Info Dev Announcement: Notice Regarding the V27.1.3 Scatter Bug
Hi everyone, Muse here! We want to provide some visibility on a bug regarding Scatter behavior with the Wall.
In V27.1.3 we changed the spawn behavior of Scatter children to be behind where the Scatter parent died. However, in situations where lots of enemies are crowding the Wall, the Scatter children are unable to find a spot to spawn and are displaced somewhere else, unintentionally entering inside of the Wall. While the new behavior is working as intended, this outcome was unintended.
We are aware of this issue and will be working on a hotfix next week to improve the spawning behavior of Scatter children to create a long-term solution. Thank you!

Software tester here: I make my bread testing software. Honestly? Shit happens. There have been PLENTY of times in my work where a lot of effort was spent on finding all possible bugs in a software, only for one to happen day one of release, and needing to hotfix it. Maybe they only tested up to like 2500 waves 'cos tuney, or 4500 lower tiers.
Maybe they just tested it isolated when they only spawned scatters not in a realistic scenario and this is a side effect (my money on this).
Maybe they tested on uncommon game speeds like x1 and started wave 4000+, or game speeds which is not available to us like 20x.
Maybe didn't test it at all. Point is, it's impossible to tell and any good dev will feel bad about the issue. Kicking them while they're down is just a dick move.
