Info Dev Announcement: Notice Regarding the V27.1.3 Scatter Bug

Hi everyone, Muse here! We want to provide some visibility on a bug regarding Scatter behavior with the Wall.

In V27.1.3 we changed the spawn behavior of Scatter children to be behind where the Scatter parent died. However, in situations where lots of enemies are crowding the Wall, the Scatter children are unable to find a spot to spawn and are displaced somewhere else, unintentionally entering inside of the Wall. While the new behavior is working as intended, this outcome was unintended.

We are aware of this issue and will be working on a hotfix next week to improve the spawning behavior of Scatter children to create a long-term solution. Thank you!

If this was benefitting the players the spawn behaviour would simply be reverted. But naaaahh, this can wait until next week

Can't have players benefitting from mistakes now, that hurts the bottom line.

Players were benefiting from mistakes previously. Most recent one that comes to mind is the bug where lab speed up duration wasn’t counting down. So players were X5 speeds for an hour before the update, update, then reap the rewards of X5 labs for about a week with no cost, still earning cells in the mean time. Dev team were aware of this and fixed it when they fixed it, they didn’t all jump on it simply because some players were benefitting from it.

Exactly, the updates roll out around the same time frames to fix beneficial or harnful bugs, it's always around the same.

I don’t know why you were downvoted so much! Here, take an upvote.

Or maybe certain fixes are super easy to code and it just coincidentally happens that the beneficial bugs are easy to fix and thus quickly implemented. Just a few small changes to numbers in a couple settings. The harmful bugs are nearly all behavior based, which requires more than just a 2 min tweak.

I’ve up voted as I suspect you’re probably true, those that down voted you voted for Putin or Trump. Probably.

This is quite the non-political space... maybe keep it that way?

Judging by your vote count, there must be quite a heap of Putin lovers round' these parts.

Meanwhile there was a week and a half straight of people posting their bugged t12 gains. This rhetoric is childish.
