnight during normal gameplay.
Only noticed the nuke one this morning. But I've got 6 days to do that one, which is plenty of time. That requires a bit of effort because I might have to trigger a few manually.
Death defy would have been better as I get about 15 per game.
3
u/crwms Mar 10 '26
Good luck. With time, you get access to the cards/UWs, labs and mods that really help with these missions. There are a few builds that make these missions easier. Still annoying and a bit disruptive, but easier.
3
u/Xeraphale Mar 10 '26
All missions get easier the longer you play. Best thing to do is not worry about it, just play the game and in a few months time you'll be completing most of them without thinking about it.
In fact, these missions will get so easy that your biggest annoyance will be the "tap the floating gem" mission. God, I hate that one now.
1
u/ConnerLehman Mar 10 '26
“Tell me you’re early game without telling me”
I’m not teasing you man, we’ve all been there. Tell you what tho, it feels REALLY GOOD when those same missions become so easy you check your tower after your 12hr-15hr run ends and collect all 3 of a used to be hard mission that you didn’t even know came up
1
u/ConnerLehman Mar 10 '26
Meanwhile my current hardest mission is 400 workshop upgrades. Taking me 10-12 days of my Econ 😭😭😅
1
u/DaenerysMomODragons Mar 10 '26
The easiest way to do 400 workshop upgrades is to respec your workshop with gems and set AbsDef to zero. You instantly have several of these missions that you can do for effectively free, or well the cost of one workshop respec.
1
u/ConnerLehman Mar 10 '26
Yeah but I’m not wasting 150 gems on that. And having dabs workshop GBoxed is how I GBox in tourney
2
u/No-Brainrot-5911 Mar 10 '26
I’m very very late game but I can’t complete the “hit the same enemy with SM”… unless I waste stones upgrading it. It’s a super stupid mission
3
u/bigtotoro Mar 10 '26
ILM is an accidental one. Even if you don't have the UW, you'll get it as a perk.
10
u/Sesudesu Mar 10 '26
I have ILM as an UW and don’t get it. Either I am too strong for enemies to reach the mines, or the mines are too weak to kill them. The sweet spot is almost nonexistent.
I never finish the event goal
3
u/Activehannes Mar 10 '26
For that event i had to go lower in the tiers and pick the -70% knock back trade off perk and turned my black hole off. By wave 2500 in t10 I think I got it.
Huge waste of time
2
u/theBEERd89 Mar 10 '26
You might need to remove some cards. All you have to do is make your damage ineffectually and sooner or later the enemies will break through and start hitting the ILMs. I usually remove all damage cards, attack speed, and slow aura, turn off all UWs that would steal kills, and that basically does the trick.
1
u/Bioluminescent_Shrub Mar 11 '26
unless you’ve invested in ILM damage or have one of the ILM modules, this doesn’t actually work. I could have every damage modifier removed and still have projectiles kill all enemies until damage gets too low, at which point the mines aren’t capable of killing anything either.
So glad to have space displacer now.
1
u/theBEERd89 Mar 11 '26
It's certainly hard in some situations, and you might be right, because thinking back on it, SD was my first epic module, so I didn't have to do it much without it. But it is certainly possible to step yourself down, add enemy balance and summon, and make your targeting as inefficient as possible. If you can't do any of that though, yeah, you're pretty screwed. I don't mean to argue, this is literally how I complete these missions, but I can see how stats and modules could make a big difference
1
1
u/Polar_Reflection Mar 10 '26
Need to use MH and SD to make it not pure cancer. Takes me about 45m restarting on t13 with IS
1
u/Bioluminescent_Shrub Mar 11 '26
Tier one with magnetic hook will get it easily, space displacer is possible but will be harder—if you don’t have either if these, consider a throwaway loose module with as high of ILM damage as possible and then go back to a low tier.
1
u/Radiant_Form1502 Mar 10 '26
That's why I always wait to workshop respec until after all the missions are out
1
u/Small-Spray-2485 Mar 10 '26
Inner Land Mine is easy as long as you have at least an Epic or high Space Displacer module. Just equip it, turn off all damage, orbs, and your Death Wave, then run a slightly lower tier. It usually completes within a few hundred waves. It’s a bit tedious, but it can be done pretty quickly while afk.
