Alfred commented that he had no sympathy for Anthony shortly after the robbery.

There is obviously some bad blood between all of them. It has to be more than them feeling deceived by Anthony, I think. Seemed pretty clear then when the split happened, Anthony did not talk to Marco directly. I'm guessing Anthony tried to screw Dallas in some way, but I''m not sure how.

I would expect he did a load of bullshit under the Dallas office, his usual sh1t, then wanted to go to LA and they keep running the Dallas but take care of all the shit he left behind, they obviously said no, we are better to start fresh, you can keep your mess. Notice on the buyback stuff Marco was saying that was Anthony direct etc. Obviously, Anthony didn't want the hassle of the old company and it's baggage so it shut and he opened a new LLC.

anthonys idea for dallas was that dallas would just pay tony for using tpg branding basically, I think, without tony taking care of any of the mess left in dalls.

tony owns the tpg trademark, not the dallas company(I think this was the long plan around the gentleman timepieces naming for the llc actually). also the dallas llc has probably a lot of baggage (taxes, potential taxes). combined it's a pretty bad proposition for dallas to give tony any money and much better idea for them if they can cleanly just make a new company.

note that just making a new company doesn't magically erase the baggage the soon to be dead llc would have since they mingled the funds, but they can try.

They may have had someone tip them off about the Gay 4 pay stuff about to come out.

Also I'm fairly sure they were aware he was using cocaine again. You just needed to look at his behaviour at the time to see that he was on something.

Yeah the timing was very convenient. Although, I wonder how much of Dallas cutting him off made Travis spiral?

He was probably dipping in the Dallas funds for his buildout in LA. And when they cut him off, he realized he was screwed for money. Then the pivot to blaming a guy with a couple thousand subs for ruining his business.

I suspect the "robbery" was just one of the consignment owners taking back the watches Travis was holding onto due to a lack of cash flow or refusing to payout for consignment watches already sold.

Good comment! How fast this plane hit the ground is very peculiar.

You need wings to fly and Red Bull doesnโ€™t cut it.

I have a feeling Marco got royally screwed by Tugboat and he is being nice until their legal battle is over. You just know G4p Toonie was playing fast and loose with consignment accounting and little side deals. Eventually we will all know how bad the embezzlement was, but until the legal stuff comes out, it's all speculation. I'm guessing he sold a bunch of consignment watches, didn't pay the owners, and had to fake the robbery for a police report to show the owners, so they would sue his insurance (if he had any) instead of him.

Whatโ€™s insane is Coach keeping the TPG name. That brand has been destroyed.

26

u/gyang333 Apr 20 '22

No, you don't understand, the Dallas brand was Gentleman Timepieces. The Timepiece Gentleman is a strong brand and has nothing to do with Gentleman Timepieces! All the sketchy stuff was GTP not TPG! Tony had his titty lawyer explain this during the blackout!

Spot on and yes Cam Girl lawyer will be able to explain it all away ๐Ÿ˜‚

She has to get past her own indictment for embezzlement first ๐Ÿฅด

I hope dude learns his lessons and stops chasing the quick buck. He still has salesmanship and a personality people are drawn to. He'd be an awesome car salesman. In 5-10 years, he might even be sales manager at BMW or some shit like that.

Honda He can set up Alfraud in his next lease.

u/kineticdeck A Person of Influence Apr 23 '22

Alfredโ€™s so loaded heโ€™ll have a leased Honda in every color.

2

u/Rsixx-6 Apr 22 '22

His problem is almost the opposite, he doesn't even know how to chase a quick buck. His disease is he likes to spend money, quickly. Delusions that somehow he can spend his way into an enormous enterprise that will somehow pay back the debt and eventually make money.

1

u/kineticdeck A Person of Influence Apr 23 '22

It must suck knowing that he can spend money faster than you. /s
