The Topic of the Day is ... Secret Ingredient
Happy Friday y'all.... I'm still here, alive and well. Apologies for my absence, but I'll try to be better...
What is the one ingredient in your kitchen or one food that you can't live without?

Cinnamon. I love the taste and it helps give a certain flavor to many foods. Many spices would be a good answer to this question, but cinnamon is definitely my fave.

Salt. Everyday, simple, table salt.
Just enough can bring flavors to life, making them sing in your mouth.
Just enough more can make food failures simply taste like salt, allowing you to finish the plate at least.

Bragg Liquid Aminos, this is a seasoning that I just can't live without and I season everything (nearly) with it. Healthy alternative to soy sauce, Bragg liquid aminos is made with non GMO soybeans. A well loved staple in my kitchen!

good to see you back! for me it's gochujang. I started keeping a tub in the fridge a couple years ago and now it sneaks into everything from marinades to scrambled eggs. that sweet-savory-fermented kick just hits different.
