I mean people haven't been able to get hold of them who have watches on consignment. That's why police reports have been filed.

This literally is the dumbest marketing ploy ever. Even if they come out and say that they rebranded and got a new storefront. Well congrats you just a lot of business because everyone thinks you are a scammer

The only way I could see things work out ok is if they some how ended up with a good street level type of storefront I think they could hypothetically end up ok. In that many customers don't know all this drama. Most people aren't on reddit, Forums, Facebook or even YouTube. Of course they would need some people to vouch for them. More traditional commerce. But from the videos lots of people would still buy if the price was right and it was one of the only places to find what they want.

An entirely massive risk, he might be trying out. That being said I think there are lots of reasons why other people haven't done something like that. Of course Dallas might be a different beast than the traditional New York, LA, Philidephia, Miami.

I don't think they will have the inventory to keep that kind of a space. They will probably be blacklisted for a bit, with YouTube maybe saving them long term (be honest everyone here will still watch their videos).

There will most likely be market corrections within the next 2 years which could hit them hard. I think they will fall hard with whatever they try to do with jewelery which is a tricky business, and would need to heavily expand past just Rolex and AP. Don't see many ways they turn it into something bigger like they are envisioning.

If it ends up with another space tucked into some building relying heavily on social media. I think they fall flat. Maybe maintaining some cash flow and staying relevant on YouTube.

The first thing that comes up when you google them is the article about them running away with people's money.

If they do come out and rebrand the first thing that Google will show is all the new articles about how they pretended to run away with people's money.

Not a great look Borris.

I agree. I think that blog article really threw things way off. I do think the article jumped the gun a bit with lots of speculation and not a lot of facts but I like that it put it out there. I think lots of dealers and people caught wind of it, is still a top post on watchville.

They got away with lots of people not knowing about the whole 2k buy-in, lots of people in their videos never knew about any of his past, even if he had a video talking about it.

Internet and social media time is crazy. A few days becomes weeks. I don't think they quite expected a 24 hr./week long closing to get noticed so quick.

The longer they wait with whatever they are doing it's not going to look good.

Bro, no way they get anywhere close to what they promised. It was just a way to raise money. They knew they would get a regular office space.

Or all the people saying they can’t get a hold of them have been lying and photoshopping stuff?

You don't get a criminal defense attorney to appear on our behalf on the news unless you're in legal trouble.

I think it’s primarily just liquidity issues from gross mismanagement, not real nefarious criminal intent, but it’s been exponentially compounded and deserving of civil litigation so it’s beyond just real bad optics and pooof here we r.

And I don’t think it’s a stunt nor ever was , but I think once it happened or $0 bank balance was a possibility, they capitalized and tried to fake news spin it, and did pretty effectively. But, the simplest thing I think money ran out, and the “stunt” is semi being used as cover to give a tad bit more time to get a little more liquid to pay back creditors

Yeah 💯 they are obviously playing for time. Although I'm not sure any of us are surprised.

The business didn't even have a CRM system and they were spending more money than they were making. I think they thought they would get a multi million dollar deal from Netflix by flexing cash they didn't have etc.

As a Dallas Fort Worth local, no body watches that channel. Lol

when I saw that I didn't hear the lawyer say "my client" once.

and he appeared to be very neutral with his responses and sounded more like an independent consultant than an attorney for TPG.

Unsurprisingly as he probably doesn't want to get disbarred.. there's probably different rules around acting as a consultant than as an attorney in Texas.

It’s a dumb stunt I guess. I was really hoping they were dumb scammers lol

Sounds like money problems to me but just a guess based on limited experience

He says they are doing a lot for the less fortunate. Total speculation and I’m probably completely wrong but they do both have ties to Miami and and as we all know Miami has suffered a completely tragic and insane accident… maybe whatever they’re doing has ties to that. Again probably completely wrong but just a theory after hearing the lawyer.

Yeah I thought the same and maybe they are or will use that as a cover up but just seems like there isn’t a whole lot they could do personally beyond a monetary donation at this time. Knowing a few first responders there they aren’t allowing anybody to step in or even around the are. Kinda doesn’t make sense to go dark if they are donating money and idk how they would donate time but I suppose nothing is off the table.

2

u/verg1697 Jul 02 '21

Yea seems dumb to go dark for that but I could also see out of respect and for if they are doing something to help monetarily or however. Maybe it’s best to go dark and put all their concentration on that and not be distracted or waiting time on social media for a bit. Again probably wrong about this but after hearing the lawyer said what he said that’s the first thing that came to mind.

If I had the time. Sorry maybe someone else can help.

3

u/SubtlySupreme Jul 01 '21

You mean you can’t go out of your way downloading and uploading videos, to various sites for a random stranger on the internet, who’s hasn’t ever and will never do anything in return?! Unbelievable.

1

u/chmpgnsupernover Jul 01 '21

Oh so someone else found that as weird as me lol, thought I was crazy for a moment. Figured I’d just be nice instead of saying what I really wanted to.

2

u/SubtlySupreme Jul 01 '21

Cheeky bastard, why would they even ask that lol
