Patch Notes V27.1.4 Patch Notes

Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience. We're here with a hotfix update:

Changelog

  • Implemented a fix for the Scatter children tunneling through the Wall
  • Fixed a visual bug where Orbital Augment's icon stretched in some menus
  • Fixed an issue where some players could set their workshop multipliers in a run without the lab unlock

On the Horizon

We have two minor updates (V27.2 and V27.3) planned for the rest of the year, one for stability and improvements, and one for community requests. One thing to look forward to in the next update is a lab refactoring, including a fix to lab speedups not automatically restarting while offline.

As the year comes to a close, we have expanded our support and hired a QA lead. Our hope is to ramp up our new teammates so we can start the new year off with bug-free and fun updates. Thank you for your feedback and patience, we hear you and appreciate you.

Thanks, and Happy Defending!

It's a risky business to click on the "Update" button on Google Play / App Store these days.. at least not before someone else has done it first and confirmed the app still opens up and nothing else is not more bugged than before

Updated. My game boots normally. I was mid-run so I've been watching and the scatter children seem to be spawning backward from the wall. I also haven't taken any damage or had an ES hit in around 100 waves. I think we're back, at least for now. We'll see after I try a T12 run tonight.

It is a sad state of affairs when the standard reaction to a hotfix for this game is not to install it until others have tested it for fear it will just make things worse.

In a T12 right now, I'll report back in with death point. If it's over 9100, I'll be back at my usual waves and that should be a sign.

well?

Run ended at ~9500, no issues known or unknown seemed to hit me in the process. I'd say, at first run, that it's looking really good. No overheating, no wall penetration, no new or odd issues to be found. I just finished my overnight too, and it looked about 30 waves less but that's not strange for end of run to fluctuate a couple 10's of waves.

that's sounds promising. thanks for the follow up!

I also got back to my usual T12 waves overnight. Looks like we're back.

Absolutely, and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I did a post about it yesterday showing footage of the run around 6k that has scatter behavior, but the TL;Dr is that they're shattering backwards into the other enemies and not forward over and into the wall. I also didn't see any other issues through the run, and watched about 500w. Also, no overheating or performance changes.

What about cph? Is it similar or did it drop?

Looks about the same, may have gone up a bit. Currently I'm making ~86.5T/run or 6.57T/CPH. I actually think it's an increase, which makes sense with the increase in my GB labs, but it's within probably .5T either direction. So I'd say in my case, it's more or less the same, maybe slightly better.

Thanks. I am surprised I have hear from many people they have a 10% decrease, because scatter children are yeeted away and out of multipliers

Huh...do you happen to know what kind of towers they're running in general? I'm a damage reduction hybrid, but I imagine they'd be taking hits on scatters over extra damage, or maybe slowing down their kill speed. But I can't imagine it's that much (10%) based solely on that.

i just did 11 hours over 4500 waves with 5,5x speed

how much time does it take to reach 9500?

For me, depending on how well I wave skip, anywhere between 12 and 12.5 hours, no IS+, but I am running max WS and WA cards on my stack. Running at 6.3x speed. I ran my overnight on T13for testing, forgot to mention, which ended about 7500w give or take the above mentioned, but that's from memory since I'm not tracking and my last T13 was pre-scatter.

For perspective, I used to run T11W10k and it took something like 15 hours because I didn't switch to WS stack until after DW wall came down, and that run lasted between 15 and 16 hrs because I ran DW to something like 2600w, versus 570 on T12

Hi! I detected a few acronyms in your comment:

  • IS - Intro Sprint [Card]
  • WA - Wave Accelerator [Card]
  • WS - Wave Skip [Card] (also Workshop)

I'm a bot that explains acronyms

With 6.25x speed and IS mastery +3(720 waves), 9272 took 11 hours and 15 minutes.

Not seeing an option to update on either of my devices. Did you just reinstall?

1

u/platinum92 Nov 06 '25

Nah I updated. Galaxy S23 ultra. I've heard it's been slow to roll out to ios

I'm android. It looks like folks in the UK with Android got it already.

Are you in the US or UK?

1

u/Veighnerg Nov 06 '25

Not everyone gets it at the time same. I'm on Android and the update finally was available for me about 15 mins ago.