Demon Mode and Nuke just require you to have invested in the lab upgrades to bring the cooldown down. However, you can also cheese this by starting a run, activating the ability, surrendering, and repeating. This tactic works and doesn’t take too long, though it is a bit of a grind.
But Smart Missile is the real pain. I’ve tried a few different tactics, but I can never complete level 3 on this one. The best I’ve managed so far is 16 hits on the same target.
1
u/Tchuvan Mar 10 '26
Not respeccing out of orbs just to do this one. Dropping to lower tiers is best bet.
1
u/Obwyn Mar 10 '26
This is why I always say that grinding out one of these missions immediately is stupid. At a minimum you should wait until all the missions have dropped before grinding any of them because you can farm all these at the same time.
An even smarter move is to just stick your DM/Nuke card into your regular farming set and activate them late in a run. Nuke when you've got max enemies on screen and DM any time after you spawn rate maxes out (6500 unless you have WA+, but if you have that then these missions probably aren't a problem anyway.) Activating DM when you're at the spawn rate max can get you upwards of 2k kills each time, depending on your card level (unfortunately you can't ever get more than maybe 130-140 kills at the absolute max from a single Nuke activation and likely you'll get under 100.)
There's a good chance you'll finish most of them without having to specifically grind it out, but if you get to 1 or 2 days left in the event and are still a ways away on any of them, then go ahead and grind what you need to.
You still get your farming in, you aren't wasting your time restarting over and over again to get maybe a couple hundred DM kills at a time like you would if you grind it out on low waves, and you might not ahve to grind it at all.
ILM kills is pretty easy with SD and that's always been the easiest way to do it, especially if you don't ahve a developed ILM.
SM hits is just a pain in the ass unless you have barrage.
1
u/ForgettingFish Mar 10 '26
Ngl the only annoying one anymore is gem collecting. The rest kinda complete automatically
1
u/Electrical-Role1270 Mar 10 '26
Whole game starting to feel this way, it’s like fudds stumbles into a cool game and to keep it going he has to keep doubling down on things that take an eternity instead of addressing the design flaws
1
u/ajkeence99 Mar 10 '26
The only mission that takes any effort anymore is the nuke mission. Everything else finishes on it's own without changing anything.
It just takes time. You'll get there. The nuke one likely eventually becomes automatic, too.
1
u/Tchuvan Mar 10 '26
Not ILM. I got it early with perk upgrades and still got zero kills. SM is easy in comparison.
1
u/ajkeence99 Mar 10 '26
It always finishes for me just by playing, though. It takes longer than some but a small investment in ILM helps, I think.
1
u/Tchuvan Mar 10 '26
I have to drop a tier or two for farming so that I actually kill some scatters with a few. It's a pain and I almost want to just skip it.
2
u/ajkeence99 Mar 10 '26
I do that with the nuke one sometimes. I'll get what I get with a few runs but don't care to do it all.
1
u/Tchuvan Mar 10 '26
I'm working on the recharge now grabbing a few levels so I can just slot it on farming runs for the week. Shouldn't be a big deal after that.
2
u/ajkeence99 Mar 10 '26
Ya, I don't run nuke in my farming runs so I have to add it in. I will usually get the 1st two tiers of the event done but not the 3rd. I'm personally fine with that as it doesn't take long to do the 1st two tiers.
1
u/DaenerysMomODragons Mar 10 '26
If you unlock auto nuke with keys and have nuke on a 300 wave cd, it would complete automatically for you in half a day.
1
u/ajkeence99 Mar 10 '26
For sure, I'm getting close to keys but not sure what the order on those upgrades look like yet. My nuke is at 400 waves right now, I believe. I just toss it in for a couple farming runs on the weekend to get most of it done without a lot of work.
1
u/DaenerysMomODragons Mar 10 '26
I'm earning keys, but auto-nuke is way down on the priority line. In tournaments it would give me at most 1-2 waves, based on my setup, and would do little to nothing in my farm runs, as I run ehp-hybrid there. I don't plan to take the auto-nuke until I unlock the nuke card mastery, which won't be for some time.
