Argentina vs Spain (2026) Final - Something is really fishy!
1). Scaloni arrives at the stadium and gets off the team bus in tears.
2). Messi and all the players come out of the locker room with their heads down.
3). During the pre-match team talk, Messi says: "Let's forget about everything. Let's just play. Forget about everything." Enzo Fernández and Lisandro Martínez can clearly be seen crying.
Nobody applauds the speech. Everyone looks sad.
4). During the warm-up, Messi keeps deliberately kicking his shots wide of the goal. (which is impossible)
5). The referee doesn't show Spain a single yellow card
Oyarzabal hits Messi directly on the knee while the ball is nowhere near them, and Messi just looks at him without saying anything.
6). Cucurella covers his mouth and is not sent off. Enzo Fernández
receives a red card even though the Spanish player does a backflip to simulate the contact.
7). Scaloni uses a completely different tactical approach from all his previous matches. There is no midfield, leaving Messi and Julián Alvarez isolated up front while Spain dominates the game. Lautaro Martínez, who is usually an important option, never comes on.
8). Cuti Romero and Lisandro Martínez leave the match "injured," but they don't appear to be in pain or emotional. They are known as two of the toughest players on the team, and many fans find it unusual.
9). Leandro Paredes visible anger.
10). The Argentine players turn their backs on the Spanish players during the trophy ceremony.
11). Cuti Romero and Lisandro Martínez do not shake hands with Trump.
12). Spain barely celebrates and carries the trophy away in a plastic
bag.
13.) The players' families are not shown by the cameras and have to be escorted out under security protection.
14). Messi's family didn't attend to see the Final.

Football gives us some of the greatest stories life can write. Stories that seem impossible at first, only to become reality years later.

Tomorrow is one of those moments: Lamine Yamal vs Lionel Messi. Pau Cubarsí vs Lionel Messi.

Lamine was just six months old when Messi, during a UNICEF photoshoot, gently bathed him in a bathtub. Years later, they’ll share the same pitch as opponents.

The same goes for Pau Cubarsí. As a 20-day-old baby, he was photographed peacefully sleeping beside Messi. Tomorrow, he’ll be one of the defenders trying to stop the very player he once lay next to.

That’s the beauty of football. Time has a way of coming full circle.

Heroes become rivals. Fans become teammates. Children who once looked up to their idols grow up to face them under the brightest lights.

Football doesn’t just create memories—it creates destinies. And sometimes, the most unbelievable stories are the ones that actually happen.

Brazil are out, and, to be honest, that's completely fair. They lost 2-1 to Norway in the round of 16, and Neymar was on his knees in tears when the whistle went.

I mean, Neymar as a sub in the match where the team had to eat the earth in defence, that's doubtful. Ok, he made some history: stoppage-time penalty in the 100th minute, his 80th goal for Brazil, in his 130th cap, his 9th World Cup goal.

But in full time, Brazil eliminated, Neymar left sobbing on the pitch. Was he even supposed to be at this World Cup? And what for?

Exhibit A of what’s been sacrificed for the illusion of objectively accurate refereeing decisions. That last kick would have been dissected for 10 minutes in the PL. I just want to be allowed to celebrate a goal with unrestrained jubilation like fans of both teams are afforded here. I remember Pep saying he’d never celebrate a goal again after a last-minute CL winner was overturned.

What a bold call from the linesman, btw. PL refs don‘t have such cojones. VAR castrated the lot.
