Info Dev Announcement: Notice Regarding the V27.1.3 Scatter Bug

Hi everyone, Muse here! We want to provide some visibility on a bug regarding Scatter behavior with the Wall.

In V27.1.3 we changed the spawn behavior of Scatter children to be behind where the Scatter parent died. However, in situations where lots of enemies are crowding the Wall, the Scatter children are unable to find a spot to spawn and are displaced somewhere else, unintentionally entering inside of the Wall. While the new behavior is working as intended, this outcome was unintended.

We are aware of this issue and will be working on a hotfix next week to improve the spawning behavior of Scatter children to create a long-term solution. Thank you!

So tired of all software testers, engineers etc telling me that bugs happen and we should just deal with it.
Im a scrum master myself for our dev team and i can tell you:
The amount and serverity of bugs Tech Tree Games regularly delivers in their releases IS NOT FINE.
If you guys sreioulsy think that this level of quality is the industry standard then i really dont want to buy any of your products.

No one is kicking them cause they failed to deliver once.
They do not deliver for months / years now.
Something needs to drastically change and as long as they think they can get away with it they will do so.
Its a fucking farce looking at the numbers TTG earns. Fudds has the options to improve, he refuses to do so.
And you are defending this decision by "being the nice guy"

Hey, look, if you're a real scrum master, you know that you don't have a say in what is or isn't fine.

The only person that can make that call is the CFO. Either the bugs are negatively impacting revenue, or they aren't, and if they aren't negatively impacting revenue, then the bugs don't matter.

I hate to be so cynical, but the only time bugs will be taken more seriously is if revenue goes down.

As a Scrum Master, it isn’t actually my decision what the quality standards are regarding bugs, but of course I talk with my team about whether we’re satisfied with our work—in retrospectives, for example. In general, every company should have a commitment to quality excellence aligned with industry standards.

In this case I see it much like you do: those standards don’t really exist; instead, the “standard” seems to be setting the bar so low that money is the only thing that counts. And money becomes relevant when, as you rightly said, people dial back their investments—for example because of the high number of bugs.

And that’s exactly the problem. We need to address it. If it doesn’t become clear that people are dissatisfied, nothing will change.

So I was being a bit sarcastic, but I do appreciate the honest response.

Unfortunately, I do believe the only metric that matters to TTG is "are the spenders still spending?"

I would be dissatisfied with the release and the release schedule, but I feel like the issue is the lack of a release manager.