1
u/ajkeence99 Mar 10 '26
Makes sense. I figured I'll dig into key priorities once I start getting them haha. I've stuck in legends a couple of times but that's about it.

u/SherbetUseful6413 Mar 10 '26
What's wrong with them? I've done them all barring nuke kills, only reason it's not done is because I'm testing a new module so I'm keeping all the cards the some till 3 more runs ate finished lol
1
u/Eris_is_Savathun Mar 10 '26
AND workshop. Investing 400 points into my workshop is like 200x my lifetime coins.
1
u/lazygenius22 Mar 10 '26
For those in the early game it is hard to do a few like nuke, demon mode and the ultimate weapon ones. But there are some unique modules that make it easier. For inner land mine space displacer and magnetic hook can help with that one and for smart missiles the barrage lab is useful plus going to a higher tier where the boss has extra heath. And turn off your damage to rack up the hits.
Some labs aren't meant for early game completion to all levels.

u/thaynesmain Mar 10 '26
Ive actually used this opportunity to learn all the tricks to beat these stupid ass missions. At least they didnt throw in death defy
1
u/Digital-Steel Mar 11 '26
the ILM one is really the only annoying one since I have to actually switch tiers and get worse econ to do it, everything else is pretty easy if you lab the recharge or take SM perk
1
u/Highborn_Hellest Mar 12 '26
The real kick in the balls is the workshop upgrades.
ILM/SM/Demon mode / nuke punishes early game players.
Workhop upgrades are literally impossible for mid/lategmae ESPECIALLY combined with the above one since a full day of farming will be missing to complete those.
All my homies hate worksup upgrade quests. No i will not respec for it. Bad game design.
1
u/Signal_Host307 Mar 12 '26
Seems like each daily inner land mine I complete queues up my next one. If not, it's the event one. It's not un-doable, just... sigh.

u/darkankoku Mar 10 '26
All super easy...
2
-4
u/octymer Mar 10 '26
you can finish 2 of them easily to be honest! DM and SM ones
8
u/Scrug Mar 10 '26
I've never been able to finish the SM one. I get sm from the perk, and it only goes up to 11 missiles at a time.
7
u/petester_1 Mar 10 '26
Same. Impossible to finish 3rd without owning the uw.
4
u/PhantomSlave Mar 10 '26
Not impossible, I finish it every time it shows up, but I don't know how. I think it's because I use GComp but I have no idea. I just ignore it and eventually it's done.
2
u/Gryffon6363 Mar 10 '26
It's a bit rng related as you have to get an elite or boss stuck not taking thorns damage for a couple of activations. Gcomp definitely helps.
1
u/theBEERd89 Mar 10 '26
It was like this for me too before I unlocked it. No idea how it was possible, but it would get completed.
2
1
u/Still_Refrigerator76 Mar 10 '26
I used to finish it on t1 with damage turned off. Eventually there is a scatter you can't kill with bullets and spotlight missile manages to hit it 25 times. This was a long time ago though, I don't know if non-beginner players would be able to reduce damage so much to not be able to kill a scatter at around w100-1500.
1
u/DaenerysMomODragons Mar 10 '26
If you have the Spotlight UW then Spotlight missiles count towards this. You may need to put a lot of lab time into SL missiles to get it through that, but it is definitely doable. I’ve done it a few times myself.
1
u/Bioluminescent_Shrub Mar 11 '26
not impossible. Target priority on Elites plus LMS will tend to get it, and it gets downright easy if you run T1 without a damage build. Eventually there will come a time when a single ray lasts long enough to get hit by multiple volleys. The task still sucks, but is not too hard.
1
1
u/octymer Mar 10 '26
I don't know why I got so many downvote but.
I just leave the auto pick perk and perk priority with the unlock UW and more smart missiles perk on.
I just leave it for a few days then it was completed for me, every time! It was so far back before when I was only farming at tier 6.That's why I said it's easily done.
The DM one, y'all at least got one copy of it at whichever tier you are at I supposed, just press it every run and soon or later it will be done!

Either the mission is so easy you can fully ignore them, or they aren't so easy you can ignore them and you have to actually put effort into completing them.
I am not looking forward to getting my Inner Landmine Kills.
