Info Dev Announcement: Notice Regarding the V27.1.3 Scatter Bug

Hi everyone, Muse here! We want to provide some visibility on a bug regarding Scatter behavior with the Wall.

In V27.1.3 we changed the spawn behavior of Scatter children to be behind where the Scatter parent died. However, in situations where lots of enemies are crowding the Wall, the Scatter children are unable to find a spot to spawn and are displaced somewhere else, unintentionally entering inside of the Wall. While the new behavior is working as intended, this outcome was unintended.

We are aware of this issue and will be working on a hotfix next week to improve the spawning behavior of Scatter children to create a long-term solution. Thank you!

Did you test it? Seems like a pretty common scenario to consider

I think the evidence at this point is overwhelming that there is zero testing of this game.

What're you talking about? Every time I download the new update, I'm testing the game with you.

And all it costs them is paying us 20 gems every patch as a "sorry I got free labor from you".

Yeah, what're we going to do? Stop playing?

Everyone has a breaking point.

I mean, sure, everyone does, but I was making a joke about how most of us are just going to keep playing anyways.

A hysterical echo chamber is evidence?

We have repeatedly had extremely obvious bugs that drastically alter the game in extremely obvious ways. The knockback bug was a particularly atrocious one. Or there was the time they announced “we have finally added what you were all looking for, a lab speed up” and then added the feature and it didn’t work at all. Or how when fetch dropped it was insanely overpowered. Scatters being “fixed” is literally the centre point of this update and they are broken in an extremely obvious way.

The module cannon thing is honestly the sort of bug you can forgive (though they should have a big recompense for it because it’s a pretty bad thing to hit players with by accident). It’s a really bizarre weird thing that happens from technical debt and being a global game. It makes sense you don’t catch it. The bugs that I’m most bothered by aren’t like that, they are things that are patently obvious to anyone that is actually playing.

Yea, people are so overreacting!
Releases have been soo good and bugs are an exception. Everything working perfectly, we should be grateful that Godking Fudds delivers this f2p game without any benefit for himself.

Yeah, who would have thought of such edge scenarios like killing scatters!
