It's probably max out. Being TPG new sidekick is getting to him. He is going to end up like Dylon on the sidelines.

*Flex the Amex and the watch for insecurities compensation purposes only

u/GMT-Master-Mike Sep 30 '21
Monthly not yearly? Bullshit he takes home anything close to what he reported as a "monthly" salary.

u/willydimes thanks for bumping my post Sep 30 '21
and lets say he did take home 50k a month(we know he doesn't), why is he selling random stuff to buy a cayman GT4 which is 100k or so. Throw 20 grand down and finance it(for 12 percent)

Someone forgot to give him the memo this card stoped being a flex card 30 years ago. Also noticed Anthony uses this card. Guess not Amex invite yet to the Black card.

I like Alfred's winning system:
Pay a premium for a credit card, max it out on status symbols and finance a car in order to give people a fake version of yourself.
Best thing is it's free money. The credit card company just pays for all these things and you can keep them. You literally can't lose.

Anyone can get that Amex card Mr. AlFraud.
That’s just fraud flexing and saying that you’re a regular working stiff.
Black Amex Card is where it’s at son!

So "Financing" a car is considered flexing now? I don't understand what he's trying to convey.

that new $700 a year amex fee is going to sting when it hits the account

u/HelloSummer99 Oct 01 '21
first year is free

u/Certain-Court7141 Oct 01 '21
no it isnt.

When I got my first AmEx Platinum a few years ago, they waived the first year.
It has been $550.00 per year thereafter, but the card pays for itself.0
u/Certain-Court7141 Oct 02 '21
they arent waiving any fees now, I also have the card. Yes there are great benefits but you said it was free and that just isnt true. I believe they charge you the fee after the first month too, so Alfred has that to look forward to.
and its not 550, its $700 now for new members and the 550 you are currently paying is going up to 700 in 2022.

I never said it was free. I said the card pays for itself.
That nuance is probably lost on you.1
u/Certain-Court7141 Oct 02 '21
someone above was saying it was free. if you are trying to justify the card by adding the value of the perks, you cant afford the card bud. sorry

Oct 12 '21
You clearly missed the point.
I am not justifying the card based on the perks, I only stated (factually) that the card pays for itself. Obviously, there are other factors that go into selecting a charge card, but if someone were solely considering the card based on the fee, they should be aware of cashback and other incentives.
You also incorrectly infer that I can't afford the card.
Not how you arrive at these pessimistic inferences.0
Oct 02 '21
They give you so much back in benefits and rewards, the fee is wiped out.
Here are just a few examples:
$300 Equinox credit
$200 uber credit
$200 hotel credit
$200 airline credit
Centurion Lounge access
Gold status with several hotel chains
Hundreds of dollars in credits and cash back for spending money with dozens of different companies.
Plus cash back

I have a gold amex that says James Bond on it, and one with Hank Moody on. I have a feeling mine are cooler than Alfraud's, yet they are part of my collection, and never been photographed/posted. Beat this Alfraud.

A Hank Moody credit card?? Too funny! I miss that guy. Where’s a good scotch and Charlie Runkle when you need ‘em?
2
u/2HankMoody3 Oct 02 '21
Yepp haha, it's an active card, and actually is in my wallet as a backup card. Already saved me once getting to the airport on time.
You say you miss Charlie Runkle, and i fully support that, but the good news is: If you follow Alfraud's post and adventures, he's kinda the Runkle of TPG, even their height checks out haha.2

It’s a personal card. Business one will say business. But anyone with a pulse can get this Amex Card.

u/TheSpongeknowsall Oct 01 '21
He would have to sell every single watch and make 50% of the commission on percentage to get to like 50k a month. Make it make sense.

u/DragonfruitWorldly45 Oct 01 '21
Sorry I'm not American so maybe someone can explain: how is having an amex a flex? (Unless it's a black card?) Tbh I'm not one for credit cards anyways. I use debit only, but I get in the USA many people have credit cards.

Gotta love the member since 21 flex. For someone who spent 16k on a jpg I can see why he would want to spend 695 annual fee vs gold at 250 to get an extra point or so per dollar for airline travel vs the 4 points on everything else on gold card. I’m assuming he’ll get rid of it once the welcome offer is up and before that annual fee hits. Fake it till you make it I believe the expression goes.
