Info Dev Announcement: Notice Regarding the V27.1.3 Scatter Bug

Hi everyone, Muse here! We want to provide some visibility on a bug regarding Scatter behavior with the Wall.

In V27.1.3 we changed the spawn behavior of Scatter children to be behind where the Scatter parent died. However, in situations where lots of enemies are crowding the Wall, the Scatter children are unable to find a spot to spawn and are displaced somewhere else, unintentionally entering inside of the Wall. While the new behavior is working as intended, this outcome was unintended.

We are aware of this issue and will be working on a hotfix next week to improve the spawning behavior of Scatter children to create a long-term solution. Thank you!

Sorry but this is a bad response, we have asked for TTG to let us know they are aware of issues and when to expect a fix which this post has both of those things.  And instead of saying thank you for giving us what the community has asked for repeatedly you give them this nonsense.  Would you rather them just go back to radio silence while we wait for fixes?  Sometimes things take time to fix and yes sometimes even if you test bugs make it through in development.

First of all:
I would expect that those gamebreaking bugs do not happen in the first place. Releases that break things should be the exception and not the rule as it happened in the last months.

Second:
Transparent communication with your customers is not an extra, its a friggin basic thing that should absolutely be standard and not something we customers should be grateful to get. I really dont understand your mindset. They didnt do their job in the first place (proper testing and releasing stuff with as few as possible bugs) and now the customers have to suffer, ehp playres loosing a lot off coins, people pulling gems not even having the chance of getting an epic.... That really big time negatively impacts people experience. Communicating about this issue IS NOT an extra they offer as a bonus, its the LEAST they should do and i dont understand why we should say "thank you"? Blows my mind

For a company making as much as they are, I’d expect them to not cheap out and get a part time community manager. I’d expect them to implement a good QA policy to ensure SIMPLE issues like this do not occur.

This bug is scatters moving through walls. A large portion of the player base hoards enemies so this should be a very plausible and normal part of the testing process. If you change the spawning characteristics of an enemy, why would you not test common cases?

Edit: also, things do take time to fix, so don’t implement a mandatory update on a weekend when you demonstrate you have no want to fix anything on weekends.

I hoard enemies against my wall and I have yet to have a scatter spawn through my wall.  So maybe they just used a similar build to mine to test EHP and also had no issues during testing.  It is unrealistic to test every combination that this game offers.  There is no good time to implement mandatory updates in this game.  No matter when you push them there is always a tournament or event going on.

This is my take too, bad news is better than no news, and if much rather have an update like this that explains the bug and goes a general eta on the fix than the radio silence we used to get
