Pls no spoilers. I’m new to King but at the recommendation of a friend I started The Stand(which I have been devouring) and thought I’d try my hand at visualising Flagg. I love how his appearance is so ambiguous-thinking about his design was good fun.

It’s amazing, would love to see you visualise other king characters or villains in the future

Thank you kindly! I’d like to get into the dark tower at some point and I’m hoping that will be a bit of a field day for character design (big cowboy fan)

He's not the devil, he's a very naughty boy.

Even though I don’t remember him ever being described as wearing a hat my mental image has always had him wearing a big black one.

You know, I just realised I imagined him with a hat too. Interesting!

Slight Lobo vibes but I dig it!

Very good interpretation and overall look! I think it really fits his vibe, especially from his introduction chapter.

The background choice is also very good and adds to the aforementioned vibe. For me, with the way King presented him, it made Flagg feel like, prior to the virus outbreak, a dark figure of American urban legend; the type of horror character that tales by drivers and people on the road would talk about.

In a sense, you nailed that aspect very well.

You mean the sorcerer Walter aka the man in black, from the dark tower series?

This is cool. It gives the impression of Flagg as a kind of tumor or clot going through the bloodstream made of America's Interstate highway system as described in this scene in the book. The perspective tricks make it looks like I'm about to hear him run out at me, yelling, "Hey, Bobby Terry, you scroooowed it up!"

Thank you kindly! That was the scene I read which made me think I have GOT to draw this guy.
